Pele’s Lava in Kilauea Caldera creates a pocket of clear sky with the heat she uses to push clouds and moisture that are covering the entire island right now, out of the way for a beautiful View of the Stars 🌌🌋 Ohia Lehia Blossoms like the one pictured Bloom throughout the Islands and In the Park at this time of the year. I’m thankful I had the chance to experience the stars in the rainstorms we have experienced on our island this last month. Hula in the Moonlight with Maunakea and Waimea town 💃🏾🌃 I find it silly to write down, but I’m always looking for profound “signs” in nature that I use to decide my biggest life choices. I will ask a question to the earth and sky and all it’s the life it holds, this is the closest I come to a church, and I wait for its answer, which I interpret based on the way I feel in the moment. I have always considered the Honu my Aumakua, for those of you who know me, you know that the Hawaiian Tribal on my back represents a Honu shell.. to shield me from harm, to protect my thoughts, and to keep my energy safe. Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles to me, are one of the most majestic, peaceful, seemingly carefree, and beautiful animals in the islands and I am so thankful to be alive with them. Be like a Honu and be steadfast, strong, and wise. The first story most of us heard about a turtle as Keiki may have been "the Honu and the Mongoose" where they race and the Honu wins because of its steadfast determination to keep going and never give up. Sunrise from a 100 ft. Tall Ironwood Tree.🌲 Holding on with 1 hand after scaling it with my giant, expensive, fragile Camera. The wide angle makes it look low to the ground, but I had to get atleast 75 for a clearing in the branches. Stoked to watch the sunrise from the unique vantage. Selfie Sunday, because why the fuck not? Why should I show the places i love so much to random people that will go there and ruin them? There is no value in this. My photos are for memories, so that when im old i can look back and smile at all the memories they give me. I thought if i took pictures i would become a professional photographer and make a living out of it one day, what a fuckin dream 😂 everyone takes good photos, my photos arent special and im tired of wasting time taking them when i can just snap a shitty one for the memory and keep Living!!
