The older I get, the more I realize

I think I know, about myself.

The better I know, the less I am

Who I think I am.

Refreshing.

The worse I find it, the better I can grow.

Or I am good with how I actually am.

Alive in the Sun

Capture my explosion through the fireworks.

My tears with a full and bright moon.

My joy in a child’s contagious laughter.

Your random but genuine kindness

Definitely mends my heart on edge.

The undivided attention and ears and shoulders speak to me.

The rain knocks on the shoulder

out of the umbrella

taps some dirt off.

Let the shower wash problems away.

But I’d rather sun bathe to dry them out and feel alive.

Time to put the contact lens out they’re dry.

And rest my soul while this world seems less sharp.
