We were asked to design a symbol for a cause and I chose Feminism. Feminism is often paired with extremism and rejection of what is feminine. I created a symbol of a feminine figure to attempt to suggest that feminism is more approachable and does not fit into the stereotype that society has placed upon it.

We had to redesign a website based on illuminated manuscripts that we viewed at the Blanton. We redesigned the website www.booooooom.com which is a popular website to explore art on. The top webpage is our redesign and the bottom is the original.

This is a link to some example spreads from my book "Eastside Homes Stories and Poems". This book was created by taking images in a neighborhood in East Austin. I sent these images to volunteers (who were unfamiliar with the area) and had them write down what they thought about the home. I prompted them to explore what kind of lives the homes contained and what emotions they felt when looking at the houses. They sent back their responses and I am in the process of illustrating the homes. The homes will be illustrated by 3 other artists and myself. When the illustrations are done the book will be completed. The book is perfect bound with a soft cover.

This is a time lapse I made of a bike trip in East Austin. It was made to show the neighborhoods many different facets through an interesting perspective. It is also a commentary on what it is like to commute by bicycle in Austin. There was a glitch and the title and ending text are not visible. (Note: This video has sound!)

This piece was created in After Effects. It is a motion piece designed to show a futuristic weather program that would be controlled by a user. In order to create this I broke up the piece based on elements of the LATCH system (location, alphabetical, time, category, hierarchy). The elements used are Location, Alphabet, and Time. (This video has sound!)
