Sorry to be a bother, but when do you think you'll return?

honestly im not sure. ive been really busy and balancing things has gotten really hard. ive still got a lot of school work to finish, promotion based job things, a family vacation, etc. im hoping to come back some time this summer but im not positive.

the most inspiring thing for me is getting new requests that interest me. if you have any ideas for collages/aesthetics/writings etc. then please send them in still!

Previously in the Queen Mary:

“Are you nervous?” He asked hesitantly.

“A little bit, I guess. I don’t know yet,” You admitted, “what about you?”

“I’m pretty spooked, honestly,” His grip on the steering wheel tightened.

You rested a hand on his leg and his hands eased off, “Either way we’re in this together and we’ll be fine.”

Now:

The drive was mostly quiet, some small comments and clarifications about the ship, but for the most part, you both sat silently enjoying each other’s company. As you neared the ship, you could feel the butterflies in your stomach take flight. Before you could worry yourself too much he exclaimed, “It’s real! The cinematic look is real!”

“It’s actually gorgeous. But still scary,” you chuckled, taking in the view of the ship, which was much larger than you had anticipated. You see a text from Shane appear on his phone and you read it aloud, “Valet parking, bitches!”  

Garrett rolled his eyes and muttered a nearly inaudible, “Shane” under his breath before pulling up to the valet parking anyways.  

You heard Shane, who had just pulled up behind you say, “Hi, we’re boarding,” to the man at the valet booth. You and Garrett awaited the others outside of the G-wagon and before you knew it, all of you were together.

“That’s a boat right there. Look!” Garrett announced to the camera, then spoke to Andrew inquisitively, “Andrew, have you ever seen a boat before?”

Without hesitation, Andrew shrugged and mumbled, “Yeah.”

Disappointedly, Garrett walked away, “Okay.”

Meanwhile, Shane was still unloading the back of the G-wagon with Ryland and Morgan. You joined them to help while Garrett busied himself talking to the man from the booth.

“Isn’t this exciting?” He prodded, clearly beaming.

The man sounded so unenthusiastic, but nevertheless said, “Sure.” You couldn’t hold it against him, to him this was just part of his day, a way to make a living. Garrett must have felt similarly but was always one for conversation, so he persisted.

“So, do you like this boat?” Garrett started.

“Ship,” the man interjected. Before either of them could speak again, Shane shouted, “Yes, correct him!” You couldn’t help but laugh at the situation, but muffled it by stepping to the side with your bag.

Unfazed, Garrett added, “What if I turned around and you weren’t there? Like you were a ghost. Wouldn’t that be crazy?”

The guy unintelligibly mumbled in agreement while Garrett moved to get his bag, “That guy’s cool.”

Shane rolled his eyes at the camera and continued to hand things out while you, along with Ryland and Morgan, began the short voyage to the boarding area.  

“Welcome aboard,” greeted an older gentleman in a suit upon stepping through the door.

You politely smiled, “Thank you,” as the others made comments about the poster of Princess Diana hanging across from the elevators.

“Did we get one of these first-class rooms or what, Shane?” Ryland nudged after you had all gotten onto the elevator.

Garrett pointed at a cute worker on the poster and then turned to you, “You’re more attractive than them.”

Morgan rolled her eyes and let out an exaggerated, “aw,” that got a laugh out of the others.

Soon, all jokes fell to the side and the elevator doors parted to reveal the majestic ship they would soon spend the night on. While everyone gasped in pure awe, you heard Shane most notably comment that the ship, "is the Titanic." With that in mind, you looked at the ship in an entirely new light. It really did resemble the Titanic. To some degree that excited you, but it certainly did not reassure you as to its stability. Snapping you out of your thoughts, Garrett draped his arm around your shoulders and Shane waved his arm vivaciously towards the boat. He made a quick joke about his family dying, but you were already walking towards the door.

"I'm so scared," Garrett muttered, eyes glued to the ship.

"It'll be okay, there's nothing to be afraid of," you were sure you weren't convincing, you hadn't even convinced yourself of that.

"Do you think it'll sink?" He asked as Shane caught up to you both.

In near perfect unison, they both answered, "When we get on it? Yeah," and turned away from the boat as equally in sync.

Shane monologued with the camera, but after hearing the start of his speech, you opted to block it out as to not grow even more frightened.

"Garrett might hit his head," Ryland observed.

He laughed from by your side and you couldn't contain a small smile. His laughter had always been one of your favorite sounds.

"They have merch!" Morgan announced aimlessly.

Everyone rushed to catch up and look while Shane glared at the clothing and stuffed animals, "Why is their merch better than mine?"

You and Morgan moved on from the merch quickly and began to take in the décor.  

"That hallway looks horrifying," Morgan shivered, gesturing towards the hallway in front of her.

"It's so creepy," you admitted, "Everything about this place is unsettling."

She nodded wildly in agreement, but Shane had a much different outlook on the hallway, "That's where Britney Spears shot her commercial! Right there!"

You rolled your eyes and amidst the others who wandered without direction in the lobby, you found Garrett and began the ticket purchasing process with him. The lady behind the counter was pleasant and open to sharing all kinds of stories.

Ryland and Shane spoke behind you both, but you were too busy listening to the stories to hear what they were saying.  

"What it says is the guests have reported seeing a woman in a brown dress with a pink bow tied to her waist sitting on the chair underneath the portholes," the woman recited, "when she stands up and walks to the door, she turns to mist."

"Which room is that?" You asked, not particularly worried about this seemingly harmless 'ghost'.

"The suite," she answered as the others gathered and Shane's eyes widened.

"So that's your room," Garrett explained, touching his shoulder slightly, and bringing him up to speed on the story through a much shorter lens, "Yeah, there's a woman in your room."

"And the other room?" You turned your attention back to her.

She clicked around for a short moment and then spoke in a very matter-of-fact manner, "Guests report blankets being pulled off of them while sleeping."

"Oh, I'm so self-conscious I'm freaked out," Garrett started. Instantly Shane added, "Oh yeah, I'm going to wear all my clothes."

"Yeah," Garrett laughed uproariously. Despite their jokes, suddenly you had a really bad feeling about this room. You brushed it off but kept your suspicions in the back of your mind to keep your guard up.

That wouldn't be a hard thing to remember in a place like this.

is the queen mary story male x garrett i can hardly find any of those these days even though hes literally gay. i love your work keep it up!

i write it with the intention of it being read as a male reader but there are two main factors as to why it’s technically a gender neutral reader. One is that i’m not a native english speaker and it makes it a lot easier for me to write it that way and to make sure my translations are correct. The other, and less prominent one, is that I know that gender is a complicated identity and to do my best at not stepping on any toes I just don’t use pronouns for the reader (again, it’s just easier to write this way too lol)

I know you didn’t particularly ask that, but all the other messages asking me are really meanspirited and I don’t want to spread any of that while answering this. 

But yeah, TL;DR the reader is intended to be a guy, because Garrett is a gay male, but I don’t use pronouns cause my english isn’t good enough to get it right
