Hi all 👋🏼 I’m going to Holland for 3.5 months and I leave on Tuesday so I’ll try to post about my trip there. I’m going to do an internship there for my riding and I cannot wait. It’s going to be an amazing opportunity yet also a lot of work, I can’t wait. Today I went to the shops to buy some warm jackets and sweatshirts etc because I cannot cope with cold 😂😂😂

I couldn’t sleep last night so I just consolidated all my new theory I learnt in maths into notes and flash cards. My teacher and I covered parabolas, hyperbolas and exponential graphs all in one hour so I was really wiped out by the end. Yet I’m really motivated about maths at the moment, so I’m happy to be doing lots of it.

I’ll never not reboot this when it comes onto my dashboard
a real ass guide to life
there’s a lot of shit on here about lighting candles and waking up early to see the sunset and if we are being hella honest, no one actually does that. u probably don’t own candles or if u do there in a closet and the only time you wake up early all year round is never. so here’s a guide to actual human beings.
-wake up when you need to. don’t wake up at 5 to “journal” and “meditate.” sleep is more important. if you have a class at 9, wake up at 8. it’s simple. - eat something. it doesn’t have to be avocado toast. just have a bagel or a bowl of cocoa puffs. - have ur meds if u take any - attempt to look nice. at least brush your hair and your teeth. but honestly no one cares how u dress. if you wanna dress like a stripper, then dress like a goddamn stripper. honestly no one cares. (but if ur in hs try to follow the dress code a little bit?) - wear makeup if u want, or if you don’t then don’t. - ur probably not gonna exercise or stretch. who cares. i dont. your friends don’t. if ur feeling up to it then go jog 4 miles, but if ur not then don’t. - actually try to have a plan of what ur doing for that day. attend ur classes, and do ur work. ur education is hella important. FUCKING DO IT. kill those grades, murder everyone else in that class, impress and surprise ur teacher, parents, and everyone else who thought u couldn’t do it - attempt to be social. make plans with friends and try to go. it can be lowkey and only like an hr. eat pizza or go to a bar. just have fun. - eat healthy. eat a hamburger when u really want a hamburger and eat a large pizza when u really want a large pizza but try ur hardest to eat healthyish. - watch ya shows. who doesn’t love some amazing netflix binges? watch it. do it. - actually read. books are honestly the best. at least try to pick up the first harry potter. - go to sleep before 2AM!!!!!!¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ sleep is hella important. - shower. you don’t need to buy expensive bath bombs or candles and have a fancy bath and coat ur skin in so much lotion that you are a walking wet rag, but try to smell somewhat pleasant. - do what u want. just make sure it’s legal. have sex, travel, learn how to code, be with ur family, have a family, marry someone nice, build an empire, be fierce, be strong, but most of all: be happy. you live once on this planet. live it to the fullest. and don’t let ANYONE bring you down. not a girl, not a guy, not a parent, or a so called friend. keep your standards high, and heels higher.

Studying
Ok so I was talking to my friend today about school and studying in particular, and I said ‘dude I actually love studying’ and he said that he didn’t even know how to study and asked if I could teach him. I taught him yet I don’t know how many other people need help so I thought it would be a good post that actually related to my blog theme 😂😂 so here is my method of studying. I will be doing it in the form of practical subjects (french, math), essay based subjects (history, geography and English) and memorizing content in general .
Practical:
1. I learn the theory. I write formulas, vocab, rules etc on flash cards and just go over and over them until I’ve learnt them.
2. I apply the theory, concept by concept. I find that so many people just learn the theory then go into test level questions. What you need to do is start with the basic concepts, in order to understand when to use them and to further memorize the theory.
3. Once you’ve perfected all the concepts, start working with combination questions, where they use a multitude of concepts. Try and keep it simple in the beginning and build up to the harder questions.
4. Past papers are your saving grace here. Do as many past papers as possible, as they better prepare you for the caliber required for the test/ exam.
If you have left it until the week before the exam/ day before the test, then steps 1-3 should get you a steady pass.
Essay based subjects:
1. Go through all essays you wrote for the subject matter. Highlight the key points and their main supporting evidence and put it into a table. This provides a base for your learning, and also helps you solidify your explainations and points and make sure you’re not wasting time on points that are not strong.
2. When you are studying the content, make a viewpoint of your own as you are going along. This will help you decide on points and explainations quicker later. It also helps solidify the knowledge in your brain as you are forming an opinion on it and trying to understand the knowledge. This makes your brain process and use the information you are taking in.
3. Try and find as the most common questions or forms of the question as possible on the subject matter and draw up a table for each question with the key points and explainations. For IGCSE geography, you have to include case specific detail so if you need to include that, then maybe make a note of it somewhere in your table. What I do is I make ‘cheat’ sheets for each question. I write the question at the top, I have the table with the points and explainations and then I have another section with any aditional notes on the essay question such as structure etc. I then try my best to memorize the cheat sheets. I only do this for exams as then there is the larger range of questions and more time to study. For these subjects, I normally start studying 2 months before the exam in order to have enough time for past papers.
4. Like I mentioned, do past papers. With these papers, it’s less about the exposure to questions and more about timing. I have a tendency to overwrite which means that I run out of time. In order to combat that, I do all my past papers in a time 15-30min shorter than the allotted time, in order to leave room for stress and mistakes.
• For English, specifically English lit, analyze the books/ poems/ plays yourself and deduce your own ideas instead of only using the teachers ideas. With English, if you can strongly support your argument, then you can get your marks. Furthermore, it allows you to portray a deeper understanding if you use the prescribed information for your studying as through analyzing the text, you are working with the ideas, meaning they stick in your brain. This means that when you are writing your final essay, you can be drawing on things you may not have picked up on before. However, because you didn’t study it, it will only be mentioned, not taking you away from the prescribed information.
General content:
1. I read the textbook with a pencil, highlighter and research device in hand. I make side notes, highlight important notes, add in information from the internet about things I don’t understand etc. I try and work with the text and fully understand it the first time around so that I can then just focus on learning the content. I also have post its or a piece of paper and write down concepts I don’t understand.
2. I research the concepts I don’t understand and work with the information until I do. I make sure I have a full understanding of the text that i am working with.
3. I make my first set of notes. This is normally very scruffy and has only rough diagrams. I learn best by repetition and this first set of notes is the basis. In these notes, I combine information from class with information from the textbook and the internet. These notes often have messes in them, like arrows connecting ideas, they’re always written in pencil, and often without a ruler. They’re boring with no colour, nothing.
4. I go through my rough notes with three highlighters: yellow for definitions, green for essential content and pink for diagrams to include.
5. I convert the notes into flash cards. I write out all definitions and simple, content only questions for the essential content and then the diagram with the labels behind, normally numbered.
6. Now is when I write my ‘pretty’ notes. These are the ones with colour, written in pen, with a ruler etc. these are the notes I would post on tumblr etc.
7. I use the flash cards, over and over and over again. I do them whenever I can, wherever I can. The more times I go through the content, the more confident I become.
• for sciences, make sure to do lots of past papers. They will often ask for the content in really funny ways, so try and get as much question mileage as possible.
• for English/ history, you can pass if you just know the basic outline and a bit of the content. You may get a low mark yet it will probably pass. For these subjects, often you are given something to work information out of like a source, or the subject is something you can make something logical up for. However, this can be helped if you pay attention in class and do homework etc because then you have already started working with the information and some of it will probably have stuck.
I hope this can help at least one person 😊😊 also, I’m so sorry for this long hiatus, I’ve been having a really rough time and I couldn’t muster the strength to do any social media. However, I am trying to get back together and this is the start. I’m going to be posting more text based posts, as I’m too forgetful to take photos when I’m studying so.... also, in 2 weeks, I will be going to holland for 3/4 months and so my posting will become scarce again yet I will try and keep up with posting once a week/ every two weeks ❤️
Love you all xxx

Lol ok so I reblogged this once, forgot to add a comment and now I’m reblogging again because I’m too lazy to go edit/ delete the other one so here is my comment 😂😂😂
This legit made me feel so much better because I’ve been really depressed recently and I’ve hardly gotten any of the things I need to do done yet I’ve made it through the past few weeks and I’m proud of myself for that, even though it is a small accomplishment. However, my family are pressuring me to get it together again and this post just reminded me that my mental health is not something I can control and if I cannot do something, then it’s ok and I mustn’t worry about it too much. So I’m proud of myself for getting through the past few weeks, and if anyone else feels the same, then well done to you too, good job 😊😊😊
Shoutout to the folks who didn’t get out of bed today, who didn’t make it to the shower, or brush their hair, or get the dishes done, who didn’t change out of their over-worn dirty clothes. Your value isn’t defined by your productivity and it’s ok if all you did today was make it to tomorrow.

10 random facts about me
1. Skew lines freak me out, to the point where if I’m drawing a line on a piece of folio nearly full of writing on it, I will scrap the paper and write it out again.
2. I love any genre of book as long as the writing is good quality and it draws me in. I have social anxiety so a lot of my social interaction comes from reading books and connecting with the characters which means it’s extremely important for the characters to be well developed so I can connect with them.
3. I’m both a book and a movie person. I love equally, all except for the harry potter movies because I feel they do not do draco or Hermione justice and they leave out some of my favourite scenes and urgh why?!?!?!?!
4. I have polaroids hanging in my room of all the important people in my life. Whenever im feeling down I always just look at my people and it makes me feel better.
5. I love writing poetry so much, because it helps me release all my negative emotions. I have yet to write a happy poem yet I’m working on that.
6. Im going to be painting my room the happiest yellow I can find to help my depression and hopefully cheer me up
7. I eternally suck at maths, I don’t know how I passed it last year, lol
8. My favourite smell of all time is vanilla, yet not a sweet vanilla, it must be a smooth, earthy vanilla.
9. I’m a sucker for chunky jewlery yet my style is more minimalistic and clean cut, so I don’t know how those go together.
10. I will only ever write in black ink, never blue. I concentrate better with the black ink, maybe because that’s the colour writing is on computers, in books and magazines and on documents.

Whats in my school bag
So I’m not in school anymore, yet I’ve figured out a formula of things a woman needs in her school bag and things that are helpful to have in your bag.
1. Obviously have pens and pencils, in a pencil bag. Only keep one or two black ones, a pencil and a highlighter. This makes sure that you cannot lend your stationary and then you don’t lose it. It also means you don’t get distracted by colour and stay focussed on the content of the lecture. The class is the time to take in info, after school time is the time to make pretty notes.
2. I like to keep one folio pad in my bag along with a 1 inch binder and then at the end of the week I sort the notes into their respective binders at home.
3. I keep a wash bag with the following in:
Hair ties
Feminine products
Tissues
Painkillers
Hand sanitizer
Mini hair brush
Lip ice
Hand cream
Vasaline
Plasters
Germolene
Body spray
Deodorant
4. A ruler because something I cannot stand is skew lines
5. Stapler with staples
6. Mini hole punch
7. My planner
8. Water bottle
9. A small snack for in class that doesn’t make any noise

what you can do when life gets too much
I am a person who has had a certain amount of loss and hardship in my life, and it means that I’m good at holding myself together enough to make it from one day to the next. I’m not asking for pity, I’m writing this post to try and help someone who just cannot cope with life at all. So here are the things I do to make sure I can make it another day when life gets too much.
1. I dedicate one hour a week to just wallow in the stress, depression and anxiety. I turn my phone on silent, take anything I can hurt myself with away and just feel all the emotions and deal with them. I cry, scream, whatever, I just release everything. It is so bad to hold onto everything in life, and you need to deal with it. After I’ve had my pity session, I drink a glass of water and then have a quick, hot shower. I also plan to do something after the session, like grab coffee or food. It makes sure that I don’t let my problems swallow me whole and keep me a prisoner of theirs forever.
2. I try and plan ahead, yet when life is too much, I go day by day. Before I go to bed, I decide what I need to do the next day and prepare for it. This makes sure that I don’t start thinking so far ahead that I have anxieties about things for days.
3. However, I also have important meetings and everything planned out on a wall calendar, so that I can plan what I have to do each day according to what is going on in the bigger picture of my life. For example, if I have a big presentation or something, instead of saying work on presentation, I break the big project up into smaller parts, smaller parts that my anxiety can cope with.
4. I also plan an exciting breakfast and a nice outfit, to give me something to get out of bed for. I believe that something good must happen every day, however life happens. Your car may break down or you might accidentally spill tea on your textbook, which are all things that you cannot control. Yet having a good breakfast and feeling confident in what you’re wearing are things that you can control.
5. Appreciate the small things. Life gets so busy, and you get so caught up in the whirlwind that is life, you stop appreciating the little beauties. This means stopping when you see a beautiful skyline or something you would normally photograph and instead of quickly photographing it for social media, keep it for yourself in your mind, not your phone. Stand for ten seconds and appreciate it, absorb it and marvel in the beauty in it. When we are toddlers we are curious and think every flower, every sunset, every tree is exceptional. Yet as we get older, we lose that sense of awe at the world. By bringing that sense of awe into our lives again, we can see good in times when you only see darkness.
If anybody needs someone to talk to or vent to, please message me and remember you are NEVER alone, you have always got someone to talk to.

I started studying Macbeth yesterday, it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite works from Shakespeare. I thought I would be able to figure out the maths for this year myself yet it just isn’t working out so I’m going to have to find a tutor to explain it to me 😂🙈. Hall of fame by the script is forever my anthem 💪🏻💪🏻

Healthy Habits
1. Wash your face with good quality products, or if you cannot afford expensive products then keep it all in the same range. That way you can get the most out of your products.
2. Go outside. Even if it’s for 2min, go outside and smell the smells, hear the noises and see the life around you. Just stand, or sit and take in what’s going on around you. It clears the mind, especially when you’ve been studying the whole day.
3. Drink water, and lots of it. Everything is better when you drink water.
4. Read something. It doesn’t have to be a book, it can be fanfiction, an article or a magazine, whatever. Reading extends your vocabulary and can help your writing style.
5. Smile more, even if you have to force it sometimes. It can make you feel happier, or at least it does for me.
6. Eat something you like once a day, whether it’s a piece of fruit or chocolate. It puts you in a better mood, and can re-energize you.
7. Spend time with your friends, yet also spend time alone. Go to the movies alone, go out for dinner alone, whatever. It can feel so liberating and, you can do what you want, when you want.
8. Exercize, even if it’s a 20min walk once a week and then taking the stairs instead of a lift every time.
9. Try and learn something new once a week, outside of school. It can be a joke, something about a friend, whatever just something new.

My day....
I normally wake up around 5.30/6am so I can ride before it gets too hot. When I wake up I wash my face etc. and I’m normally down at the stables by 6.30. I’ll ride both my horses and be done by around 8.30/9am. Then I’ll eat breakfast, practice my scales on the piano and watch news until around 10am. At 10ish, I’ll start working with school until my brother comes at 12pm to work with me. Then I split my time between working with my brother and doing my own work. This carries on until around 3pm, when I’ll either go to my platies class, practice more piano or do chores/things on my to do list for that day.
I normally eat around 5pm and then at 6.30 I go to gym, until around 8/8.30pm. When I get back, I’ll tidy my room, write my to do list for the next day, spend 30min reading my book, spend time with my family etc. until 10pm when I go to sleep.
I try and get to bed early because I get up early in the mornings and I do have very active days. I also try to limit caffeine like coffee during the day, just one cup before I go to the stables. I also make sure I eat five light meals a day because my body cannot take 3 heavy ones. I eat lots of fruit and veg, with protein and a few carbs, yet I honestly eat what I want when I want. I also drink lots of water, about 4l a day. I have this really cool water bottle from TYPO that holds 1l so I just refill that one.
I hope you guys liked this, please tell me if you want to see more text posts or more photo posts. Over the next few days I’m hoping to be posting more text posts to give you more of an idea about what you can expect from the text style posts.
Remember to hydrate, eat food (junk food as well, it’s good for the soul now and then), sleep and most importantly relax a bit to keep your mind sane.
Love you all,
Hannah xx

Hey guys 👋🏼 I’m so sorry that it’s been so long since I’ve posted, I know I say this every time 😂 I’ve been really busy teaching my brother, studying myself, working at my job and riding my horses. I’m trying to get into a schedule where I post a picture of my studying, a pic of my bujo once a week each and then a text post once every two weeks 🙈🙈 let’s see if I can do this. I’ve starting riding my horses again which is really helping my anxiety and depression and it means I’m getting so much more sleep because I’m so tired 😂😂. Remember to stay hydrated, sleep, study and always remember to relax now and then ❤️❤️ Thanks for sticking with me guys ❤️🌸🤗
