It's quite interesting how jodie and haibara are made parallels with the focus more on jodie in this ending.

the black organization killed both their whole families leaving them alone (like please that lab fire "accident" can't possibly be an accident)

vermouth being their common enemy specifically. like the antagony connection runs deep with the rotten apple. especially vermouth seems to hate sherry so much for unknown (yet) reasons

both were offered the witness protection program at one point and refused it

love that ending with them parting ways each to their own with their found family (haibara with the detective boys and agasa while jodie with shuichi and camel). it's like jodie is saying "i see you're not alone anymore" then carries on.
