Whole-heartedly BEGGING writers to unlearn everything schools taught you about how long a paragraph is. If theres a new subject, INCLUDING ACTIONS, theres a new paragraph. A paragraph can be a single word too btw stop making things unreadable
list of (HIGHLY ETHICAL) USA military jobs where you don’t have to kill anyone:
Public Affairs. Have you ever wanted to make literal government propaganda? Well now you get to.
Emotional Support Animal Handler. The emotional support animal in question is a mutt that one of your Battle Buddies “rescued” from Afghanistan. He named the dog “Kunduz Hospital Airstrike”
Depleted Uranium Munitions Handler
Recruiter Who Specifically Targets Teenagers
Priest Who Tries To Convince Murderers That They Aren’t Going To Hell
Guy who brings Hot Pockets™ to drone operators and fruitlessly discourages them from using the term “Bug Splat”
Guy who keeps the buildings full of munitions from catching on fire. (It’s really really important that those munitions dont explode until they impact an apartment block in the global south)
Guy who stands on the deck of Coast Guard vessels and hollers threats at migrants in the worst Spanish you’ve ever heard
Guy who maintains and repairs multimillion dollar murder machines
Guy Who Trains Guys To Kill Without Hesitation or Remorse
Two or three years ago, I wrote up a "creepypasta" that was a collection of short anecdotes about someone's "monster" hunting job, where I tried to really push the "lifeforms" into territory I've never seen before.
I posted it experimentally to r/nosleep, where it got an enthusiastic response and many many upvotes! Until the mods took it down!! Because apparently they don't accept stories that are like lists of little vignettes anymore.
I eventually wrote a spinoff story they did accept, but now I've been rewriting and expanding the original short entries to put up as a series.
This is the first one, an in-character blog post about what the "monster" "hunting" organization officially calls the Class IV Transmutative Plasmodiform.
But that's not what the employees call it.
On October 7th, my family and I were subjected to an Israeli airstrike that completely destroyed our home. We miraculously survived the attack and fled to Al-Shifa Hospital, thinking it would be safer. However, this place was also in bombed, forcing us to escape once again. The hearts of my nieces and nephews, Nasser, Jana, Mohammed, and Hind, were filled with fear and terror. We struggled to pull them out from under the rubble amidst their screams and cries.
Our lives have turned into a living hell, surrounded by fire and phosphorus everywhere, as if we are trapped in a nightmare from which we cannot wake up. I developed a severe sensitivity to the smoke and phosphorus, and I began to suffer from respiratory issues. To this day, I continue to struggle with the effects of phosphorus exposure, and I have not found any treatment to alleviate my condition, which worsens day by day.
After fleeing to southern Gaza, we now live in a very small tent. We have no home, no food, and we are not living a humane life with even the minimum necessities. Our means of livelihood have been cut off, as my father's company was completely destroyed, with the machinery burned and the goods and vehicles turned to ashes.
I am Iyad, and my dream was to continue my university studies, but my university was destroyed, and my dream ended there. I have always aspired to study accounting and become an accountant.
I appeal to anyone with a sense of humanity to help me and my family escape to a safe place. I need assistance in treating my sensitivity and respiratory issues, as well as support to continue my education and fulfill my dream. I need travel abroad, receive medical treatment, and resume my studies.
Thank you to everyone who helps me and my family to find safety.💖🌼
hey reminder that connecting humanity is extremely low on esims rn and desperately needs esim donations and also that there are a lot of cool things you can get in exchange for a donation
I schedule 30 blog posts daily to reblog for the campaign to rebuild my home, but unfortunately there is no result as the goal is still far away

Someone told me that people only care about donating food. He doesn't know that a house is a million times more important to us than food. He doesn't know how much effort we put into building our houses. He doesn't know our memories. He doesn't know where I got the money for the kitchen, the paint, the doors. Food isn't everything, anyway we've been in famine for 10 months and no one cares, so building a house after the war is more important.
