What I particularly love about that story you shared about Macke and Renner's friendship and the hospital visit, aside from the friendship itself, is that we would never have known if he didn't tell us, and that should say something to the 'pics or it didn't happen' crowd.

And I'm saying this across the board for all fandoms, not just this one.

The number of people who say 'these two aren't together', 'these two definitely broke up, when last have they been spotted', 'these two hardly spend time together', 'those guys aren't really friends'... simply because nobody took or shared pictures...it's astonishing. 'Fans' these days genuinely seem to think they can gauge the depth of people's relationships based on whether or not we've seen pics.

Believe it or not, most of people's real lives takes place offline, and most of the time they don't feel like sharing it with us.
