I sing Lizzo songs out loud a lot, and FINALLY I caught my bf humming "Good as Hell". I started giggling and now he's frustrated trying to figure out what I'm giggling about.

When it comes to not giving a fuck, there's a difference between...
You not giving a fuck about other people..
And
Not giving a fuck about what others think of you...
Do the second one.
You can't control how the world treats you, so don't worry about it, but you can control how you treat the world, so you should care.

Movie Night Basket, under $15!
Movie Night Gift Basket for a Wedding Shower! This cost $12.
Being a bridesmaid can get expensive, but I have found there are easy ways to make everything special for the bride while also feeling comfortable with how much you are spending.
The Maid of Honor asked us to each bring a themed basket for the winners of games at the Shower. I chose Movie Night!
The Bride loves popcorn so I almost feel bad that I am not giving this to her. But it was designed with her spirit in mind!
I went to a Dollar Tree, the dollar store where everything is ACTUALLY a dollar (unlike Dollar General, Family Dollar, etc.) Here is what I found...
Lrg Popcorn Tub - $1
Set of Two Sm Popcorn Tubes - $1
Red & Silver Filling - $1
Sno-Caps, Nerds, Whoppers, Mini Chips Ahoy, Mini Oreos, 3 pack Cracker Jacks, 3 pack Kettle Corn, 3 pack Extra Butter Popcorn - $1 each
Weird Dollar Store DVD that sounded funny enough and wedding related called ”Afternoon Delight”, which features a strippers pole on the front - $1
And if you are into math you will notice that equals $12 and my receipt says $13.05 - that is because my boyfriend can’t leave a store with out grabbing a soda (and in NY you pay a $0.05 bottle deposit.
So there you go! The Maid of Honor asked no one to spend over $30, and I was able to spend less than half of that and feel like I am bringing something really fun to the event!

I need more of this. Keep reminding me.
“the sky doesn’t burn like it used to. the poets have lost their touch. no one dreams anything new. we blamed the web and our cells. we made no attempt to escape. there’s really no proof this is killing the light in you. our bars are full. battery’s charged. when did it get so dark?”

He has always been the Sun.
I dreamt i was by your side as you suffered. On my knees crying. Holding your hand, trying to help. I imagined myself as Mary, and your suffering as the crucifixion. It was then that I realized this... He has always been the Sun. Peaceful and warm. He brought us together. Too humble to see the savior he carried in himself. We followed his words. Caught on every last breath and point. He carried no heirs yet could be placed on a throne. And now here he is. Believing it is time for his ultimate sacrifice. His crucifixion. For him to walk the hill of Jerusalem with a burden his own to carry. What he doesn't see is that the true purpose of his struggle is rebirth. A new light. A new Sun.

Series: Old notes from my phone, 12/16/18, Did I ever show you this?
This was written for my friend who, among many other things, taught me not to fear religious symbols, but to embrace them into my own spirituality. Religious symbols are meant to bring help and peace. When we give them negative connotations we are only preventing ourselves from embracing the healing and comfort they can offer when we change our mindset.
I am also glad to say that this friend has, for now, risen out of that dark place and is seeing his place in the new light.

I don’t know how this human knew that these are fairy wings... He must be part mythical creature. I bet he’s a dragon.
