(I know I'm taking some liberties with this such as the fact that there's no way that SkekTek would leave the Castle or even get to the Circle of the Suns in time but screw it. The movie and show took liberties with time as well. Also this is longer than I expected. Oops)

SkekTek hastily puts on his robes, trying to avoid stepping on all the frivolous art projects SkekGra has laying around the Circle of Suns. He's spent time here an hour too long, the Skeksis will find out he's gone, he needs to get back. He makes his way to the entrance of Grot, to the shortcut that SkekLi lead him through when he hears that grating voice he's come to feel conflicted about.

"Leaving so soon?"

SkekGra is leaning on the cave mouth, waiting for him the whole time.

"It would be a real shame for you to leave. UrGoh has really come to enjoy your company," SkekGra says.

"Don't try to guilt me with lies, SkekGra!" SkekTek snarls. "As if I want to spend time with the traitor and the imbecile who tamed him. As if a Mystic would enjoy my company!"

"Oh no. He does. If he didn't, you would know." SkekGra walks closer to him. "I have to wonder why did you come in the first place?" SkekGra asks, leaning a hand on the wall besides SkekTek, making the Scientist feel smaller, and yet...safe. "You specifically asked SkekLi if he knew where I was. Why?"

"I-I..." For once the loquacious Scientist is at a loss for words. "The Skeksis are livid with you after that stunt you pulled with the Dual Glaive."

SkekGra snickers, moving in ways that reminds SkekTek like a puppet. "I expected lividness."

"This isn't something to be taken lightly, SkekGra! There's talk of eradicating you!"

SkekGra grins only wider, SkekTek recognizes that look. He's nervous, but he doesn't say it. "So you were worried about me?"

SkekTek looks down not denying it. "There's no weaponry with you....." SkekGra tilts his head in response to that. SkekTek continues. "How do you expect to fight back without any weaponry?"

SkekGra snickers. "Well, you know me, SkekTek. I'm quite agile."

"So you plan to run away from the fight. That's not the Conqueror I know." SkekTek grumbles disapprovingly, but flinches back when SkekGra snarls.

"Well I'm not the Conqueror anymore, am I??" SkekGra looks at the timid look on SkekTek's face and takes a deep breath. He reaches out, and when SkekTek doesn't move back or pushes his hand away he takes his shoulder. SkekTek closes his eyes, expecting a blow, but receiving an embrace, much to his surprise. SkekGra's arms wrap around him, the scent of paints and wood reaching SekTek's nostrils. Not the scent he's used to. Yet he finds himself inhaling it.

"Forgive me..." SkekGra murmurs. He lets go and nuzzles his head on SkekTek's head. "You don't have to leave you know..."

"Yes I do." SkekTek instinctively says. "The Emperor needs me."

"So you can drain more Gelfling and Podling slaves?" SkekGra asks with a hint of disgust.

"Since when did you care about the Podlings as well?" SkekTek growls.

"Last week." SkekGra admits with a shrug. "There's a much bigger world outside the Castle, SkekTek. Even I'm still learning about it." He reaches up and pets his cheek. "When will you see that you are letting yourself burn up, just so you can keep the others warm?"

SkekTek leans in to SkekGra's touch and nuzzles the Heretic's neck feathers, prompting SkekGra to purr. SkekTek is shaking so SkekGra pets his back, rubbing his hand down his spine just how he used to like it.

The Scientist sighs and pulls away. "I can't. The Skeksis way is the only way I know." He turns and walks away, not looking back. He can't get used to the comforting touch. It holds him back.

"...Now doesn't that sound familiar?" SkekGra mutters, watching his Scientist disappear into the caves. He returns to the Circle and makes his way to the Canopy bed he shares with UrGoh. He curls up against the warm mystic, letting out a shaking sigh.

Nivo's wings could never carry her this high, not as high as SkekVask's aircraft ever could, she could never get tired of this. She and the Pilot have gotten into a relationship of sorts. It took them a while but the feelings Nivo feels for him are romantic.

While she feels exceeding happiness, she also cannot help being a little troubled.

The Pilot is probably one of the most intelligent and kindest Skeksis (or Skeklings) there is, she feels incredibly lucky to have met him. Of course there is the issue of his supposed immortality and her...fleeting mortality. Does she need to be like SkekTek and continuously find ways to cheat death just to be with him? That option...Is not off the table but...

"Nivo? Are you alright?" SkekVask asks, standing above her. In her thoughts, she didn't notice that he stopped the propeller so the zeppelin would hover in place. His red warm eyes are soft, and transfixed on her.

Nivo sighs, not wanting to ruin their reverie. "It's nothing. Really." SkekVask sits next to her. "Are you sure?"

Nivo sighs and puts her metallic/wooden hand on his. "I'm not...quite ready to talk about it." She knows she cannot avoid talking about it. And her fear of opening up to others caused her dreamfasting ability to haywire. "Can we talk about it when we land?"

Vask tilts his head, hair in the breeze passing his eyes. "If that's what makes you comfortable..."

Nivo smiles. It's an adventure. Full of dangerous territory and unknowns. It's terrifying and yet...intriguing.

"How about you teach me how to steer?" She stands up, eager to continue.

Warning: It's been a hot minute since I watched a playthrough of Mass Effect. A looot of this may be OOC. If anything I might be applying a bit of my personality in Shepard.

I don't know when this takes place.

"Hey, Mordin." Shepard walks into the lab. She has been for quite a while, but if Mordin's annoyed by it, he never says.

Mordin looks up, feeling himself cheer up at the sight of her. "Shepard. How may I help?"

"You've been in the lab for a long time. You up for a little social gathering?" Shepard asks. "Our latest mission involves going undercover to this party to get intel on this corporation. You should come along, you're quite eloquent and good at absorbing information."

"Oh. Sure you need me?" Mordin asks. "Not really soiree material."

"You sure? Because you're pretty charming to me. And you've got a nice smile." Shepard says leaning on the table.

Mordin keeps himself under control and tries not to act flustered. "R-Regardless, need to focus on work now. Wouldn't be good to tear away from it."

Shepard sighs. "But you've been in this lab for weeks. I can tell that you're getting more jittery than usual. And EDI tells me that your mind seems to be elsewhere."

Mordin narrows his eyes. Damn tattling AI.

"Look if the answer is no, then I'll respect that. But please step outside the lab once in a while."

"Why do you care?" Mordin asks suddenly, perhaps a bit more coldly than he intended. "After what I said before... About not being interested in that way."

Shepard looks affronted, nearly prompting Mordin to apologize, but then she chuckles. "Doesn't matter. I'll always be worried about you. Because my feelings for you aren't just sexual." She turns to leave, leaving Mordin stunned.

He thinks he knows everything, but the complexity of humans always tend to perplex Mordin. Despite everything, she still cares for him. It makes no sense, and yet it's rather compelling.

"Wait." Mordin peeks out the door, getting Shepard's attention. "Black tie, I'm assuming?"

Whump Kiss Prompt: Semiconscious Kiss or Kiss with Frost Bitten Lips.

Nygmobblepot, good lord it's been a while since I wrote for these two.

Oswald paces back and forth, eyes darting back and forth but always landing on his centerpiece, the frozen Edward Nygma. The pacing hurts his leg, but he cannot sit still, his heart is racing. It's been months since he's had Victor Fries frozen him, as a reminder to all who dare go against him. He should be feeling proud of himself everytime he looks at him, but instead, he feels his stomach turn.

Oswald feels an irrational hatred. But not towards Eddie. Eddie was his best...and only... friend he's ever had. He loved him. But he didn't love him back. He killed his girlfriend so he only gets Eddie's attention but Eddie attempted to kill him.

Oswald hates how if he never even looked at his girlfriend, they'd probably would still be friends. He hates how despite everything they have done to each other, he still loves Eddie.

He hates how he's in the wrong.

He grabs a flamethrower from behind the bar counter, as all bar counters should have one.

He's going to regret this.

He walks towards the Edsicle.

Soooo going to regret this.

He raises the flamethrower and puts it on the lowest setting he could. He begins thawing out Eddie. Ice morphs into liquid as it falls to the ground pooling around Oswald's four grand shoes. He finds himself caring less and less. Evnetually Eddie gains freedom in his upper torso and then soon after, his legs are free, the gangly green clad man collapsing on the ground.

"Eddie!" Oswald carelessly tosses the flamethrower aside and runs to him. "You better be alive, you moron!" He puts his hands on his cheeks. Even wearing gloves, they're so cold. Oswald pumps his chest a couple of times and Edward coughs up water, and begins to breath much to the Penguin's relief.

"Eddie! Thank god!" He kisses the man who is barely conscious, lips feeling cold to the touch, and white to the sight. Oswald nuzzles his pointed nose on his. "Eddie I'm so sorry..."

The moment gets ruined when Edward's eyes shoot up and he reaches up and strangles Oswald around the neck.

Aaaah VarSo! Always a fun one! At first this was going to be human AU but I went against it.

It’s just a bit confusing why one would hide their faces in a Castle With No Secrets. 

But I did my best! 

Warnings: mentions of skin rot, unrequited crush (poor SkekVar), slight OOC. 

SkekSo feels the pain in his chest as he watches his hand deteriorate even further. He leans on the door to his chambers, and puts his head in his hand, ripping off the nose guard. He cannot stop now, he’s in too deep within the Darkening, using it to gain power, but in return, his body rots. He can tell with the crevices of his face that it’s gotten worse and worse. He hasn’t told anyone of this with the exception of...

“Sire.” SkekVar walks up and bows. “Awaiting your orders.”

SkekVar. Loyalty is a scarce commodity amongst Skeksis, but the General would do anything for his leader. Out of genuine loyalty, as opposed to the fear he instilled in his fellow Skeksis. Despite that, SkekSo sometimes wonders why he trusted such...Vulnerable information to the bumbling, bullheaded General.

SkekSo looks at SkekVar and notices the way he looks at him. He gave him that information and the loudmouth has spoken nothing of it to the other Skeksis. He showed how he rots, and he still bows to him.

It makes SkekSo sick to his stomach.

A sound picks up on his ears, communication between the Ritual Master and the Chamberlain. Not in the mood to deal with those leeches, SkekSo grabs SkekVar and kisses him as they walk up. The General is shocked but he doesn’t pull away. Just as SkekSo sees the shocked faces of the Ritual Master and the Chamberlain, he pulls the brute into his chambers with him and shuts the door.

SkekVar gapes his maw at him, causing SkekSo to roll his eyes. “Don’t stare. You’re the only one I allow to see me like this…” SkekVar’s face goes from shock to slight disappointment and resignation. “Very well, my lord. If that is all…”

SkekVar was about to put his hand on the door handle, when SkekSo growled. “Did I say you could leave, General?”

SkekVar once again looks at him with those confounded eyes. SkekSo raises his finger as he sits on the bed and beckons him to come closer, which he gladly complies.

Yes. SkekVar’s loyalty gives SkekSo quite an advantage.

Ahhh SkekTek just never wants to cooperate with me, he never does. 

So I had SkekUng show such frustration. 

It’s an interesting challenge writing for ships I’m not used to c: 

Warnings: Possessive behavior, rough affection, a loss of limb (not because of one of the two parties, but because one of the parties couldn’t control the Garthim) implied Ung/Tek/Na

SkekTek could feel himself nearly dozing off at his desk. As much as it pains him to admit, this amount of work was easy to manage when he had those assistants. But they kept on disappearing. Either dying, pretending to die to get away from the Skeksis, attacking SkekTek which CAUSED them to die… It’s all very infuriating.

SkekTek looks at the bandaged stump where his leg used to be. The Garthim he was working on lost control and ripped off his leg. As he works on his desk on his replacement, a feeling of humiliation reaches his way up to him. He created these creatures, and he cannot control them. He received no sympathy from his brethren, in fact, unsurprisingly, most of them laughed. Mockingly.

He wouldn’t be surprised if word has reached…

Before he could finish that thought, someone grabs him by the carapace and lifts him up like a sack of potatoes. “You’re coming with me,” SkekUng growls, dragging SkekTek without much fight from the Scientist, to the Garthim-Master’s room.

SkekTek is hoisted up, and tossed on the bed. He looks around noticing the lack of their usual third partner. “No SkekNa…?” “He’s training.” SkekUng growls, laying over him, looking anything but pleased. “I told you that I wanted to oversee any Garthim handling, and you IGNORED me. If I was in the room, you’d still have your leg. WHY didn’t you tell me?”

“I created them, I SHOULD have better control over them…” SkekTek mutters.

“Clearly you don’t. You think I enjoy seeing the bird-brains getting ripped limb from limb?! I thought you were smarter about this!” “I beg your pardon,  but I was the only one keeping the Skeksis alive while you were away!” SkekTek snarls. “You think you can---Mmmph!” SkekTek is cut off by a rough kiss from SkekUng. He feels himself going meeker. Of course. The only one who has tamed SkekNa, much as he loathes to admit it. It’s futile to fight against him.

SkekUng parts and looks at him. “No biting remark. Hmph. I liked it better when you were fighting.” But that didn’t stop him from kissing him roughly again and clawing his arms possessively.

Could you do a SkekSa/UrSan tearful kiss? It feels like their ship is ripe with angst.

Whump Kisses (CLOSED) 

Aaaah this one was really tough because I don’t write for these two, AND I have yet to reach the book they both star in, so I dooon’t really know their dynamic. Someone did tell me a little tidbit about UrSan having a Cabin in the mountains that SkekSa knows about soooo... I hope you like it! : D

With the Gelfling having betrayed her, SkekSa has felt truely alone. Her little Windsifter came back with a note from SkekNa, saying that they called him back after having him isolated for many trine. And now they want her back as well. SkekSa crumples the note in her hand. Of course they want her back, they only want her knowing how weak they’ve become!

She snarls and makes her way to the Claw Mountains, having nowhere else to go. She reaches a cabin that gives her a sense of comfort, which is a rarity. She barges in without even knocking, however that doesn’t startle her other half.

“Please, come in.” UrSan the Swimmer softly says.

SkekSa gruffs and lays on the bed they often share. She grumbles in the pillow.

UrSan knows better than to bring up the Gelfling’s betrayal. SkekSa has quite a temper, one that UrSan has learned to tiptoe around as the trine went on.

“...There’s nowhere on Thra I can be, UrSan.” SkekSa groans. “Not even my fellow Skeksis… I can’t return to them, knowing that the Emperor is going to use me.”

UrSan prepares a pot of tea for the both of them. “...I visited the Crystal Sea…”

‘You hate the desert.” SkekSa points out.

“...That is where SkekGra and UrGoh have made their roost…”

SkekSa looks up. “...So the rumors are true. They’re truly together.”

“Yes…” UrSan whispers.

“...Why don’t we follow their example?” SkekSa asks.

“What…?”

“Reunification. We could...Try helping them.”

“SkekSa….You know we can’t...It’s not our time… I tried telling them the same thing but they won’t listen to me…” “But we have no choice!” SkekSa says, tears welling up in her eyes. “We don’t have a choice… Please… I want… I want to be with you.” “No...You just don’t want to be alone…” UrSan says. “You don’t have a choice… But I can return to the Mystics any time I want…” “TO GROT WITH THAT! Gah! Why can’t you listen to your instincts?! Why can’t you muster a sense of compassion?! You Mystics are all the same!” UrSan puts her hands on her cheeks, wiping her tears away. She kisses her on the lips, softly, calmingly.

“Our instincts are vastly different, SkekSa…” UrSan whispers into her mouth. “I’ll be with you… But we cannot try to reunify… Please understand…” SkekSa looks at her in surprise and her face morphs into anger. “Grot. No one can understand.” She storms out of the cabin, leaving UrSan alone.

“...She’ll see sense…” UrSan tries to convince herself. “She….She will…”
