FACT: jennifer lawrence poisoned rebecca romijn to get the role of “mystique” in x-men

actress jennifer lawrence, known for her roles in the hunger games and various cookie-cutter movies, was allegedly arrested this week for poisoning rebecca romijn. both women have played mystique in sony’s x-men cinematic universe, but j-law was hoping to steal the role back in 2005 before the production of x-men: the last stand. evidence has surfaced that lawrence slipped small doses of iocane powder into romijn’s drinks for over a year with the hope that the poison would slowly kill romijn. iocane, a highly toxic and imperceptible substance found only in Australia, usually kills at the touch but can be withstood in minute amounts. instead of suffering from the toxins, romjin actually built up an immunity to the powder over time, which was detected by doctors after some recent bloodwork.

FACT: actor gary sinise was actually missing both of his legs when he filmed “forrest gump”

in the popular cult-classic movie forrest gump, the character lieutenant dan, played by gary sinise, loses his legs in the vietnam war. although it would seem that gary sinise’s legs were edited out of scenes after lieutenant dan lost his legs, they were actually edited in for earlier scenes in the movie. sinise lost both of his legs in a highly embarrassing accident involving a wendy’s baconator. no one knows what happened exactly, and most people had no clue that it had happened at all until recently. sinise hid his injuries for years by using stilts. the only time other people saw him without the stilts was for the filming of forrest gump. pictures of sinise in blue stockings, like the one above, were manufactured and released to both promote the movie and cover up the actor’s situation. “i was never embarrassed about the possibility of being seen with a disability,” sinise said, “i just couldn’t have people asking me how it happened.” the actor finally told the press about his situation when he started his very own charity for those with physical disabilities. sinise himself, however, is no longer disabled, as he has grown his legs back since the accident.

FACT: drummer chad smith plays the main character in “daddy’s home”

contrary to popular belief, will ferrell does not appear in the 2015 family comedy daddy’s home or its sequel, daddy’s home 2. the character of brad is actually played by will-ferrell-impersonator chad smith. smith is also a drummer for a small jazz band called red hot chili peppers, but he is mostly known for falsely impersonating his celebrity lookalike, will ferrell. when asked if he had anything to do with daddy’s home (or its sequel), ferrell responded, “are you kidding me? come on. i have standards.” to this day, ferrell’s statement confounds those who have read the majority of his filmography.

FACT: deleted scene from “back to the future” shows doc brown f***ing marty mcfly

in a rare, newly-surfaced, never-before-seen clip from robert zemeckis’ cult classic back to the future, doc brown f***s marty mcfly during one of his scientific experiments. when asked why the scene was removed, zemeckis popped an explanation. “it just didn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the movie, and it kind of caused some issues with pacing,” he said. “besides, it makes sense for marty to f*** doc during the experiment, but the other way around? i honestly don’t remember why i tried to shoot it like that.” the scene in question takes place in marty’s back yard, making it even more unclear as to how exactly zemeckis planned on working the deleted scene into the movie. christopher lloyd, who plays the top role of doc brown, actually wishes the scene had been left in. “i think it would have added a lot of depth to both mine and michael (j. fox)’s characters,” he said. “the scene shows how strong this unlikely bond between an old scientist and his young assistant really is. it was really fun to film, too.”

FACT: avatar 2 will come out in december 2021

james cameron’s avatar, the second-highest-grossing film of all time, is finally receiving its obligatory cash-cow sequel, which is set to release in just a year and a half. avatar 2, which was announced in 2010 and originally set to come out in 2014, has been reportedly undergoing an exceptionally smooth and untroubled production over the last decade. “we did have to push back our release date a couple of times. we had to for the new star wars trilogy, but that was totally worth it considering what a smashing success those movies were. especially the last jedi,” says cameron. the director is absolutely, one-hundred percent certain that this thrilling sequel will indeed be completely ready for its scheduled release. cameron is also highly confident in the film’s future success in the box office, as he currently plans on releasing three more movies in the franchise after avatar 2. avatar 5 is scheduled to be released in 2027.

FUN FACT: disney’s “toy story” quadrilogy is based on a true story

in the early nineties, disney knew it wanted to make the very first fully competor-animated movie, but the company was out of ideas for a story until ceo mike eisner’s young son, anders, told his father he believed his toys were coming to life. thinking his son was just playing pretend, mike made his young son’s imaginitive idea come to life with toy story. “andy,” the main child’s name in toy story, is short for “anders.” the movie was a hit, but anders continued to complain about his toys going missing or moving to places they were not left before. unlike in toy story, anders slowly became scared of the toys, which he eventually claimed were moving, sometimes violently, before his very eyes. eisner did not believe him and took no action. on june 31, 1997, anders was found dead in his room, clutching his stuffed monkey. despite the boy being alone in the locked house with no signs of breaking and entering, the cause of death was strangulation.

FACT: dan aykroyd “accidentally” ran over 54 illinois nazis in the bluesmobile while filming blues brothers

the actors for the main illinois nazis scene were not real nazis, but dan aykroyd and john belushi came across a separate group of real illinois nazis before filming it. for the scene, aykroyd was suppose to drive towards the actor nazis on the bridge. instead, he drove off course and hit the nearby group of real nazis. both belushi and aykroyd denied mixing up the two groups of nazis, stating that they were simply doing the state of illinois a service.

FACT: harold ramis almost refused to make ghostbusters 2 because actors were no longer supplied with free twinkies

FACT: as a prank, martin mull (colonel mustard) told tim curry (wadsworth) that he would have to do a nude scene with madeline kahn (mrs. white) for clue: the movie. though skeptical at first, curry agreed to appear naked on set. however, when he saw kahn’s disturbed reaction, curry realized it was a prank and tried to play it off, saying, “i choose to expose myself.” this became a running joke with the cast and was eventually worked into the script for the movie.
