So @chrisnewbie create the Strangetown Hotel for her Strangeytown neighborhood, and it's based off the Sims 2 DS right? She bases her design more on the exterior of the hotel first and then builds the exterior afterward. And I don't blame her, the Hotel in the DS game is basically a Tardis: it's a lot bigger on the inside than it is on the outside.

But it got me wondering what the Hotel would look like if you focused on the interior rather than the exterior. Or at least the parts of it that make it a hotel. And so I made this strange hotel:

I'm still testing it out, but basically I took snapshots of the Main Lobby, the Small Guest Room, the Modern Guest Room, the Jungle Guest Room, the Deluxe Guest Room, AND the Sun Deck, blueprinted them, and then attempted to put them together into a weird little building puzzle in the game.

Those are the only rooms from the DS game that I used in this build, but I did add a few more rooms make the place look 'better': two public bathrooms, a library, a community gaming area, a gym, a playground, and two grilling areas (one ground level, one second floor). I wanted it to still have that vibe of the hotel that has EVERYTHING in it even if the main focus was just the Guest Rooms.

The Deluxe Room was so big I couldn't fit it into a single picture (see below). It's also the one I altered the most as I put it on the second floor: it's supposed to have stairs going down to a lower platform to reach the fireplace, but I put the room on the 2nd floor and opted to just make it a platform instead (I spent 30 minutes trying and failing to do the L-shape stairs trick for the main lobby and I wasn't about to try build tricks again on this build.)

The Deluxe Guest Room has the luxury of this big side patio upstairs! It's also the most expensive apartment on the lot (+5,000 a week).

The Hotel Owner's room and the Penthouse were removed because you can only have 4 apartments per lot, so I just turned them into a pair of houses. Never took pics of them though.

Anyway it was a fun little experiment and I'm gonna go play instead of build for now lol.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

i love simblr. I love playing the game, something cool happening and thinking "omg i need to show them this thing". There are simblr things that just make sense.

I love sending my sims over and watching people caring for them as much as i do. They making my sim a spouse and a third people saying "they are cute! My otp!" And me going "YES THEY ARE MY BABY TOO ARENT THEY CLEVER"

I love having peoples sims on my game and feeling like we are family now. Sending pics of the sim's life as i am gossiping and sharing.

Its just so fun. When i made my account i didnt expect being so involved, having mutuals and actually thinking of them as my friends 🥺

Hi. It's been a while. Hope things have been good for you.

This is not me promising an immediate comeback with more Sims content or anything like that. It's more of an "I'm here and I'm fine" thing, since I've been gone for several months now.

I don't plan on completely abandoning this blog, but I've been in a big Sims crash for a while now. The only Sims games I've been able to motivate myself to play lately are the old console games.

I've been getting the itch to come read some sims stories again so you'll probably see me reblogging other simblrs soon. I'm hoping that'll inspire me to get back into my legacies and stuff again.

Something must have trigger in Spencer's noggin though, because once Jeff and Melanie finished star gazing, he finally asked for a little Woohoo!

And then she forgot where her bed was. Since it was a routing error, I gave him a command for Woohoo myself. Not like they're going to be permanent house guests anyway.

...I hope.

Cy decided to schmooze a bit with the maid when she came by. You think he'll try and seduce her too?

Him and Melanie have a super high friendship now. And he keeps tossing out flirts and compliments to her.

I don't remember this teen's name, but apparently they're dating Parker's sister Mazey. I guess she likes goth boys as much as her mom does.

We had to interview him because of his sister's missing toothpaste.

And we got a trophy afterwards for completing three cases! Weird that we only needed 3 for this but whatever.

I have talked on ends about how boring Melanie is. So far she's mostly spent her time painting, and only talks to people if they come to her, not the other way around.

Well. I can't say that anymore.

Cy doesn't even try to hide his advancements from Spencer!

And the weirdest thing is, Spencer doesn't even seem to care??? What's going on here???

Parker had to call everyone to dinner because SOMEONE kept trying to make hot dogs.

Spencer: Seriously Cy, we're not made of money.

These two talked immediately after. Do you think Cy wanted to make amends?

Well, maybe there's more going on than you think.

Once we arrive back at home, Parker immediately breaks the kitchen sink.

Parker: My training has made me too strong! GRAAAAH.

And Jeff was too jet-lagged to care about whatever Cy was saying.

Speaking of Jeff, remember all those books he read in China?

He brought them all home! Instead of putting them back on the shelves, he kept them in his inventory!

Not only is he a good travelling companion, he's a good thief! Parker and him would work well together.

Both of them had wants to go to the Scholar's Garden, so we ended the day with them sharing a fire pit and some marshmellows.

I don't think this man should be allowed to cook.

Especially cause it happened twice in a row.

On our final day, we spent a little quality time with Jeff at the Phoenix Academy, starting with a little game of chess.

The guys then took out some frustration on the martial arts stuff. Jeff chose to use the upstairs stuff. A little embarrassed about his slapping technique I guess.

He finished up a bit before Parker and went straight to work reading the books in the Academy.

Since we had 2 more days, I figured I'd do one more round exploring a different tomb. Which also didn't take long to run through.

We were then asked to get raw Palladium by our quest giver.

He keeps getting the Celebrity Opportunity to work out even in other countries. Guess he's got to keep appearances up or something.

Also you can apparently get a taxi boat in certain parts of China? Didn't even realize this worked in other countries.
