Aside from books I make a few home furnishings here and there as well. This is a reclaimed round 4 layer wooden beauty I found and have given her a happy new life with fresh paint and sealed her with a homemade soy wax and walnut oil recipe. She's ready to travel to her new forever home! She was a sad little girl when I found her but I give her a cheery coat of red and white with polkadots. The gorgeous new antique box I just bought, a curtain fixture box with rotating lid. This will be a box for a new book I'm making about my mother who has this thing about curtains. Purchased in the littleish town of Grand Junction in, I swear, the best antique store I have ever seen.

This was fun (and laborious!) to make. It's a boxed book, in which the book lives within this box. Every part of this, including the box, was made by yours truly. Because why? Because it's fun!
