Longer answer: There’s definitely more I want to do with file-1, but for now I am involved with other things. There’s a couple plot points for sure I will be aiming for. I started up a somewhat large group project, and collaborating with other artists. It’s @echogaster and I think y’all should check that out as well! I also got an actual job for five days a week, that’s been a thing. My trinkets have been selling well, and it’s through that and my Patreon that I’m working to get out of the living situation I’m in, so I CAN be more free to create.

Why only one post per page? It's hard to scroll through them all

[[ mod: I chose the theme to be able to be read like any other webcomic out there, which is one post per page. I understand that it’s different than other tumblr askblog formats. Major problem I have with it is an analytics thing, makes the page loading take longer than it really ought to. ]]

[[ Mod: I feel this is relevant to how and why the comic is getting ‘less attention’ than my Trinket stuff. I’m trying to be honest and straightforward with my situation to all of you guys. (Unlike story stuff, because that’s different.)

My Patreon is basically my ‘income’ and what I am being measured on by the powers-that-be. If you really want to make sure I am safe and able to update, then the Patreon needs to reach a certain threshold. If that sounds like a threat, it’s because it is, but not from me.

The longer I am jobless and attempting to make my creative work work for me, the less rights I receive. My privacy is being less and less respected, generating huge amounts of anxiety from me, and making me unable to do my creative work. I am unable to stream because I am called on to do any tasks and am under pressure to never say no. I have to drop whatever I am doing at the drop of a hat, because “It’s not like you’re doing anything important.”

I greatly respect my family, I am not going to scream at them or tell them they are hurting me or up and run away. I understand that I am way past-due for ‘leaving the nest’ and staking out my own claim. That is literally what I’m trying to do here, but I really really need your help to make it real.

Do you ever find it difficult to decide whether you want to draw comics or make jewelry?

“Or” That key word there is what I’m trying to eliminate. I want to make it “and” and not have to decide.

I want to make comics and art first and foremost. I really do. But the problem is I need money. Currently I am living in the graces of some very irritated parents. They want to see me making money, which is fair. I don’t have a job to support anything right now.

The deal with the jewelry is that it’s a one-to-one exchange of thing I make to money. Folks seem to be way more ok with exchanging money for physical goods than money for something they already see for free.

As is, file-1 cannot make money. My daily drawings and livestreams are not making enough, though I thoroughly thank those who have given me something.

Jewelry crafts can generate money. It has a front end cost of supplies, but a profit at all is better than no income as my usual art is generating now.

I do have a Patreon for this purpose and if you can I would really REALLY appreciate it if support could be shown there.

Here’s a little video thing I took, trying to get an intro/ad thing for Patreon, but I keep getting emotional and rambly. Truth be told, I’m scared to not be able to create in the future. (This video itself is not what I would want for an ad. I sound desperate because, well, I am. Hardly professional though.)

Believe me, I want to make everything. I want to tell the stories I cook up. I want to host the streams. I want to make the things for people to enjoy. I want to keep my stuff free, but I need help.

[[ Mod: Reasons I haven’t been working on file-1 have been because of this. I’m desperately trying to gather up support to get out. Buying my goods would be wonderful, Patreon support would be the ultimate support.

I know, and understand, how most of you just want to see the next update. I want to too. The situation at home is looking to forbid me from spending time in my creative endeavors, give it up altogether and ‘face reality’ that “no one can make a living doing what (you) do.”

It is being demanded of me to either prove that I can support myself through my creative works or give them up. This includes my livestreams, @file-1, resin, sculpture, all of it. After finally feeling comfortable in my place creatively, I’m being told to toss it. That it is only a hobby, and all it ever will be.

Those who have attended my streams or followed me for a while know what sort of passion I have going in to my projects. There’s bunches of projects in the works as is! I am asking for your financial help and support. I know there is very little to spare. As more of you have gotten to know me, perhaps a few more could spare some change.

My Patreon is centered on my daily drawing project, which I will do my damndest to keep going no matter what. (Almost 5 years of daily drawing posts, that’s got to count for something.) For contributing to the Patreon you get to see daily drawing posts before they are published for free, for everyone else in the queue. The goal is to keep as much of my content free for everyone in the end, but I need some help to keep it happening.

My Etsy shop is home to neato glowy things. They are my pride and joy and I’m getting better every time I cast more. They are really great, I dunno how else to really stress how neat they are to have.

It's just, I'm confused and a little frustrated. Undertale taught us that showing mercy and trying to understand others is the best route. Since Chara is supposed to be a result of the player. Without a player there shouldn't be a Chara (demon chara, not past chara) so there shouldn't be a reason to fight. Also us choosing the result of what Sans does feels like it goes against Sans' character. Sorry just something doesn't sit right with this. sorry.

Fighting doesn’t necessarily mean killing. There is a time and a place to show in-depth mercy.

This was also my first forray into having Users deciding exactly what to do. I recall during the beginning folks were unsure of this being an askblog instead of a comic, so I wanted to really push involvement. Other things (like going to Grillby’s) we’re vague but gave direction. I agree it is a bit forced, but Entry 0017 was decided a long time ago to be the point where shit goes down. Going forward it will be more about Users finding the right questions about the world. Live and learn, right? ]]

Wait, Wait. What was the point of the voting again? I mean this is supposed to be a timeline without a player. Isn't there technically a player if we're controling his actions? I mean he's rushing in to save Toriel. It would kinda be against what he's already doing if he suddenly stopped.

The point of voting was for your suggestions to impact how he would react to the human. How he reacts to the human determines how events will unfold. Given how several of my puzzle pieces ended up unsolved, the smoothest course of action wasn’t found.The mun decided that a simpler option could play out, just with a more loaded question.

The correct answer for the voting (that would leave Toriel unharmed) was to FIGHT. This leaves the asks holding up the main course of action. Gen is very close to Toriel, and already armed. It’s a complicated almost reverse-hostage situation. I don’t really blame you for your confusion.

There is “technically” no player, regardless of Sans. Sans is still just Sans. Sans and the input you are giving him does not make a player. There is a player value, because the game started, but the conditions have changed for this file.
