GAHHH, thanks to a source on bsd twt, I found this scene that was missing from an earlier translation-post on Chapter 14 ("Shonen Ranpo wants to be praised" by Tsuki Anmi ^_^). SUCH A GOOD ADDITION!

The original compilation I saw was in Russian, so if a native-speaker could help translate, that'd be much-appreciated! 🙏🙏

Otherwise, I have this rough translation from having used Google translate:

Update: Mayoi - "Star-Gazing" for Ranpo ^_^ Another mention of FukuDad

This recent addition is nice because we get to see another mention of Fukuzawa - in the context that Ranpo lets us know he packs an extra sweater for cold weather with "the director" in mind :3 It sounds like such a 'mother hen' thing on behalf of the ex-assassin, hehe.

Happened to stumble upon this while I was looking into things for my fic...

According to the 5th Official Guidebook (didn't know those were a thing), Fukuzawa defines Ranpo as 'growing up' once he eats less candy... :3

I love how indulgent Fukuzawa is concerning Ranpo's habits; he's such a serious bad-ass on his own, and yet as a dad, he makes a lot of concessions since he was so caught off-guard by parenthood, lol.

Update: Mayoi - "Beach Vacation" for Ranpo... as he considers a souvenir for his Dad ^_^

I love that the recent Mayoi card for Ranpo (him at the beach) had him repeatedly think of finding a conch for Fukuzawa - and wishing "the director" was there with them :3

It really is too adorable how much he loves hanging out with his father-figure.

I love that this is a perfect depiction of what occurred in the LN in the sense that Fukuzawa showed affection as well (initiated it!) and put his hand on Ranpo's head like that ^^

Detroit: Become Family, "Devotion" Prompt

Kinda going backwards here, but I spent the most time on it... Even though I couldn't finish completing all the prompts, I wanted to leave this for last 😊

It captures a different meaning in terms of 'devotion' because I mean it as a 'devoted tribute' to a fic that makes me endlessly happy/inspired. So, this goes out to @woo-lesbeano

Her story "Investigations and Emotions (And Handling Both)" is something I always go back to, so as a 'thank you,' I wanted to render a certain scene: Human!Connor finally catching a break and eating falafel while Android!Hank watches on protectively/affectionately.

Detroit: Become Family, "Calm" (and "Confidence" in a way) Prompt

Specifically to paint 'opposite' to the previous scene, we have Connor being successful in a bust and Hank is in Proud-Papa!mode instead, hehe. Connor followed the rules this time and did his job well (and safely!).

It looks like an old-timey bank, but I loved the design too much to pass up on it. And it was funny including NPCs that are just there to look impressed :) I realize some things are anachronistic here other than the bank, but welp, my pixel resources are limited ;P

I hope the 'ruffle hair' effect paid off and that Connor's blue LED is pretty visible.

Detroit: Become Family, "Troubled" (and "Doubt" in a way) Prompt

For this prompt, I considered Connor getting in trouble (with Hank) for getting involved in a red ice bust. So, here we have Pissed-Off-Dad!Hank grilling him in a literal interrogation as he tries to get his kid to confess he was needlessly reckless (and to promise to *never* do this again) :P

We have Gavin as a bonus character too, finally sympathizing with Connor somewhat 😅

Oh, and I have the red LED kinda visible - to highlight a contrast since the next part features a blue LED ^^

Detroit: Become Family, "Darkness" & "Light" Prompts

Ok, so I was cheap this year and started accumulating prompts without sharing them on time... 😰 Things got tangled up with RL work, but now I'm here for the last day, at least.

At least I'll be able to contribute in a marathon-like fashion.

For the 2nd and 3rd prompts, I fused them together to envision a family trip for Hank & Connor ^^ So they'd be at a summer house, star-gazing. Hank indulges Connor and listens to him talk on and on about constellations, but really, he's just glad to see his adoptive son ramble happily :3

Tumblr and its odd settings

This has been going on for a couple years, maybe... but does anyone else notice how Tumblr doesn't really update the "Following" column? I have the SAME posts over a week's span... and I know that my moots are updating. The "For You" column is also pretty delayed and not at all in sync with my preferences. And I don't think I can change any of this... Is this so-called feature supposed to push me into buying a tier-thing for Tumblr?

This site has a lot of issues, but this kind of format is making it a million times worse. Shame that Tumblr keeps crumbling... I honestly used to like it a lot here, especially when it was filled with awesome fanart. Seems Twitter is still better in that regard (and that's even with dumb-ass Elon at the helm, who insists on tanking that site, sadly).
