i get that it may be a joke, but ppl who genuinely believe or act like vi became a cage fighter and engaged in such a terrible, self-destructive lifestyle for months was ONLY bc of/over caitlyn kind of annoys me. 😭

like… let’s not forget that vi’s entire life has been full of trauma after trauma after trauma. caitlyn hurting her like that was really only the last little push she needed before everything completely fell apart bc she wasn’t holding it together as well as she often acts like she is. vi does this fairly often— she’s already done it all of S1.

and didn’t the writers themselves say that they wanted to capture vi when she no longer has anyone to protect, or smth like that? and for vi, not having anyone to protect means not having anyone to love, and no one to love her in return.

vi’s entire identity is fueled by her having ppl in her life to love, to protect, to fight for. if she can’t do that, then in her mind, she has nothing and she IS nothing, and there’s no longer any real point in anything (it’s called depression and really bad coping mechanisms).

she might as just well waste away aimlessly and fight until she dies, and don’t even get me started on the fact that vi is… sorta kinda somewhat suicidal. 😭

it’s more than just, “no caitlyn”, it’s literally “nobody”.

One of my biggest head cannons is that the newsies believe in pinky promises. Like, they would fully believe in the power of the pinky, and if somebody broke that promise… it would be like the Jack scabbing treatment. Thoughts??

I first saw Livesies and din’t quite get Javey/Javid, I liked it obviously and I definitely shipped it, but with livesies sometimes it felt bland yk (weirdly enough- fully onboard with Sprace when they don’t even interact in the musical, but I think that was due to fanart)

But when I watched the 92’ movie…

They are so fucking gay is not even funny; there is not a single moment I would believe any of them are straight. Every single interaction David and Jack looks like they are going to make out afterwards- They are so touchy with each other after literally knowing each other for less than 24 hours.

Someone already said it but the only reason Jack ended up with Sarah is because it’s the closest he can get to kissing David

I posted this on my Twitter, but I thought I'd share it here, too! I isolated the audio from Charles' death scene to answer a commonly debated headcanon in fandom: did Charles go by something else when he was alive?

Well, at least in this video, I can confirm that all the "Friends" who killed him call him Charlie. 😭

I reckon that is what his peers, teachers, and, even his abusive father likely referred to him as... Charlie Rowland. Makes sense for a teenage boy in the 80s; particularly a sporty, alternative, charismatic boy like Charles who hung around "lad-types."

It's no wonder he flinched when Brad/Hunter called him Charlie Boy. This show really doesn't miss a single detail. It's brilliant and intentional in every single thing it does.

FUCK it deserves a season 2! It's so well-written and in its first season. *Chef's kiss* from beginning to end.
