Its important that during this time, we call out the Orlando tragedy for what it was, a blatant act of homophobic fueled violence!
More than ever, its important that we support our LGBTIQ community throughout the nation!

2016 Young Gay Men’s Summer Retreat
This past weekend the Gender Expansion Project had a great opportunity to present at the 2016 Young Gay Men's Summer Retreat. We had a great time educating on trans* identity, the systems of gender, social constructs, gender diversity and had a large emphasis on sex and body positity.

We urge everyone to voice their opposition to Fort Peck's recent North Carolina-style bathroom policy!
All individuals deserve to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of their gender identity or expression.
Help end the bathroom bills and ensure true and fair equality.
Thanks to Newsweek for exposing this terrible step backward in trans* equality in Montana at a national level.

Trans* people haven’t changed... we are who have always been. Our transitions are about being comfortable and about bringing our expression and bodies into a less dysphoric state.  Absolut kind of hit the nail on the head with this ad.

A great example of just why professional education around transgender health is so important, especially in rural environments like Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and the Dakotas, where services and knowledge surrounding trans* healthcare are lacking the most.

We are saddened to learn that yesterday the Fort Peck Indian Tribe has adopted a discriminatory bathroom policy that mirrors policies in place in North Carolina!
These bathroom bills benefit no one and harm individuals of gender diversity. Help us send a clear message that bills and policies such as this are in fact discriminatory and extremely harmful.
Councilman Ed Bauer, who seconded the initial motion, was recorded in the meeting minutes as saying, “What people do in their bedrooms is their business. How public bathrooms are used is (my) business.”
We want to send a clear message that policing bathrooms is no one’s place or business. Some see these policies as a means of “protecting” women and young girls from being assaulted in public restrooms, but may we remind you that such actions are ALREADY ILLEGAL... these bills don’t add any further level of protection for women and young children, but what they do is DISCRIMINATE!  Call this out for what it is... CLEAR DISCRIMINATION! Help us send a clear message to Montana that this IS DISCRIMINATION and that Montana shouldn’t tolerate discrimination!

A huge thanks to the Kalispell community for showing their support at our second Trans* Community Conversation on Thursday. We had a packed house! Not only did we help educate the community, but as a group, collectively put into action a means of better serving and supporting the trans* community in the Flathead. We are in the process of starting a series of community focused potlucks in the Flathead. Interested in getting involved? Email Bree at [email protected]

Its trans*phobia & homophobia like North Carolina's recent anti-LGBT / anti-trans* bill that fuel the Gender Expansion Project, its staff and dedicated volunteers to continue working to enhance, elevate and protect individuals of gender diversity throughout the rural northwest and beyond.
Seriously people.... QUIT CRIMINALIZING TRANS* FOLK!

So... please tell us, which girl shouldn’t be allowed in?  To all those that say that trans* women don't belong in women's restrooms... please tell us which girl shouldn't be allowed in? Can't tell? That's the POINT! It doesn't matter because trans* women are WOMEN. Trans* men are men! All trans* people should be allowed to use facilities that are congruent with their gender identity and this great photo goes to show just how ridiculous trans* discriminatory bathroom bills really are!
