As the Fourth of July, United States of America's Independence Day, looms, I must confess I have a tradition on this sacred day to watch the most patriotic movie that has ever been conceived: Independence Day.

And Yes. I only watch the movie because of Jeff Goldblum, Will Smith, Bill Pullman, and Lucinda from Ella Enchanted.

EDIT: I have come to realize that Independence Day, although aptly named, isn't as American as I once believed. Because the central plot is a race of people WINNING against an INVADING race who is GENOCIDING them to STEAL their resources. Do with that what you will.

Things I Did Not Know Were Controversial Until Christmas Dinner

Everyone deserves FREE public Healthcare. You only have one life on this world, why would you have to choose between eating and healthcare?

Healthcare should not be FOR PROFIT. The only industry that profits from LIVES and DEATHS is WAR.

Everyone should have access to affordable higher education. Learning is our only way to combat oppression.

Everyone should be able to control what they do to their bodies. Their bodies should not be regulated and procedures should not be signed off on another entity. Minors are the only exception as they may be too young to understand a specific procedure so a DISCUSSION would be beneficial between parent/guardian, the minor, and the doctor.

The Death Penalty is wrong. People are wrongly committed because of the corrupt justice system that sides with who has more money and connections.

Physical punishment is wrong. A child does not need to be hit to learn when something is wrong.

VACCINATE THE CHILDREN! It is NOT herd immunity. You can get sick with disease while vaccinated, but your risk of getting it and ot being severe is LOWERED.

FREE SCHOOL LUNCH. It is mandatory for children to go to public school for EIGHT hours for free. Why should they pay for lunch when they go for 8 hours for free and it's mandatory?

ANYTHING OTHER THAN A DEFINITIVE YES IS A NO!

ABORTION BANS ARE IMMORAL. Why punish people who have medical issues with their lives at risk and force birth (and don't care about a child once it's here) so the elite can continue stuffing pockets full of green?

GUNS SHOULD BE MORE REGULATED. An AR-15 (weapon designed for quick massive death) and a shotgun (for hunting) are two different things.

WE ARE A COUNTRY BUILT ON IMMIGRATION. Why punish thought that did the same as our ancestors? EDIT: the difference between what the immigrants are doing now and what the European settlers did in the 15 and 1600s is the immigrants are TRYING to become one with the country and is an active part in the culture here while the settlers committed GENOCIDE and FORCED REMOVALS OF THEIR LAND.

PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT TO EXIST EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT LIKE YOU! Why punish people for being different than you?

TAX THE ULTRA WEALTHY! Anything over a billion dollars should be taxed. If the elite benefit from scamming the working class, they should be punished by taking away their hoard of wealth.

EVERYONE DESERVES THE RIGHT TO THE COST OF LIVING! Minimum wage was designed to be the cost of living. Why isn't it anymore?

EVERYONE DESERVES SHELTER! You cannot address the issues of poverty without providing housing. Providing housing reduces stress.

I am going to add to this in light of recent events. In Jurassic Park, the owner of the park, John Hammond, went to collect two palentologist to show his park to. When he asked what they thought, the two experts told him it was a bad idea and the only person who liked the idea was the Insurance Guy who was constantly asking if they could up the price. Hammond did not like the response he got from his three guests. It's definitely telling that the rich will create ideas and ask expert's opinion on it and not like the answer when it is opposite of what they want.

I know most people believe the Jurassic Park franchise is about the dangers, horrors, and repurcussions of genetic cloning and humans who wish to play god. But I don't think that's just it. I believe its about businesses (specifically amusement and theme parks) who don't care about their customers only about their inbound money from these customers. And I think that is most prevalent in Jurassic World where Pratt's Owen Grady is telling Howard's Claire Dearing to evacuate the park because the Indominus Rex got loose from its enclosure. And she replies with, "We'll never reopen." I think she only cares more about running the park and getting money from all these tourist who could collectively die by the park's demon of a dinosaur. It was only when her nephews got into the crossfire did she care that the Indominus Rex was loose.

This is an hourly reminder that on March 4th, 2024, the Supreme Court of the United States ordered donald j. trump to have 87 Democrats in both houses of Congress remove his insurrectionist disqualification from ever holding any federal office again. He failed to do so prior to November 5, 2024.

What that means is that between now and December 17th, 2024, donald j. trump has no choice but to go to Congress and have 70 Democrats in the House of Representatives and 17 Democrats in the Senate vote to remove his insurrectionist disqualification, as he was ordered to do by SCOTUS on March 4th, 2024, or he's not legally the President Elect and cannot be inaugurated, sworn in, or hold federal office again on January 20, 2025. The clock is ticking!

A couple of updates from this morning. If anyone is interested in fighting another trump presidency, contact every Democrat representative in the House of Representatives and the Senate and remind them that donald j. trump cannot be inaugurated, sworn in, and be the 47th President of the United States on January 20, 2025 unless 70 Democrats in the House of Representatives and 17 Democrats in the Senate vote to remove his insurrectionist disqualification before December 17, 2024. Many of them have online contact forms. You may have to enter an address near their local office in their district for the contact form to go through, but I know they're going to want to be reminded of this by as many people as possible in order to save humanity and American democracy from donald trump. Plus, Kamala Harris can be contacted via the White House Vice President contact form; and as a presidential candidate and the President of the Senate, she and President Biden can do a lot to enforce donald trump having to have his insurrectionist disqualification removed by a two-thirds vote of the House of Representatives and the Senate before December 17, 2024.

Velma Dinkley is not the only one that is smart in Mystery Incorporated.

Let's start with everyone's favorite redhead: Daphne Blake. She's probably the only one with street smarts, common sense, and knowledge of the fashion and cosmetology industry, along with being the daughter of two business mogel. She's also smart in the fact that in Scooby Doo 2 Monsters Unleashed (the only good live action scooby doo movie in my opinion) she got the gang out of the hamster ball with makeup equipment. Do you think Velma would have thought of that? NO! Daphne is also people smart in the fact she can read people's body language. Which means she's probably smart in psychology and sociology and would excell there if she took a class on them. Was it Velma that figured out the sheriff has feelings to Mayor Nettles? Was it Fred who realized Sherrif and Mayor were in a relationship? No. Daphne was. Because she was able to pick up social clues that the others didn't.

Fred Jones, the gang's leader. If you think about it, he comes up with the traps. He figures out how to make them work while Velma ponders over the clues. There is PHYSICS involved with this. Because mass is a factor in most of the stuff he does. And all of physics has a point where mass is a factor. Because if his calculations are wrong in where to put this thing or that thing or how deep to dig the hole, he could potential hurt the masked villain. No joke. Also the robotics and mechanics involved with some of this stuff?

Shaggy and Scooby may not be booksmart or street smart, but I feel like they're smart in something I feel is just as important: Pop Culture. Why? Because in Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated they knew Vincent Van Ghoul like the back of their hand. They're also probably smart in other places of Pop Culture. Because I'm pretty sure that no one knew who the special guest stars of Scooby Doo Movies were. But they were. They were knowkedgable in that regard. Also with how much they eat, they're probably smart and knowledgable in nutrition and culinary arts. I mean in episodes across most series and movies, who is the one cooking or doing most of it? Shaggy and Scooby. They make sure that Daphne, Velma, and Fred get the right amount of vitamins, minerals, vegetables, fruits, proteins, dairy, etc etc every single meal.

Now Velma is smart. All of you are right in that regard, but she's smart in that she's more logical and reasoning than the rest of the group and she's knowledge about a broad range of subjects. She's a fan of mystery novels and authors and I believe theres a few mysteries (if not most of them) in which she explains and researches the history of it. I personally believe she's most knowledgable about history, classics, and music. But she's knowledgable about some if not a lot of stuff across a broad range of subjects.

You know how I want the fourth movie to the MCU's Spider-Man series to go? Peter ends up at MIT and meets Harley Keener who tries to befriend and help Peter in restoring his former relationships with his friends. The villain will be Scorpion with secondary villain Prowler. This will include introducing Miles Morales. The ending scene will be Peter feeling another Spiderperson like him and seeing Miles. The mid-credits scene will be Peter introducing himself to Miles Morales. The end-credits scene will be a part of venom that finds Flash Thompson. I think it shall be called Spider-Man Welcome Home.
