I actually had a couple of requests to do a redesign of the winx club. I was originally only gonna do Tecna and Musa, but I ended up doing sketched for the rest of the girls too and with Fate coming out not that long ago I figured now’d be a good time to post them.

Netflix was sooo obsessed with making their Winx adaptation look like an edgy CW show they completely ignored how the bright colors of the original show could’ve only enhanced their darker plot!

Imagine: a bright, bubbly show—deceptively colorful. But there’s something dark lurking in the background, growing and seething until it overtakes everything and suddenly the world that we are so used to seeing bathed in light is gone, color palettes washed out and grungy. How jarring would that juxtaposition been? How unsettling would it be seeing these brightly colored characters huddled against the dark?
