I've made the mistake to buy the Sims 4 Life and Death on Instant Gaming to save up something like 5€ and now I have the pack but not the prepurchase content, I am so mad at myself, I should've buy it the normal way... I wanted this family portrait so bad...

Ravenwood... In the Sims 2 ?
I'm currently so excited for the Life and Death pack that I've started a dumb project on the Sims 2, idk if I'll finish it but for now I'm having fun working on it.
I would like to recreate Ravenwood in the Sims 2, so for now I'm just looking at early access footages and try to draw floor plans from what I can see on youtube and twitch videos, which is quite a tedious work to do (but very fun!).
I plan to made it a Sims 2 Ultimate Collection + Store + Prepurchase + Life and Death conversion "only". Thing is, the pack needs to release first and then I will have to wait for our beloved Mister Crumps to do his usual magic tricks with the pack.
I've already started to build a bit so I will just have to place the items once I'll have them, but my motivation is a sort of wild beast who is very good at dying, so I might release each build separately first so you can enjoy Ravenwood's builds like any other Sims 4 players, then we'll see for the full neighborhood.
If I ever finish this project it's gonna be so cool to be able to play Nyon Specter during his teenage year in a new neighborhood. For now I have to learn to build with an unmoded game so.. wish me luck!

If you ever found difficult to mix two or three windows together on a single house, just know that I used 20 different types of windows on this build. Had a lot of fun doing that
The First Heartwood
After 200 years I finally post a build I've done in the Sims 4. This is from the current Legacy Challenge I'm playing, so it's full of weird things like trophies, career rewards and tombstones. I'm currently done with this house so I decided to move my Sims in Tomarang, if I finish their new house I might as well share it on the gallery.
You can find the build with my ID Foxtronaute or by searching "The First Heartwood" on the gallery.

I keep watching video of content creators able to build and furnish a whole house in 2 to 4 hours only, while I spend 2 hours for each room of a house x.x WHY AM I SO SLOW HELP
There's this house I'm trying to finish since more than a month now and everytime I play I spend 2 to 3 hours on the game just for one room, this is so ridiculous
I've spend around 10 hours on this house just for this result, whyyyyy
There's one more room I haven't show here but... at this point it doesn't change much, it's still far from completion

I can't explain why but your Pleasantview has a big Belladonna Cove vibe for some reason. So I think that a more industrial style could totally fit here, like if it used to be the industrial part of Pleasantview but now it as been renovated into houses and apartments. So you could totally go with a huge apartment that used to be a factory back then. Or you coud also go for a community lot with restaurants and shops inside... Like you can do whatever you wan with a big building like that, which is cool.
Houses around it could try to imitate the style with red bricks and black windows. Which is nice with that style is that you can do a bit whatever you want with it, you can go full modern everywhere, either black or white, you can put a lot of greenery or none of them, having only one part being full of bricks and the rest is a more traditional house, etc... I almost always go for that type of style when I try to make modern houses in the Sims 2 because it just works so well.
Another style I saw and that I really liked because it still gives this "exotic" vibe like the originals condos, it's this one with a lot of white and wood colors, plus I do think there is a window in the For Rent pack you just converted that could totally works there, and which is cool is that from far away it looks like a classic modern house, but when you're near it you can see all the motifs and complexity of the building
A last one that is a bit more Sims core, but the condos in Sunet Valley were kinda cool, even if the colors weren't the best, the shapes were fun and could totally fit there.
Hope it helped you in any way!
Calling out for inspo!
This area of my Pleasantview is going to be home to the condos, ie Lothario / Caliente etc. But I’m super stuck on finding good inspo pictures for what I can recreate here!
If you can reblog with any photos you think might suit this area please! I also don’t mind if the style is completely different to the originals btw, just want something that fits Pleasantview, if that makes sense?
Also, this is the progress so far!
Thanks!

How to have shadows for your "Sims 4 to Sims 2" conversions: The guide
I made this guide some years ago but my english was terrible, so it was only available in my native language. I finally decided to translate it... or should I say, to convert it to english! I will not explain to you how to convert objects in this guide, you can find other tutorials online for this, here I'm gonna focus exclusively on shadows. Introduction Shadows in the Sims 4 are 3D objects (each object has its own unique one) with one singular texture for all of them. Which means we can easily convert them with the rest of the objects. Blender Once the object exported from TS4 Studio into Blender (or your other favourite 3D software), instead of only exporting the object's mesh like you usually do for conversions, you will also have to export the shadow's mesh separately. Like I said before, each object has its unique shadow mesh, which means that all of the objects you want to convert will now have at least two .obj file.
One Texture for All You can find the texture of those shadows directly in Blender, but the Sims 4 shadows are black on white, where the Sims 2 needs inverted colors, which means white on black. I made this change for you so you don't have to. You can find the file here
SIMPE From here you should start to guess how it goes. You have to import the two mesh into SIMPE, apply the full texture on the shadow's mesh (it will automatically get the correct one, you don't need to crop the texture or anything). It's been a long time so I forgot how SIMPE work exactly but you should have settings to tell the game this texture (or the mesh) is in fact, a shadow (who could've guessed) so the texture will work correctly with transparancy and will disappear when the object is placed outside. That's all folks! Hope it will help you with your conversions. Objects without any shadows can look very out of place, so it's nice to know there is a solution to this problem now! Don't hesitate to ask me any questions if I forgot something, I'll try to answer you the best I can.

Since MTS doesn’t allow game rips and that I couldn’t find anything of the sort online, I thought I would make it myself. introducing the True Clone System! A way for you to enjoy some of your favorite sims from the Sims 2 elsewhere! I went through all of the neighborhoods, and copied all of the playable sims (bin families and some key characters / some deceased parents too) and made them available to be imported through the custom existing sims. I’ve individualized them through each neighborhood and household to make it easier, or I have a all in one package that has every sim included without having to go through the folders. Sadly these aren’t perfect replicas, their skills and memories will be missing but vanity wise these are 100% accurate (sub outfits included!) I’m sure through means of gameplay, SimPE or mods you could get them back to their former glory if you’re dedicated enough :P
A big thanks to SimPE, as it’s what I used to create this.
How to install: simply unzip the file of the sim you wish to use into Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection\SavedSims (you can’t have folders in the saved sims folder make sure it’s only files of the sims you wish to use)
I’ve also included a small text cheat sheet of what a sim’s zodiac sign and aspiration for easier creation, separated by household and name as well so you didn’t have to have to go on a wild goose chase to find it like I did.

Seeing The Death being called “he” reminds me that in Latin laguages the word “death” and “grim reaper” are feminine So in a lot of different languages you can see The Death being reffered to by the pronouns “she/her”, canonically making the Grim Reaper lesbian and so, Olive Specter bisexual
I was today years old when I learned there are other riders of apocalypse in sims 2 lore
