Veritas Ratio was not a very emotional man to the crowd's eye. The average onlooker with no real ties to the scholar would dismiss him as a prideful man who views himself galaxies above others due to his intelligence.

Veritas Ratio was not a rash man by any means. He often turns to the more calm and logical manner of solving his problems, scoffing at the face of idiocy of his peers.

Veritas Ratio didn't know when he began to feel this way. Perhaps it was in the little ways they manage to wriggle themselves into his schedule. Or maybe it was the irrational moment of finding solace in his.. coworker. During a rather embrassing overstimulated breakdown of his.

Veritas Ratio noticed the way that he— almost instantaneously— relaxes in their presence. Be it simply them lounging around doing Nous knows what in his office as he grades papers; to them accompanying him on his scheduled lunches and early morning jogs.

It wasn't long until they, utterly and irreversibly, wormed their way into his daily routine; falling into subconscious tandem to one another as they go about their usual tasks. "Ah," one might think, "does this not contradict the image of the esteemed scholar"

Perhaps.

Which is exactly why the 'cruel' professor prefers to show his affections within his latibule, where the man can feel most at home with his dearest.

Franziska Von Karma

When she heard you’d be charged for murder and shes your prosecutor, she was livid.

She couldn’t really do anything about it since she was in the courtroom, so she made so much use of her whip that day.

But would she sacrifice her perfect record for you?

No.

She would continuously give your defense attorney the hardest time of their life, and you’re sitting there, so hurt.

You weren’t even sure if she was using false evidence against you or not, but you knew you were innocent.

It was evidence for the actual m3rderer, according to the witness

If she knew you, she’d probably think you were too.

But as she talked to the witness, she was just like:

“[Reader] really did it? They wouldn’t…”

But she had to say everything the witness told her.

You wouldn’t know, but as she spoke, she felt so hurt too, falsely convicting you.

She just had a gut feeling you didn’t do it, but she had to believe you did.

In the end, you got sent to prison, and she’d constantly regret her decision the whole time you were in there.

The whole time you were, that’s when she realized how much she needed you with her.

She thought she could get over you, but she was wrong.

So wrong.

When you got out, she couldn’t even look you in the eye.

Sure, she has a perfect record, but at what cost?

Your relationship? Hurting the one she loves the most?

Maybe, and she has to deal with it for the rest of her life.

Miles Edgeworth

Okay.

If Franziska was livid, he’s even more livid. (whats the word for that I lowk forgot)

Anyway, as good of a prosecutor as he is, this is his s/o we’re talking about.

His evidence is as always amazing, but he will remove a thing or two, just to give your defense attorney a loophole.

It’s Wright. Your defense attorney’s Wright.

Unlike Franziska, he would definitely sacrifice his record for you.

You are far more important than that.

He knew you would never commit the murder

You obviously did not.

And once you got the “not guilty” verdict, he was so relieved.

It wasn’t anywhere near visible, but he was.

After your trial, you didn’t really talk to him much.

He had to initiate everything for a while.

You understood that it was his job, but you couldn’t help but feel a little bit hurt.

However, once he told you he removed a few tidbits in his evidence, that changed a few things.

He knew you couldn’t have committed the murder.

And that just shows how much he cares for you <3

Barok Van Zieks

As calm as he usually is, inside, he wasn’t calm at all.

When he heard you were accused of m3rder, it was getting hard to keep calm.

Like Edgeworth, he would try to give your defense attorney a few loopholes by removing some information just to keep you safe.

His record may be not as perfect as the first two (cough cough, franziska),

But if he had one, he would for sure sacrifice it for you.

isn’t that sweet!

i promise he has no angst

With all the loopholes and everything, you’d get a not guilty verdict.

And he was sure of it.

When your trial was over, you could tell he definitely gave a few major loopholes for your defense attorney.

Which you were so grateful for!! especially since you didn’t commit the m3rder and were completely innocent

Anyway, he did feel bad that he was your prosecutor because if you went to prison, it was because of him.

And he wouldn’t be able to live with the guilt he’d have for getting you falsely convicted.

Give him a bunch of cuddles because this man needs it after your trial.

He’s just as traumatized as you were (lol).

Klavier Gavin

Okay I feel like everyone I’m writing for is lowk gonna be mad when they see you as the defendant but I’m putting it in here anyway!

Like Barok, yes, he would be calm, but he would make a few comments here and there.

If the two would give loopholes, he would make it completely obvious you didn’t do it.

I just know he would leave out major details just to make sure you wouldn’t go to prison.

It honestly looks laughable

It didn’t really look too bad on him, but if you looked closely, it would look quite obvious.

When your trial was over, he’d constantly apologize to you over and over again.

Both words and actions.

He’d even make you an entire song if he had to!

Even to someone who’s job has no relation to law at all, you saw the major details he left.

To you, it was so cute how much he was trying to protect you.

This man cares about the truth, and both of you know that you didn’t do it.

He wouldn’t put you in prison for something you didn’t do.

I don’t think he’d even put you in prison at all…

i keep seeing people say "omg Percy and Annabeth are Odysseus and Penelope!!!" and i wholeheartedly agree, but then they shoot themselves in the foot saying Percy is Odysseus and Annabeth is Penelope

I say this with absolutely no disrespect, but what the fuck are you talking about???

Which one of them, Percy or Annabeth, has the fatal flaw hubris, which is the exact reason Odysseus was so fucked (he pride led him to reveal is name to Polyphemus)? Which one of them, Percy or Annabeth, plans for every fight THOROUGHLY and CAREFULLY (I know very well that Percy is battle strategic, but let's be honest, it's a 50/50 chance he'll have a thorough plan that doesn't have a large chunk of impulsiveness and vibes)? Which one of them, Percy or Annabeth, is the literal DAUGHTER of Odysseus's patron and mentor?

We all know Percy would go ape shit if anyone hurt Annabeth, but who did we see ready to fight three random people because they didn't know where her missing boyfriend was? Who did we actually see go ape shit because she couldn't find her boyfriend? Who fell from first-ish glance?

On the other hand, who has the more "fight first, question later" mindset (which, for someone who hates Ares and tolerates Mars, he has a very Spartan like disposition)? Who likes to piss people off to get their attention (granted, that's both a Odysseus and Penelope thing, but I'm referring specifically to Percy sitting on his dad's throne compared to Penelope's "if your not my husband, move the immovable bed rq")?

If Percy and Annabeth are indeed Penelope and Odysseus reincarnations (which i do believe they are lol), Percy is so Penelope and Annabeth is Odysseus.

when i say percy is one of the only people in the world who will stand up to annabeth or call her wrong, i do NOT mean she’s a horrible person and he calls her out for being one. allow me to write a long incorrect quote scene to show you what i actually mean:

*in some battle, post-heroes of olympus*

annabeth, fiercely in control and leaning over a large map: okay, here’s what’s gonna happen, everyone. we are going to evenly distribute our forces and deploy them in successive waves. we must avoid further division to ensure that each wave remains strong and concentrated on the central target. we are going to systematically weaken their core. once their primary fleet becomes depleted, we will expand our focus to engage secondary targets. we will defeat brute force by gradually eroding their strength over the course of several hours. anyone got a problem with that plan?

everyone in the strategy tent, including the smartest children of mars and athena:

annabeth, pinching the bridge of her nose: percy, you’re talking about a full frontal assault on their strongest point. that’s reckless. we’ll be outnumbered and overwhelmed.

percy, stepping closer to the map and pointing to the terrain: not if we use their terrain, which i personally know. if we concentrate our forces here and here, we can create the illusion of a weaker center. they’re crazy strong, but much more arrogant than you’re assuming. so knowing them, they’ll all focus on our main assault, assume they have us outnumbered, and put all their energy into trying to punch through. but if we’ve got our best fighters hidden in the valleys, instead of holding back, we can hit them from both sides once they commit

annabeth, her brow furrowing as she considers percy’s plan: we’d be baiting them into a trap. they’d think they’re winning, but the second they overextend, we surround them. they won’t see it coming because of the way their ranks are arranged.

annabeth: it’s based off the assumption of their own tactical shortcomings, but… it’s brilliant. come here and show me all the pathways, and i’ll plan for the side attacks. do you have any advice there?
