Lol @lil-melody-moon we notice the same things. He's squeezed into that jacket, which probably only came in one size and fitted wee Jonesy much better. There are SO many pictures of Bonzo wearing tour merch. Although there are some photos where he's pretty dapper, I can't imagine he was the most patient shopper and most of the time, it was easier for him to grab whatever promotional stuff was lying round the office. I'd still shell out a fair price for a used, Bonzo-aroma shirt.

Cute baby meow. Fwiw the caption top right speculates "Robert's expression looks like he's thinking 'When are Jimmy and JPJ going to turn up?'" although something tells me JPJ is never late for *anything*

I don't understand Robert's face lol, but he's so cute, the pouting little lion🦁

The clothes here! Standout has to be Jonesy in his crochet vest thing. Robert with his watch fob and waistcoat is uncharacteristically conservative, but not as much as Messrs Page and Bonham in their beige/brown ensembles.

I always laugh at this one. Photographer: "OK guys, you're all over 30 and it's nearly the 80's so let's bring our best summer blazers, slacks, shirt and even a tie if you want and let's show how grown up and sophis we all are.

Ha! I like this breakdown of LZ members-you immediately know who is who. I love that they all looked, acted, spoke and dressed so different from one another.

*If you combine them as one group, though, they're all the super popular jocks compared to say...Rush.

Led Zeppelin:

- the band geek

- the hippie (who's also a jock)

- the guy who gives dweebs swirlies

- that weird kid who sits in the back of the classroom sniffing glue and murmuring unintelligible incantations to no one in particular and gets swirlies in between classes

So! It’s my first rodeo really putting together a full costume with some real effort and desire for accuracy but no idea where to start. For reference I’m trying to get jimmys moon suit, some references here below:

my main concern is the dragon decal and the sparkles above it - I really cannot tell how I’ll even approach it, so any advice is well appreciated! (I need this by late October, of course, so pray it becomes a reality) 😓

Lol, look at Bonzo's jeans. I wonder if the little granny behind him was trying to catch up and offer to add them her daily laundry. Now in Japan, they hire old guys to catch people doing a 'walk n smoke', so RP and JB would've got their wrists slapped in modern times.

A few photos of Robert, Jimmy and Bonzo being tourists roaming the streets and taking photos during Led Zeppelin’s first Japanese tour on September 1971. It was also one of the first tours of Japan by a western rock band.

“It was the first time I’d been to such a sort of overpopulated place…” recalled Jimmy Page of Tokyo, where the tour began. “It was a city with such a new vision towards the future. The technology boom was really going on, even then… It seems odd now with Nikon everywhere, but at the time they were just really breaking the market, and you could get cameras over here really, really inexpensively, and hi-fi and little cine cameras… We came here and went away loaded with cameras and I started documenting the rest of my travels with Led Zeppelin for a bit.”

The concerts were recorded at the insistence of the Japanese record company Warner Bros.-Pioneer Corporation, which represented the band’s record label Atlantic Records in Japan. However, Page considered the audio quality to be so poor, he decided to wipe the tapes and reuse them.

Hmm, classy place-love the brown wood walls and the cheap mirrors. The lady rocked up in her swimming costume by the looks of it. Robert looks like he's just worn everything at once. Bonzo's jacket looks quite suave....but he seems to be not in the greatest of moods, even with some comedy glasses...

At Edith's bar Germany. The band were spotted there by an photographer hanging out with groupies. Bonzo looks wasted.
