Did tamlin say there were no highladys? Yes. But that is all it was, feyre asked if she would be highlady, tamlin said no, bc there's no such thing as a highlady.
What he didn't say was 'absolutely the fuck not you weak little female you can't be highlady bc it will make me look bad.'
It's not like feyre demanded or even pushed the issue, she laid back down and kept letting tamlin eat her out.
But in serious from tamlins perspective feyre didn't push the issue any further, she asked about her position after she married him, he explained and she seemed fine with the answer.

I’m trying to write with common romance fantacy tropes but adding a twist to it to make it fresh so I started with the “shadow daddy” character.
Popular characters that fall into this trope are rhysand and Azriel from acotar, xaden from fourth wing, probably casteal from blood and ash and my personal favorite daemon from the black jewels trilogy.
They’re usually traumatized, in some form of power over there love interest or older usually both, (in daemons case he was enslaved by his love interests family) they also usually have some form of shadow themed powers and black hair with tattoos.
My first thought was ‘why not make this character a woman?’ From what I can tell there’s no reason I couldn’t give a female character these traits so….
Shadow mommy
I think that she’d be very charismatic and also appear easy going until something upsets her. Following the theme she would also be older than her love interest, probably also more powerful too. She would have a very small group of people that she truly trusts.

Can we just imagine for a second that the break up letter feyre sent Tamlin had some secret message telling him to send help and save her, like imagine him pulling up to the high lords meeting with that instead of embarrassing himself and being an ass.
Feyre: I sent a letter telling you everything, I didn’t want you coming after me!
Tamlin:*digs through his pocket and whips out her letter* oh you mean this letter.
Feyre: Yes that letter that explicitly said I was fine.
Tamlin: *passes the letter to tarquin* tarquin please, TRY to read this.
Tarquin: umm yeah okay. *opens the letter* … *flips the letter over* … oh no I had it right the first time! *Flips it over again.*
Tarquin: *clears throat*
deer tamelan,
I wont U too know I don’t
Need to be saved, I don’t wont Ur
Help. I know that U did luv me,
Plese try to undestand.
sen my frends Alis and
Lucyin my regards.
Sinserly feyre.
Tarquin: I mean… the first word of every line does say, ‘dear I need help send Lucien…’
Tamlin: see!

I thought of a counter to the argument "tamlin didn't teach feyre to read but rhys did"
Um yeah because feyre said she didn't want too in the first book before they went under the mountain and then after yeah tamlin didn't ask again but feyre had literally just gotten free after being held captive and tortured! Of course no one was going 'hey you wanna learn how to read now?' Right after that happened and especially after her not being able to read nearly got her and lucien killed.
even later feyre was so fucked up and depressed she couldn't plan her own wedding! She was so tired and exhausted and yes at this point tamlin should have checked in with her should have asked her what she needed him to do but that doesn't mean teaching her to read, that wasn't even on her radar.
I've seen some arguments that's that tamlin didn't teach her because he wanted her to be dependent on him but i don't think that's the case. If tamlin wanted her to be dependent on him he wouldn't have allowed her to be so reliant on ianthe or be so close to lucien or alis, both of which would have taught her if she asked,(lucien especially quickly). If feyre had asked tamlin he probably wouldn't be able to do it himself but he would have found someone to teach her.
He'll I'm not even sure we should count rhysand teaching her to read as totally pure since he wanted her to read the book of breathing before he found out it was written in freaky angel language.
This isn't me saying tamlin is an angel like he has some flaws but he isn't a monster he's just complicated like rhys the issue is that tamlin got complicated after Sarah j mass got tired of writing him.

One thing that I don't get is how rhys can hold tamlin kissing feyre under the mountain against tamlin? Like what was he meant to do rhys? Like yeah it was stupid but what else was he meant to do? No one had a way to get out it was never said that tamlin knew a way to get or was told a plan to help get her out, all tamlin knew was that he's watched who he thinks is the love of his life suffer, be beaten and nearly killed and drugged by his mortal enemy for atleast a month all the while not being able to show any kind of emotion in fear of making it all worse for hrt and this very well might be the very last time he gets to show her any affection or love because he's been basically chained to amaranta's hip. I just wish that tamlin haters would stop bring that up as a main point. Like literally no one under that mountain could get out that was the point and like literally anyone including rhys had a better chance of getting her out than tamlin.
(This isn't me saying there are no very valid reasons to dislike tamlins character but holding this against him is just beating the rotting horse)

Okay so these are just some little comic sketches I did for a scene in that Tamlin pregnancy fic I’m writing. I know my handwriting is dogshit and so is my spelling please be nice I’m dyslexic.
This is like part one if you will and actually has little to do with the actual baby but rather it’s Tamlin explaining to Tarquin why he treated fever the way he did. Again very bare bones sketches I just needed to get it out of my system.

Tamlin and potential tamlin baby?
I just think tamlin would be a good dad once he gets some thearapy in him.
And if the baby was named after andras that would be perfect and if he happens to look a little bit like tarquin it's a coincidence.
Or it isn't and I wrote a tamlin mpreg fic were tamlin gets pregnant by the spirit of spring personified so he can save his dying magic and works through his trauma and exepts responsibility for the wrong he's done in an effort to be the father his son deserves all the while falling in love with tarquin who has been the only high lord willing to help him rebuild his court....
So basically I wrote a fanfic called waterlillys and lotus blooms that takes place along side nesta x eris fic I'm also writing...

I'm sorry you not gonna convince me that LOA and helion arnt gonna be whoring across the day court when they finally get together. The only thing that gonna change is that now is that their flirting with cassain, azriel, and mor TOGETHER. But honestly that probably improves helions chances, have you seen LOA?
Well... i mean we haven't but we can assume from eris she's fucking drop dead gorgeous.
What? You thought eris got his looks from beron?

My "excuse for the way rhysand acted in a court of silver flames is that he was taking all of feyres pregnacy mood swings through the bond because he didn't want what was potentially her last few months alive to be miserable.
But that doesn't explain why he kept the truth about the pregnancy a secret, also how would feyre shifting her pelvis bigger hurt the baby? Especially if it was far along in the pregnancy when the baby isn't quite so sensitive and delicate, and I they thought she and the baby would die then why not take the chance before attempting to cut her open?
Tldr I hate a court of silver flames and the only reason I'm still reading this series is because I'm holding out for azriel x elaine. Sorry lucien.

The funniest thing about acotar is that apparently people think rhysand is cut out to rule all of prythaian, like rhys can barely control the court he has now, he can barely enforce a wing cutting ban, he has so little control over 2 thirds of his court, say what you will about Tammy but atleast the spring court isn't known for two thirds of it committing horrible atrocious things to women, like yeah theres no high lady but I would rather have that then women be mutilated or assaulted and forced to live in darkness.
I think if rhys had a smaller court or was just ruling over velaris he would be a great highlord and I think he'd be a better ruler because of it but he just can't seem to handle the court he has now even with Mor and Cassian helping him.

Okay so we all know about female body types in comics and animation isn't great. But let's talk about men in DC comics because i'm pretty sure most of them are on a spectrum between "lean with a six pack" to "buff with a six pack"
Or youre a "scrawny teenager who will grow up and have a six pack"
like superman okay he's supose to be strong I guess.
Bruce? He's a human trying to keep up with super humans.
But then you look at other guys in the league and I specifically wanna talk about is the lanterns.
Hal and John are ex military so yeah they'd probably be fit.
But then you look at guy and Kyle and Simon who don't really need to be buff with a six pack.
Specifically kyle who was an art student in LA. Why would he be buff? The guy was probably surviving off Ramen noodles and the dollar menu at taco bell?
Why do all of the adult male characters look like they could be models? Yeah for the female characters it's bad it's not much better for the male characters.

Okay so you're telling me that out of the main four green lanterns are veterans, one a social worker and the other is... a artschool drop out?
Okay but imagine this conversation between the four of them.
John:so what branches of the military did you two serve in?
Guy: wtf are you talking about?
John: what branch did you serve in? I was a marine, hal was air force what about you.
Guy: I didn't serve in the military, I was a gym teacher for special needs children.
John: really?
Guy: yeah and before that I was a social worker for children with special needs and parolees.
John: huh, I wasn't expecting that from you.
John: what about you Kyle?
Kyle: *swallows nervous* I went to art school before dropped out to design greeting cards.
John and guy: ...
Kyle: I don't why I'm here either! I guess it was just slim pickings for veterans and over worked social workers!

Hey so if you like kon from the 90s young justice comics and those character dies and is reborn in a nicer dimension story's you might like this story.
The author could have put more care into it. (It's me I wrote it)
And I'm thinking of rewrite it entirely because it's been a good few months and I wrote myself into a corned with Billy's fic and that boy deserves better. But it's like 55k words so I like to think it could atleast be entertaining 😅.
Here's the summary.
Kon has been treated worse than crap for his whole four years of life, when his justice league throws him in a kryptonite room as a punishment he dies of kryptonite poisoning.
he died so it was a bit of a surprise when he came back as a six-year-old in a different universe.
