no I haven't heard about the blue nightshade tell me about the blue nightshade theory

YES okay so i'm not sure who originally came up with the blue nightshade theory but i first saw it through this tweet and it led to quite a few people brainstorming as well as my own searching in totk. I'll keep everything as vague as i can so VERY minimal spoilers just in case also screenshots not mine as getting mine off my switch will take too long:

the premise is that the Silent Princess is very clearly Zelda's flower. if you actually visit locations in game that are strongly associated with her, there will be Silent Princesses there, and of course when she returned at the end of BotW, they began to grow more frequently. NOW this led people to noticing that wherever there were Silent Princesses, you could always spot a Blue Nightshade nearby.

Notice right at the back, there's a blue nightshade!

Here's a huge patch of Silent Princesses and of course, Blue Nightshades too!

And if you go into the Korok Forest, you'll find Blue Nightshades as well as Silent Princesses, which are there both in BotW as well as TotK

Its hard to spot in the above screenshot, but in the back there's a blue nightshade! both flowers are easiest to spot at night as they both glow.

there's one last side quest that makes it like,,, super obvious lol which you receive from a korok in the korok forest. if you want to see the image, i'll put it ;ast to hide the spoiler! but before i do that, i'll add my own theory on top of this:

the description of blue nightshades is that they grow in the quieter areas of Hyrule - quiet like our silent hero. and they're blue, just like his iconic tunic. in botw, there was a quest where at the heart shaped pond, a blue nightshade is used to help two npcs confess their feelings for each other - as the guy decides he would give it to his true love.

in botw a married couple are looking for silent princesses due to the legend that if you swear your love on one, you will live a happy life with your partner.

thus, both flowers, which appear together often, are both used to represent true love (zelink true love lets GOOO).

this is a hidden room you can help a korok put together! heart shaped arches over a bed surrounded by blue nightshades and silent princesses <3
