ON THE ROAD
with
JEROME LOVE
"For me, it started with the bike. I originally bought the 1978 Yamaha XS750 as something fun and reliable (ha!) to get around on.
The bike has a cult following, for its “personality” (read as: quirks and engineering at times that seems to make no sense). I had some mechanics tell me the best thing to do was, “Dig a hole and bury it” and of course you get the whole “two wheeled death machine” vibe. However, when it’s tuned, it’s a beautiful machine.
What began as nostalgia, morphed into the constant “little fixes” (read: money pit) and finally after a year or so, with some really gracious friends and a lot of elbow grease, this thing become my main mode of transportation and I wanted to do something with that.
Last February, Gabe (of The Brooklyn Circus SF) and I dreamt up this little idea and P.F. Flyers was a natural fit. Authentic American Style to me isn’t just apple pies, eagles and the stars and stripes but learning experience, optimism of adventure and the likeminded people you gravitate towards along the way.
#RoadToFreedomHall is the result; a three day, 1100 mile journey by motorcycle through four states and ending at one of the most important fashion industry events, Liberty Fairs - Freedom Hall.
But this isn’t just about me or the bike.
This is about you.
This is an open invitation to you in Authentic American Style. Share your journey on the #RoadToFreedomHall and whether it’s on two wheels, two wings or something in between, privilege that experience.”
