Gwyn Week 2024 has officially come to an end. Although we are sad to say goodbye to this amazing week, we're also happy that everyone came together to celebrate our beautiful priestess. Sharing my last @gwynweekofficial contribution to start off this week.

Azriel and Gwyn, both Carynthian, both equals in so many ways.

I love the way SJM set up Gwyn to compliment Az, including Azriel's involvement in helping the Valkyrie train, as I think his plot with the Valkyrie was very intentional to set him on the path alongside Gwyn.

For this commission I really wanted to lean into their flirting and banter we saw a glimpse of and hope to see more banter and flirting between the two!

I can't thank @/hachandraws enough for this beautiful commission, I've been wanting to work with her for sometime and so happy I was given the opportunity to work with her earlier this year, and beyond excited to share this artwork with you all.

Here’s a conversation between present day Gwyn and Gwyn from 3 years ago right around the events of Sangravah. This was inspired by the bus stop scene between Barbie and the old lady at the bus stop in the Barbi live action!

Gwyn has always been a very important and meaningful character for me. She represents me almost perfectly and during rough time she rlly gave me the motivation to stand up to my own fears. Just like that she has been an inspiration to so many women in this book community. Just like that, I also believe you yourself should be your biggest motivation. What I loved while I was thinking of this concept was that younger Gwyn is not just looking at her older self to find hope and motivation, but older Gwyn is also being able to look back at how far she’s come. And that no matter what, she will always be enough. I also wanted Gwyn to have short hair cuz I loved how the idea of cutting hair represents growth and liberation in many cultures and works of fiction.

Two Halves Apart - Chapter 1

A Choice - Lyra, mother of Gwyneth and Catrin, makes makes a difficult choice for the wellbeing of her twin daughters.

Day 1. Friends and Family - Two Idiots and a Bigger One

It is Gwyn's turn to be perplexed by the excessive antics of her chosen sisters. She doesn't know what the hell is so funny about her friendship with Azriel. But Emerie and Nesta find her cluelessness even funnier than her reactions to the Shadowsinger.

Day 2. Psyche - Gwyn Drabble

Based on chapters 23 and 24 of acosf

Day 3. Priestess - It begins with caring

Gwyn finds Azriel in a bad state after his return to the House of Wind. Not feeling worthy of her attention, Azriel tries to push her away. But she will not have it and insists on staying by his side.

Day 4. Adventure - Two Halves Apart - Chapter 2

A Journey - Gwyn and Catrin's individual journey through life.

Day 5. Powers - Flying Sparks

Gwyn gets frustrated during her lesson with Lucien as he tries to teach her to control her fire. It turns out that her biggest distraction is not her friends talking nearby, but the arrival of a certain Shadowsinger.

Alternative summary:- Literal sparks fly when Gwyn stares at the Shadowsinger.

Day 6. Alternate Universe - Fortuitous Encounter

Gwyneth attempts to find her way out of the woods in which she has gotten lost after being separated from her horse. Frustrated and muddy from the fall she has lamentably taken, she crosses path with someone who offers to help her; a Lord who also seems intent on toying with her patience.

Day 7. Free Day - After Date Night

Gwyn pulls Azriel in her bedroom when they come back from their date. It seems this night is about to end differently from their other nights.

As Gwyn Week 2024 comes to an end we would like to take the opportunity to express our gratitude towards everyone who was a part of celebrating Gwyn this week, a character that is a source of comfort and inspiration to many!!!

The sheer volume of content that has been made for this event is awe inspiring. Over 200 posts in a week just shows the impact Gwyn's character has had on this fandom.

my final entry for @gwynweekofficial day seven — free day

I envisioned Gwyn as a fairy, similarly from Winx Club. She’s always given off ethereal vibes, but also the grit and dedication that those ladies project in the show. Water or air, I think Gwyn would fit in no matter what.

She’s faceless at the moment while I am still on my journey to learn art, but I plan on revisiting this piece in a few months!
