So the National Park Service removed any mention of trans people from the page on the Stonewall National Monument. And removed the word 'transgender' from the page on Sylvia Rivera.
Hell no. Trans women of color built the gay rights movement. Full stop.

Sorry for the long ass text post by the way, i just needed to get it out of my system.
As a trans MAN myself, living in the time that i do right now is terrifying, but now is not the time to feel hopeless. It's the time to feel anger, to be pissed off, to be there for the trans community.
Its stressful and disappointing living in a country where (at least for me personally, not everyone can don't forget that) you can have access to gender affirming care, and are able to get it, but are still hated and feared for literally just wanting the best for yourself. Hated and feared for not wanting to hide what you KNOW you are.
When i was 14, i remember trying to detransition for a terrible reason. It was genuinely the most depressing time of my life. I was suicidal, numb, i stood in the mirror everyday putting on makeup and asking myself
"Does this make me look like a cis woman?"
It never felt natural because it never was natural. I would rather die than have to go through that again, and I'm terrified everyday that im going to wake up one day and have to live like that again, that my friends are going to have to live like that, that strangers who just want to live their best life are going to live through that.
Please, I'm begging you, help the trans people around you, talk to them, educate yourself, and educate others. And most of all, never stay silent when you know what's happening to us, or anyone, when you are silent you're complicint in our persecution.
