Have you ever seen a post so egregious it makes you question your faith in humanity? Tell me why I just saw someone go on an absolute RANT about how AI is ruining gooning, of all things. I understand the concept behind it, that being the loss of human elements in fanfics and art, but there has to be a better way for bro to word that. I hate AI ruining art as much as the next guy, but the discussion should not be presented with gooning as the main focus.

What do you think about people moving from TikTok to “Xiao Hong Shu”, I think it’s called?

Never heard of it tbh. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s banned too— the bill doesn’t just specifically ban TikTok. It bans any app owned and maintained by foreign people that legislators don’t like. So if they find out about Xio Hong Shu or whatever it’s called and it gives them a funny look or trips over their shoe, they’ll ban it in a heartbeat. I’d highly recommend watching this video on the topic— it’s pretty interesting (and damning). As for that specific app, without doing one iota of research I’ll just say I’m fine with it. Say what you will about TikTok but it gave so many people an outlet for their feelings, for thoughts, for education. It was a net positive imho.
