my war with insecurities

since young i have always felt like a worthless piece of shit always at a constant war with my insecurities and somehow i let it get the better of me i know they say confidence is key that before you expect someone to like u u must first learn to love yourself but the problem is,it's not as easy as it seems when i read i guess u could call them 'motivational quotes' on tumblr or twitter i don't get motivated i just get weirded out and i'm sure it's NOT just me here's my life long confession i may seem carefree like i have my life together i'm sure everyone does on the outside of course but deep down we are a sweaty hot mess. ________________________________________ i suck at sports i suck at arts i suck at maths i suck at basically everything accomplishments in life?none. i am ugly a geek a nerd a loner at least that is what my brother calls me they ask why girls put on so many makeup i ask them why are u always calling them ugly then we don't spend 2 hours applying makeup just to bang fuckboys,dickheads or douchebags we don't redo our eyeliner till it's on point just so that d-bags would notice us and whistles over at us and we certainly don't do it because we 'enjoy the process' we do it because we feel a sense of accomplishment like we finally belong in society but the truth is with or without it we still belong. i know that. i swear i do. but that doesn't matter. because i still can't mutter up the courage to let others see me bare faced i can't bare the look on their faces when they're behold by this 'horrid sight' i'm ashamed of myself i'm not proud of being who i am they tell me i'm pretty they tell me i'm beautiful but that happiness just last for so long and u end up back in square one again at war. - j.y
