I like to think Clive's got a lot more happy now, he's changed a lot. Surrounded by loving people and finally getting those happier times after all the stuff that is Unwound future, I considered adventure stuff once but no they've been through enough, they deserve to rest.

I’m very happy with how gentle she’s turning out, I want her to evoke the feeling of looking very huggable and soft when at home. Someone you’d like to return to. That also shares a small passion about clocks but blame that on the found family :)

 funfact: Mary's first design had a mole on her cheek (which was obviously scrapped) so the oil stain is a small callback to that.

Bakery AU!

Flora has a waitress job at a bakery cafe

Since Luke and Flora are best friends (go to same school) Luke comes over a lot after school

Flora’s cousin Mary also works there as a baker (cakes sweets, you name it, she’ll bake it.)

Also the reason Luke comes over a lot, free food, Mary spoils him

One day Luke’s older brother Clive comes to pick Luke up (their parents have been worrying why Luke comes home so late after school)

and ah suddenly he’s there just as much as Luke

Time for some sadness. Takes places after Clive gets knocked unconscious by this metal pipe thing. He's sorry for staining her gloves with his blood.

I imagine that she didn't know about the whole huge ass war machine death robot as Clive wanted to "surprise" her with it. She wasn't thrilled about taking revenge on innocent london with a war machine at all and immediately sought out to stop him. While the Professor and Co are busy with Clive, she's climbing the fortress to confront him directly.

And she succeeds. Right as the building is about to collapse. Their argument is cut short when Clive gets knocked unconscious by falling debris. She doesn't support his decision of revenge or justice as he calls it, but he's still the person she holds dear to her heart and that will never change... She'll stay until the end.

Future Flora (Mary) is canon now in my mind. I mourn the missed potential of Future Flora from the original third game. Thank you for bringing this AU concept to life!

Yea it´s sad we never got a future Flora design, just look at how good future Luke looks. And Flora could have played a much bigger role too if there was a future Flora involved, just imagine the drama! And also bonding moments hehe.

Not to mention how much more we could have dived into Clive's personality too, there's a reason I made Mary super close to him. I always felt like it was kinda dumb he wanted to take revenge on ALL of london and not the ones responsible for the time machine? Boom give Mary burn scars from the fire, make no one adopt her because of them as they don't want an ugly daughter, make her shunned out by people to the point she always wears gloves... now THIS adds to Clive's hatred of society and not only the scientists. To the point he gets overwelmed by his own emotions to take revenge justice.

It really hurt Flora when her future self turned out to not be her future self.

The two grew really close. The Luke's half liked, half hated each other so neither cared as much, but the Flora's? They really bonded. Flora was just so amazed by this elegant lady that is her future self and is respected by everyone. Never left alone. Future Luke is always by her side. Even younger Luke treats her future self differently and the Professor sees her as an equal now rather than a young child. She is finally one of them. Her personal most desperate wish came true...

Future Flora's reveal as Mary Gold felt like a personal betrayal.
