Actually going to post something here, woah. Fobea- (aspec orientation)
A term for those who have never experienced a form of attraction due to childhood trauma. For example, fobeasexual describes someone who doesn't experience sexual attraction, and never has, due to childhood trauma. Fobea- is an abbreviation of the phrase "forever been a(spec)" / fo-be-a. It's also a pun on phobia, where fear is a common aspect to trauma. Flags in order of appearance (left to right, top to bottom):
Fobeasexual, fobearomantic, fobearoace, fobeaplatonic, fobeaqueerplatonic, fobeanaesthetic, fobeasocial, fobeasensual, fobeanalterous, fobeanattractional. Similar terms + differences:
Caed- | Where one used to experience attraction but lost that ability due to trauma. Unlike caed-, fobea- individuals have never experienced attraction. Byuma- | Those who have experienced some kind of trauma during the ā€œawakeningā€ of their orientation. Due to this trauma, attraction is confusing to them. Unlike byuma-, fobea- individuals are inherently aspec. Flag meaning:
The black vertical bar on the left represents the "start" of one's orientation and how it was always aspec in the beginning.
The horizontal black line represents the ongoing nature of being indefinitely aspec.
The dark grey represents the varying degrees of being aspec.
The diagonal slants represent time and its forward movement.
The colour represents the corresponding orientation (i.e. purple = asexual, green = aromantic, etc.).
"How can you tell that you've never experienced attraction due to trauma? What if you're just aspec regardless of trauma?"
That is of course always a possibility, but my experiences with my afamilial orientation + trauma are so deeply intertwined that I feel they cannot be separated. I wanted a short and easy way of conveying the depth of my afamilialness because for some reason people tend to doubt me when I tell them I don't experience familial attraction. Tacking on trauma to the end of it usually helps to shut them up though. :D Feedback always welcome.

Elale [long coining post]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Elale (pronounced 'ell-ayle' OR 'ell-ah-lee') is a gender on the outherine spectrum with qualities such as creativity, honesty, passion, curiosity, and integrity.
[Image description: Three flags.
The first flag which has four stripes, in order from top to bottom: denim blue, summer sky blue, dark cerulean, black rock
The second flag which has five stripes, in order from top to bottom: denim blue, summer sky blue, pure white, dark cerulean, black rock
The third flag which has seven stripes, in order from top to bottom: denim blue, darker denim blue, summer sky blue, pure white, dark cerulean, cyprus, black pearl
End description.]
If.. feminine = skirts, makeup, hearts.. masculine = ties, facial hair, tools... elaline = hair accessories, sparkles, fluffiness.
Someone doesn't need to be all those qualities to be elaline - like with any gender. Like, not all feminine folks are going to be caring, nurturing, gentle, etc.
Not a xenogender, tags for reach.
Someone could also be demielale if they're partially elale.
Elale terms:
Man/Woman: Elale
Men/Women: Elali
Masculine/Feminine: Elaline
Boy/Girl: Elil
Miaspec/Fiaspec: Eliaspec
Mingender/Fingender: Elingender

The LGBTA Wiki has a PR problem.
I intend to solve that.
Scrolling through tags like "lgbta wiki" on here makes me realise quite how much of a problem the wiki has with PR. This is a problem that I was, for far too long, blissfully unaware of. It's now a problem I wish to solve, and in the process try and make the wiki as best as it can be.
I've been seeing your rants about the wiki, including the ones about the sourcing policy Jeb announced a while back and the truly awful crediting situation for a lot of terms. I hear you. I see you and I hear you. And I want to include more voices in the wiki's future. That's why I'm bringing the LGBTA wiki back to Tumblr, so let me introduce myself.
Hi, I'm Virgil. I'm pan, ace, genderfluid, and probably a bit more. I really don't have the energy to figure that out every often, lol. I like playing games, exploring the depths of the interwebs and every now and then writing code.
I've been helping run the wiki for probably around a year and a half by now, and so far have very little intention of slowing down. It's been a hell of a time, with a community I've grown to love even more than when I started out. Who woulda thunk that was possible, lol.
Anyways. Good to meet you, I guess. I'd appreciate if anyone who gets lucky enough to see this would drop a few cool people to follow on here, because I haven't exactly used this platform much up until now.
With that said, if you wanna talk about anything, be it related to the wiki, queer issues, or even something else like the football scores or the sheer state of your local mcdonald's, gimme a holler. I'm down to chat.

Heyo! Iā€™m Jeb, owner of the LGBTA Wiki. Iā€™m a little confused by this post. The several links above direct to Genderpedia, but then you cite the LGBTA Wiki staff members. I do not operate Genderpedia, and I donā€™t believe any of our current moderators do either. Iā€™m happy to take criticism, but am confused by our relation to the other wiki.
The LGBTA Wiki is Backsliding
This is going to be a fun one. I know Iā€™ve been gone for a few months and this is definitely a hell of a come back, but thereā€™s a reason for it.Ā
I was really hoping that with the changing mod team and maybe the platform move, things would get better. And for a while, they did. There were still some pages that had some incorrect definitions listed and multiple pages with deleted, un-archived resources, but that was just residual from old problems. Then it seemed like something changed.
In the past month or so, thereā€™s been an uptick in redefinitions and ones that are not getting fixed. This issue has gotten so bad that two Wiki users who, as far as I can tell, have not coined a single term both have list pages on Genderpedia for terms theyā€™ve redefined.Ā
These users (Xinaphoria and Xeno Bemo) have collectively redefined over twenty terms. The redefintions range from relatively minor, though still notable things - like changing theĀ ā€œhappy aspects of dreamcoreā€ in the Kidreamcoric definition to read ā€œjoyful aspects of dreamcoreā€ - to far more egregious issues, like what was done to Creepcakic and every term that Xeno Bemo has touched. These changes are actively going unchanged by both mods and other users.
This whole thing can, in part, be put down to a lack of moderation. Regardless of how much change it seems that the new mods are trying to make, I doubt that there are enough to mod a Wiki of this size. Many users of this Wiki have made it clear that they have to be watched at all times to keep the Wiki reliable and the team of five running this Wiki is not a big enough number to do that.
I really think this Wiki needs stronger moderation. Itā€™s clear that they are, to an extent, capable of positive change, seeing as they kept it up for months, but that small of a mod team canā€™t moderate a Wiki thatā€™s as big as they are and that gets as much traffic as they do.
Iā€™m not really sure what the major point of this post is, other than that I would advise anyone whoā€™s started being more trusting of the LGBTA Wiki should start checking sources and be wary of everything said there.
Thank you for reading. Letā€™s hope things look back up.
