I've been doing more testing. This is the UC Starter Pack with the Legacy Graphic Rules on Windows 10.

This is a heavily decorated lot. View distance set on Extra Large and Fade Distance Off

I summoned 50 sims and pressed play. I switched between floors and turned lights on and off.

I was NEVER able to do this previously on windows. This lot has been notoriously difficult, I avoided throwing parties because I would get pink flashing so quickly.

The new graphic rules file may be worth it?

Another Update: This time I only copied over the Downloads and Hoods folder. It was more stable and I was able to load in about 55 sims into the lot before it started pink flashing.

INTERESTINGLY: When I exited into the hood and loaded up another lot the pink flashing was completely gone.

Generating thumbnails seems a lot quicker too.

This happened in my heavily modded game (14,7gb) with the new legacy edition.

I summoned around 25 sims until the pink flashing started.

Safe to say it is not fixed AT ALL

Update: I instaled dxvk and I was able to summon 60 Sims on the same lot with the same folder.

Dxvk runs very well for me, too. I think it just proved that either dxvk and/or linux are the way to go in the future.

I've been comparing setting and log files from legacy an UC. This is very interesting. Left is legacy, right is UC

So far the crash I had seemed to be caused by the missing Ikea pack.

Otherwise it runs.. surprisingly well?

I send a sim on several heavily decorated community lots in a row, all loaded with maximum view distance.

I changed seasons and weather several times, especially testing with snow, since I get a lot of issues with that usually and still no pink flashing.

A proper stress test is needed of course, but it seems alright.

So.. I bought the Legacy Pack with the plan to return it before 2 hours are up.

I loaded it up with my 15gb mods folder and it crashed pretty quickly on me. I doubt it's actually more stable

So I don’t have many super old pictures, because I didn’t post about my sims for a loooong time. And when I started I exclusively posted sims 3 stuff (on my fandom tumblr and a very old german sims forum that is now defunct I think), Anyways I could finde some old pictures

This is the oldest I can find. I took it around 2013 I think.

Why did I edit it like this?? It’s way too bright.

The style is very 2013/14 Tumblr haha. The galaxy print is a choice.

I started my simblr six years ago (focused on sims 2, i don’t remember what exactly caused me to go back to 2)

This is the first picture I posted on August 7th, 2014. I was so bad at editing.

Around 2017 I relly got into my style. This was my BACC hood that I played for about 2 years, before I lost my save.

Currently I play mostly for myself (still taking pictures tho, especially since I installed reshade) I don’t post much, but I still lurk and read a lot!

Made over a lot in Strangetown for the Singles Household.

Some Medieval Houses I build for my MCC hood. I don’t know if these are historically accurate, I know actually very little about that time period.

Thank you so much for helping me!! I tried to use the Lot Cleaner but the Lot is still inaccessible and the sim kept resetting when trying to buy a lot. I made another backup and deleted the lot, and now the sim works again!! I was able to buy another lot and go to it without any errors. I hope my hood isn’t corrupted now but the HoodChecker doesn’t show me any errors so maybe it’s fine.

Anyways, thank you so much for helping!!!

Help

Okay, I have no clue what I have done to get to this point. I think I accidentally deleted my sim on an owned community lot and then, instead of just going back to the neighborhood screen, i saved and now I can’t play the household anymore. The game wants me to load the community lot, but once I arrive I can’t enter live mode, just build and buy. My sim is still in the neighborhood, I was able to summon him with the simblender, but I can’t move him in with another family…

But I can’t send them home, because the community lot won’t load properly. Can anyone help me? I’m afraid I just broke my entire neighborhood :(
