When [Villain] had switched sides, turned traitor as other villains would say, they didn’t expect it to be a walk in the park. They expected scorn, mistrust, ridicule.

They certainly did not expect to be fought over.

They didn’t expect the heroes to bicker about who [Villain] was helping with what. Or who got to spar with them first. Honestly, all the attention made their head spin as they constantly waited for the other shoe to drop. So they went to the only person they knew who could make sense of this for them.

“[Hero].” [Villain] said as they slid into the seat next to them. [Hero] merely hummed in response to their name, continuing to munch on their snack.

“I want to preface this with I’m not annoyed or unwanting of the attention, but… why is everyone so eager to work with me? I was a villain not two weeks ago. I expected everyone to be more warry of me.”

[Hero] hummed in acknowledgment of their question as they continued to chew. Finally, [Hero] answered after swallowing.

“It’s ‘cause they think you’re hot.”

“I…” [Villain] trailed off as their face flushed, “…oh.”

[Hero] nodded and hummed as they took another bite.
