So... health issues have been a thing. There's something going on with my sleep patterns that's been pretty majorly disrupting my life and it's making it very hard to keep up with stuff on here.
(They are scheduling sleep studies a month out and told me to wait 2 weeks before calling myself)
One on One stuff on Discord has been a lot easier, but even that has been suffering a bit.
If you don't have my discord, but would like it, feel free to send me a message and we can exchange usernames! If you're worried about that? If we've talked and RPed here, then you are someone that I am more them happy to share that info with!
I might be a bit slow and sleepy, but I do enjoy having you guys around me, never worry on that!
#OOC#I'm so sorry guys#Till I get this figured out better#I probably should consider myself on hiatus

Rayen didn't mind that he trailed a bit close. He was such a serious kid, so seeing him get a little shy was kind of cute. She almost wanted to hug him to see if he'd fluster a bit. She wouldn't, but it was tempting! "Well, welcome to 'Sweet Springs'!" Rayen smiled at him. "Like I said, it's not much, but there are far worse places to end up on No man's Land. We get a lot of caravans coming through here going to and from the bigger cities, so a lot of gossip comes through here as well. It's a good place to be if you want to hear about what's going on without necessarily being part of it all." Conversely, that should make it easier to get the word out about a lost little boy and his missing family. "Lets see... should we start at the saloon or with the sheriff?" Rayen mused out loud. "Maybe the sheriff? Then we can get some missing person's posters made up so we can pass them along with any out of towners."
flutterfae-rp:
Rayen hummed, thinking a moment as they continued to ride across the sands.
“Well, there are other ways of looking for someone besides going out yourself to look. Maybe we could put up a reward for information? You said Vash is your twin, right? Are you identical?” The teen asked. “Because if you’re identical twins, then we can use your face, and then people will know who to look for, and if they’re together, then we’ll be able to find them both that way.” It wasn’t long till the town came into view. It was a speck of a place, with only a single plant to manage the towns electrical needs. Water came from a rare natural spring, and Rayen had (with her grandfather’s blessing) been helping to install solar panels harvested from scattered wreckage to try and lessen the plant’s burden. “…It’s not much, but we can still send out calls between towns, and that’s the main thing to worry about right now.” Rayen pulled her sand surfer to a stop near the edge of the town and helped Nai off of the board. “You ready?”
“…Sort of..” he replied, “He has a mark under his left eye, opposite of mine. And his hair is a bit of a darker blonde…” He was pale in comparison to Vash. “And…his hair is cut opposite mine…His eyes are a darker blue, too.” They were almost reflections of each other, so he supposed it could work using a photo of him.
Nai still couldn’t help but think that something horrible may have happened to Vash though. After all, that crater was pretty large.
Looking at the town as they came up on it, he noted how small it was compared to what he expected. Though, his expectations all came from what he had read about while on the ship. With a nod, he stepped off the board and cautiously approached the town. He would stick close to Rayen, not wanting to get lost or run into anyone he didn’t know. Not that he knew Rayen, but she at least seemed nice enough.

"I suppose so... if having a normal conversation is out of the question." Daniel hummed a bit as he stirred the pot. A smile tugged at his lips as his attention was briefly grabbed by the skag pup in Jay's arms giving a soft noise and wiggling her little feet in her sleep. "...looks like she's having a good dream. I wonder what she's doing?" Charlie made a face at both of them, but softened... just a little looking at the little skag's wiggles. "Maybe... she's playing chase with her ball." The child suggested. "She likes chasing after toys."
"Well, good on you. You're already wise to shit. Nasty people never deserve forgiveness."
It might've been unsettling to more civilized and well-mannered people. But to Jay, it seemed just right on this planet.
"So we all just gonna be starin' at each other, then? I'm starin' at the nerd to make sure he doesn't poison shit. Kid's starin' at me to make sure I don't spring into action."

"You want access to better food and water on this planet, but you DON'T want cash? My guy, I have some BAD news about how things work out in the greater galaxy." Jay shook his head wryly. "What I CAN do bypass Hyperion's network to get an outside corp to take the order and make the drop. You pay enough, they'll even insulate it properly." Off world food was really the only way to insure that there was some kind of quality to it. Livestock didn't last long on Pandora, and there was something about the soil here that made the cultivation of non-native flora basically impossible. (Though what DID grow here grew damn well with a good source of water. Those months after flood years? The planet could almost be pretty.) "I mean, you give me a good solid no and I'll leave you be. Might even put you somewhere generally out of reach of random shit snuffling around ground level for a snack. Just cuz I'm a nice guy like that."
"I mean, if you also got access to better food or whatever, I guess. But other than that.. I dunno, I just wanna destroy everyone and everything."
The older Jay huffed back. "Ugh, whatever. You're just gonna keep botherin' me if I don't agree to it, aren'tcha?" He couldn't exactly run away as far as normal in his current size state. "Fine, whatever. But if you annoy me too much, I'm ditchin'."

The child priestess paused from her place describing the castle of 'Truth' to peer over the top of her book owl-ishly at the gigantic god. There was a pout tugging at the little girl's lips at being interrupted at an interesting part, and she gave a sigh. They had gone this long without needing her name. Surely it could have waited till the story was over? "Zinnia. Like the Flower." She replied. "My Mother enjoyed flowers with bright colors. At least that's what my Grandmother says." It wasn't a bad name, but Zinnia did wish sometimes that she'd been named after something a little longer lasting then a plant that bloomed for a single season.
Ather listened with rapt attention as Zinnia read her book to him. Although she was only a child he certainly felt that Zinnia would be better suited to bring a storyteller - more so than a priestess and servant to the temple. He could hardly recall the last time he’d had so much fun.
The company alone was enough. He smiled softly and warmly at the child in front of him. What an adorable child… honestly, all of the young priestesses in training were adorable to Ather. They all reminded him of his own younger sister in their own ways.
As he thought of that, Ather started to wonder just how his family was doing. How was Ava? How old would she be now? ...The years had long since begun to bleed together. At the very least he could not recall having ever been told that she had died so he could only assume that she and the rest of his family were still around. He couldn't remember the last time they came to the temple to visit him.
The god managed to pull himself back to the matter at hand though rather quickly: the girl telling her story.
Yet that was when he realized - "...Forgive me for interrupting, but what is your name, if I might ask?"
Hopefully the young priestess wouldn't mind giving him such information.

The sounds of the stranger was approaching more quickly now. Barbatos could hear the rapid footfalls and the concern in the other's voice carried in on stray bits of wind.
They sounded kind.
...It wouldn't do at all to let such a person see him in this state.
Barbatos took a deep breath. Borrowing as much from these strange winds as they would allow to pull himself onto his feet... unready, or unsteady as he might have been in the moment. However weak he felt, Venti's form would hold and he could greet the stranger with confidence.
And if the Bard leaned heavy against the stone that had shaded him, then so be it.
"...Woah. That took more out of me then I thought." Venti gave a sigh, sounding a bit bleary. However, he still had a sheepish sort of smile to offer the stranger when they made their way to him.
"Ehehe... I don't suppose you'd know the fastest way into town, would you?"
As the Plant moved forward, muscles taut and quivering like a bowstring ready to act on a moment's notice, he cast another net of awareness out as far as it could possibly reach. If the person-- or being, he guessed he didn't really know what had landed here this time if it could directly affect the wind --was unconscious or couldn't call out in response, he needed to be able to locate them through subtler vibrations. A heartbeat, breathing, anything would be good enough--
!!!
And then he heard them, snapping him out of his intense concentration. They sounded weak, sure, but conscious. Alive. Good...! Gloved hands went right back up to cup around his mouth and amplified his voice as he called out again--
"HEY! Hey, I hear you-- stay with me, okay?! I'm here to help, so please hold on...!"
Come on, one more sound-- one more call and he could pinpoint their direction, at least...!

Dying was not quite the word... Consolidating would be, perhaps, the more apt turn of phrase. The winds of this place, while not outright hostile to his presence, were strange and indifferent to Barbatos. The Anemo energy that normally rose to his beck and call felt far away and distant, leaving him only that which his body produced naturally... and that on its own was hardly enough to maintain the form the Archon held so tightly to his heart. It wavered and shifted like the winds in this harsh and lonely place. Would his lose his body? It had been so long since Barbatos had gazed into the eyes of that lost friend. Would he ever be able to recreate that form again if it fell apart? He didn't know, and that thought was frightening... So he gave it everything he had. Every precious drop of energy that was left to the Archon. ...And when he opened his eyes again? It was to the sound of a voice. "Hello? Is someone out there?" Here. He was here. Yet he had not the strength to rise. Barbatos' eyes began to drift closed once more. What form would that stranger find him in? He mused to himself. An Archon fallen, wings feather'd and white? Or the greens of a Bard in a terrible plight? Tis a rotten predicament, not to know... and yet here on the winds doth mine own fate flow. "Here... I... am here."
@flutterfae-rp said: Desert for Venti (Genshin Impact) Starter Call with a Twist // new interactions, always accepting
Reports of sudden and unusual high winds east of May city have local meteorologists baffled due to the low levels of atmospheric change typical of the area. Even more bizarre is the storm-like wind levels allegedly died down nearly as quickly as they came without moving away from the remote location, though thankfully, the area is free of any civilization and no one was caught by the currently-unexplainable shift in activity--
It was always sort of difficult to navigate to the middle of nowhere, especially following after a ripple of foreign energy that was slowly dying. Vash had quickly rented a Tomas, thrown his stuff over the back of it, and cast his senses out as far as they could go to get a sense of direction.
Someone else had been dropped here from another world.
It took hours to get from the small settlement he'd been hovering around to get to the 'remote location' where the energy signature was still the strongest, and it was nearly nightfall by the time boots hit the sand again, but he was there, casting another net of awareness out to get a feel for the area.
Nothing typical to feel; a complete void, dedicated solely to the energy not native to the planet. This was definitely the place.
"Hello?" the Plant cupped his hands around his mouth as he called out, hoping to get someone's attention. "Is anyone out there?"

"Um... Excuse me-!" Arnette had darted out after the stranger, pulling lightly at their sleeve. She had been warned quite sternly about not talking to people who she hadn't been told were 'safe', but no one else seemed to have noticed at all! "You... you dropped this." The child held the fallen item up with her other hand, sleeve pulled down as best as it could be over the blue markings that crawled up her hand to the tips of her fingers.

Which, terrorizing generally worked? A lot the kids in the area were pretty convinced the guy would probably eat them if he got too peckish... but some of them payed attention. No one was safe, but you learned pretty fast who threw kicks and curses your way and who opted for buzzaxes and bullets. Jay the younger let out a huff. "Oh ye of little faith. C'mon...There has to be SOMETHING you want. Just give me a chance. Might be I surprise you. Besides, what do you REALLY have to lose by humoring me? A Few hours NOT getting stepped on or eaten?"
"I mean, yeah, why settle for less? But I'm not really a team player."
He scratched his head. That was true, he never really killed any kids. (When he did, he was also a kid, himself, at the time.) If anything, he would mostly just terrorize kids to scare them.
"Well, being able to kill more of the Yellow H goons and destroying their shit would be pretty nice. They shouldn't be allowed to live anymore." What would he want? What tangible thing besides food would he want?
"Good question. Probably nothing you can do anything about."

"Probably." Daniel offered a tired smile. "Charlie's always been wary of new people. If one of us is going to make it on this planet, it'll probably be them." Daniel ruffled the child's hair, but they swatted his hand away, continuing to glare at Jay. "...If you mean that, you better be ready to kill me too, because I won't forgive you." Charlie informed him. "Not ever." The look on their face was cold for such a young child... as if already contemplating how to take their revenge. It was just a little unsettling.
"Oh, don't worry. The puppy will be fine. Its the big nerd that's gotta be worried," he commented. "And then you can get that shotgun afterward, right?" How much of that was a joke and how much was serious? He wasn't going to tell.
"Someone don't trust me. I've always been a very suspicious person. I think the kid's smarter'n you are."

"You mean, being the strongest isn't reason enough? I mean. Damn. Why settle when the best is right there. am I right? Plus, we have the same name, and I dunno about you? But that's kinda hilarious." The cheek in the younger Jay's faded a bit and the child looked away, scratching the back of his head. "...Plus, I've looked into you a bit. You don't go out of your way to kill kids, right? So I figured if YOU end up screwing me over, I might actually survive it. I can deal with being robbed or stranded, but I've been working pretty damn hard to NOT die on this rock." The child shook his head. "Fuck it if you're not basically impossible to get for a team up, I mean. I really can't think of anything else to offer you, besides an extra opportunity to kill and/or piss off some Hyperion goons. I could probably hack you some free cable? I dunno. I don't know what you would WANT if weapons and cash isn't your cup of tea."
"Why, outta everyone you coulda grabbed, would you wanna ask me for help, anyway? I mean, yeah, I'm like, the strongest. But you'd've had a better chance suckerin' someone else." And he wasn't exactly the very helpful type to begin with.
"Shit you gotta keep refilling to keep it functionin' is a pain. I mean, I could still throw 'em or smack people with 'em. But also, they're just not very fun." Nevermind that he had some aiming issues, and his eyes have been getting worse. But he can't just tell people his weaknesses.
"I already got a shield and a 'nade mod. Barely use the 'nade, but I got it. And that sounds great for tech nerds, I guess. But I got all the buffs I need. Better than tech shit."

Rook let out a little sigh, but he seemed more bemused then anything else. She seemed like she was trying to pace herself at least. He wasn't about to scold someone who was putting in effort to do what he asked. "Well, if you've got a good appetite, I'm not going to complain about that. It's not too odd for people in your position to get a little disconnected from the signals their bodies are sending them." Maybe he should offer her meal in smaller courses rather then all at once? That way she didn't eat too much before her stomach had to understand that it was full. "You seem like you're doing well with that. Do you think you might want a bit more?" Rook asked her.
@avataroftheswarm
The Worm watched the robot, turning its stalk eyes to track 41-D as it hovered about. Just in case. Zazie wasn't there to harass the robot or keep it away from Audrey so the Worm was responsible for keeping an eye on it.
When Rook came back the Worm finally moved, climbing up Audrey's arm to settle on her shoulder so she had her hands free. And not for begging purposes, certainly not.
Of course, Rook had to go and point out that it had already eaten and the Worm flutters it's wings and then droops sadly. No nibbles for the Worm? How sad! How cruel!
Oh well, Zazie will be here soon and then they'd have snacks as a swarm.
