MØ. DON'T WANNA DANCE. OFFICIAL VIDEO.
Even in destruction you can find creativity. Or else a girl on fire dancing in front of a car compactor with a 90s reminiscent pink furry coat. Yep, MØ did it again but you wouldn't expect anything less from this thriving artist by now. The official clip to MØ's most recent single Don't Wanna Dance is hourfresh and has us waiting more impatiently then ever for her debut LP to be released later next month.

BIBIO. DYE THE WATER GREEN.
A few days ago we spoke about UK producer Bibio's aka Stephen Wilkinson's upcoming release The Green EP. Now we are treated to some highly psychedelic visual content Wilkinson created with video artist Michael Robinson. Think about "tripping" on a walk through very pixelated nature - you get the idea. But see for yourselves.

MØ. DON'T WANNA DANCE.
Tumblr media
Our girl MØ is back with new jam and a release date for her long awaited debut LP! No Mythologies To Follow will be out on February 24, 2014. But that's not all. MØ's most recent release Don't Wanna Dance premiered on BBC Radio 1's legendary Zane Lowe as Hottest Record In The World last Friday. The track's one hell of a jump-around anthem so don't let the title fool you - you will dance as much as you can to it, if you want it or not. One and a half years after first dropping her very debut single Maiden on YouTube, MØ has evolved from a blogosphere wave-making artist to one of the most promising acts in 2014 ready to stir up an indie pop tsunami. I guess that's what you get for being a firecracker both, on stage and in person.
Also you can watch our interview with MØ right here.

BIBIO. DOWN TO THE SOUND.
Tumblr media
It hasn't even been a year since UK producer Bibio provided us with an inspiring soundtrack to our spring in the form of his LP Silver Wilkinson. You might remember the soul-relieving melody of À tout à l'heure. Good news is Bibio is back. In fact he's dropping a whole new EP called The Green EP on January 27. Down To The Sound is the second song to be featured on the release next to Dye The Water Green. Bibio's upcoming EP promises to be a bit more melancholic and sceptic than last year's work. Yet, the producer proves that he can easily switch between moods, juggling emotions to their very limit whether they're positive or negative. Music is one of the most cathartic means we have and Bibio's tracks make that even clearer.

KWABS. WRONG OR RIGHT (PRODUCED BY SOHN).
Tumblr media
We introduced you to Kwabs' million-dollar-voice last October. Back then he had just released his first SOHN-produced track Last Stand and so had triggered our curiosity for much more. Indeed much more is soon to come, on February 3 namely, when the soul artist releases his debut EP Wrong Or Right. Alongside Last Stand and the Soundcloud-debut-track Spirit Fade the EP will feature the title-giving Wrong Or Right, the second track produced by Vienna-based Londoner SOHN. In contrast to Kwabs' previous releases, Wrong Or Right is an up-tempo and very danceable track thereby proving that there is more than one facet to this rapidly emerging newcomer.

NAOMI PILGRIM. MONEY.
Tumblr media
Our ears first made friends with Naomi Pilgrim after her debut track No Gun dropped on Soundcloud three months ago. Call it love at first hearing. Duh. Anywho Naomi here has some serious goals set for 2014. For instance, she is releasing her debut EP Naomi Pilgrim on February 3. The beautiful Swedish resident with roots from Barbados (shout out to Rihanna) has the best predicaments to be successful. Perhaps the most distinctive characteristic about her music are the electrifying hints of Carribean sound blended into the already groovy mix of drums, guitar riffs and crafty electronic beats. You might say that Naomi creates her very own musical climate, bringing some West Indian heat into the Scandinavian coolness. Money is a Lady cover and she pulls it off more than well.

CHILDISH GAMBINO. THE WORST GUYS (FEAT. CHANCE THE RAPPER)
Artists putting out a promising LP at the end of every year constitute a tiny problem for all sorts of music and culture bloggers meaning to sum up one year's great impressions in a sort of a best-of-list. Especially when you are dealing with newcomers like Childish Gambino you're in some sort of mess. Do you put him on the Best Of 2013 list or the Watch Out 2014 list? But then again, it really doesn't matter. Donald Glover's rapper-alter-ego delivered some really memorable stuff in 2013 AND with his debut LP Because The Internet he is set to deliver much more in 2014.
The first single to drop this year is Glover's cooperation with breakthrough hip hop artist Chance The Rapper (he might be the Sound of 2014 according to the BBC). Worst Guys is this kind of track whose repetitive chorus far from getting on your nerves lures you into this chill easy going mood where you can't but relax and surrender to waves of unexpected optimism. The setting of the video couldn't have been chosen any better.

L'AUBERGE ESPAGNOLE IS BACK WITH A THIRD FILM SET IN NYC
Remember L'Auberge espagnole? The film that inspired generations of European students to take advantage of the ERASMUS program and have the best study time ever in a new country with new friends? Well that film had a sequel called Les Poupees Russes back in 2005 and now there comes Casse-tête Chinois the franchise's third installment. This time protagonist Xavier (Romain Duris) is struggling with divorce and following ex-wife Wendy (we/he first met her back in Barcelona) and his two children all the way to New York City. The film will be released in France on December 4. Bref, we found the trailer very amusing!
Also French producer, rapper and DJ wonderman 20Syl aka the guy that shaped French Trip - and Hip Hop with collectives Hocus Pocus and C2C is contributing a little piece of his magic to the film's original soundtrack. Here goes:
