W.F.T.M.I - Meditation
DISCLAIMER:
The information below is based upon research done by Autumn White. Any unoriginal thoughts or facts are cited next to the research.  Any original thoughts will be made based on personal experience with the exception of interviewed witches who will be credited next to their experiences and opinions. 
AT THE END OF THE DAY WITCHCRAFT IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT IT IS NOT A CURE ALL. PLEASE, IF YOU ARE HAVING ANY CONCERNS ABOUT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH, TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR AND SEEK HELP.

I stuffer from PTSD from childhood trauma, severe depression and severe anxiety. I’m currently taking depression medication every day and an anxiety medication as needed for panic attacks. I also self medicate with marijuana. 
So my PCP’s advice is: Meditate, self-care, take time for yourself each day to keep to yourself to calm your mind.  Get 8 hours of straight sleep and eat at least 3 meals a day without missing this. Make a schedule to make this easier. 
Meditation Benefits To Mental Health

In today’s modern world, stress seems to be a normal part of everyday life. But a number of adverse health effects have been associated with stress, including an increased risk of headaches, muscle pain or tension, fatigue, changes in sex drive, gastrointestinal symptoms, anxiety, and sleep difficulty. Meditation In Witchcraft

My personal opinions
Meditation is one of the beginning steps of witchcraft that can be useful to seek answers. It is also a very heavy and helpful relaxer. I have insomnia, and after just 1 session I was already relaxed and in a perfect position to fall asleep. I’ve also joined in a guided group meditation. It was intense! I was so impressed at the things I could just barely make out, and I got to admit, I was skeptical at first because I didn’t know if I was accurate in my seeings. As soon as others stated what they saw and it was similar to my experience, I was floored with excitement.  Do I recommend giving meditation a try?: Absolutely. 10/10 recommend you give it a go tonight. Witchcraft for the mentally ill.
Hello everyone, thank you so much for sticking with me through this difficult time in my life.  I’ve been talking with my doctors and I’m now set up for therapy for the next 3 months at least. I’ve been formally diagnosed with PTSD from child trauma, severe depression and anxiety.  I’m being prescribed a new medication that should hopefully see some results. But I will be praying to the Moon Goddess and Sun God just as normal on my worse days to help cope.  A follower of mine reached out on the day that I posted I was taking a small break to find out what was happening with me mentally and they said that they also suffer from mental illness. I thank that person for reaching out and letting me know I’m not alone in this. They inspired me in part of my decision for this next bit I’m about to share. 
Mental illness cannot be cured by magic, however, it can be used as a coping mechanism for stressful times, and that itself can help with the rough days that come with mental illness. 
(Funny enough, my doctor actually recommended everything witchcraft related to me before I mentioned I was a witch. It’s more reassuring and nice to have someone in the medical field who can back up the magical workings on the human body.)  As we jump back into the wonderful world of witchcraft and continue our studies, I thought what a wonderful way than to explore a unit on witchcraft for the mentally ill before we dive into the shadow workings.  I’ll be creating a somewhat scheduled and more detailed look on what I’ll be posting within this upcoming week (husband’s birthday is tomorrow otherwise I would post it tomorrow, haha)

🆘 Broke witch protection 🆘
Ok this one is the most...and I mean THE MOST cheap protection spell EVER. It works on yourself/small areas (like a circle).
BUT...it requires intention and you gotta be focused.
WHAT TO DO: sit down, stay still and breathe deeply, now imagine to move all of your energy in your hands .
This step is super important, so take all the time you need. Hold your breath and CLAP YOUR HANDS AS LOUD AS YOU CAN. JUST ONCE. Focus your attention on the sound which is spreading in the air around you. Move your hands to create a sphere and... you're done ✌🏻
👏🏻Why is this supposed to work?
Well a protective spell creates an energy barrier between you and whatever comes outside your barrier. Clapping your hands is the easiest way to produce energy and the sound that is produced allows you to manipulate that energy ✨
Fun fact: this was the first spell my grandma taught me and the first that I did, I was 8 years old...yeah I'm a weird kiddo ✌🏻 at that time I used it to keep away the nightmares during the night 😊✨

Since I’m about to start Shadow Work myself, I’ll be uploading a bunch of Shadow Work tips from other witches! Enjoy!
Shadow Work.
Shadow work is the proccess of transmuting ones suppressed aspects of ones self. Unconscious habits or some buried thought patterns inside it. 
When someone is not getting their shadow integrated they tend to be naive and is not their whole self anymore, thus, not being the best version of themselves.
Integration of the shadow could be a dangerous process. What’s even more dangerous is having an unintegrated shadow. This is a lifetime process and should be studied carefully. There’s no going back after you’ve started it.
Fundamentals of Integrating the Shadow Self
The first and most important step is admitting that you have a shadow self: stop being unreal and all fluffy living inside a rainbow and admit that there’s a dark part of yourself that needs to be balanced with your light self (lets assume).
To proceed, the next step is to look for triggers: anything that triggers negative emotions or makes you feel uncomfortable. This could be anything and it could be  thoughts and actions of your own, or someone elses. Look for similarities and start connecting the dots.
Then, you need to ask yourself questions: why am I responding this way? and where has this way came from? this is to know the root cause of that thought pattern, and it is very powerful and necessary in order to move into the next step.
Last but not least, Be the destroyer and the healer: Take the limiting beliefs and start asking: what is this belief causing me? is it serving me or not? then destroy it. Destroying a belief has multiple ways, but for me the most powerful way is to say: I reject that thought. you could say it out loud (and it’s more powerful) or you could say it in your head. Be attentive and creative about it.

Something I’m going to be trying for the next new moon!
New Moon Wishing Spell

Tonight is the begining of the new lunar cycle. The New Moon energy is a time of new beginnings and intention setting. If something you want seems out of reach, this is the perfect chance to make a wish. Conjure your desires with this simple spell!
What you’ll need:
• Pen & paper
• Cauldron
• White or silver candle
First, write your wish on a piece of paper. Keep it short and sweet but be specific. A sentence or two should do. As you write drown your intentions, remember that you are commiting to do your part to make it a reality! Fold up the paper to seal your intention. Then, use the flame of the candle to light the paper. Let the paper burn down in your cauldron and recite the wish chant.
This is my wish. This is my will.
Magic come forth, my wish fulfill!
As the flame burns, my light shines through.
As the moon turns, my wish come true!
When you’re finished snuff out the candle. Repeat the spell every night with the same candle until you feel like it worked. Be patient, wishes don’t come true overnight! On the last night, let the candle burn all the way down and thank the moon by finishing the chant.
Light of the moon so strong and chill,
I thank you for working my will.
