I hurt...Then I keep on.
Tumblr media
Today was hard for me. I was in excruciating pain. My right ovary was inflamed. It made me seem bloated. It hurt to sit and stand. It hurt take a deep breath. But... I had to work my 8 hours for the day. Get them over with. It was the last Friday before Thanksgiving break. I loaded my body with pain killers, Gabapentin, and anti-inflammatory’s, The pain meds help a little. It is hard to focus, I get nervous talking to people because the meds make me dizzy. I stare through them instead of at them. I start to lean to one side when I walk because the room is spinning. I get through my hours and arrive home. The only one that knows is my husband. Who helps me to lay down. I sleep until 9pm. And wake up disorientated and tired. My body is drained from fighting all day. Nobody knows what I’ve been through. Nobody knows I battled endometriosis today. Nobody sees the battle wombs beneath my dress. This is a day in the life of a Endo Warrior.

Endometriosis and being newly Vegan!
Tumblr media
I have been vegan for about a month now. My body surprised me. I started my cycle a few days ago, and while I had the normal cramps. I was not in the usual pain. I was tired and fatigued. But I made it through the week. I like to think my new vegan diet had something to do with it. I want to live a normal and healthy life. I want to be happy. I was always so dreadful of my periods. This cycle though gave me hope. I can be normal like everyone else, I just have to sacrifice a little more and try a little harder. I now feel like my body is my temple, and not a tomb.
