Neither President Trump nor President Biden is the best representative of conservative or liberal political thinking and abilities in America. Trump failed to answer most questions in the debate while eloquently spouting numerous lies. Biden attempted to answer most questions honestly but was handicapped by his speech. Unfortunately, neither candidate is the best representative of his political party. I think that both men should step aside. Nikki Haley for the republicans and John Fetterman for the democrats each would be more eloquent and certainly as capable as candidates for the presidency of the United States.

There are any number of books reciting the history of the Middle East, completely devoid of any such people as the Palestinians. In a nutshell, in the post Biblical and Roman times, from the 9th to the 20th centuries, along with the Jews there were Arabs living in the Holy Land. As Mark Twain observed late in that period in the 19th century, both the Jewish and Arab populations were scattered and sparse. The land itself for these latter centuries was part of the Ottoman Empire. The Arabs primarily were wanderers passing through from Arabia, Egypt and other areas. The Jews often were religious devotees who recreated small communities in Jerusalem and in Judea and Samaria. By the time that the 20th century arrived, Jews living in the Holy Land were referred to as Palestinians.
