Just rewatched the third season of owl house, be ready for a slew of posts

My sister is reading Percy Jackson for the first time and it’s great because I get to see her as she cries over Nico going from a sunshine character to a depressed and angry kid who doesn’t begin to truly get better until two series later.

I get to watch as she cries when Nico is told he can’t summon Bianca any more, as she reads about her telling Nico he’s actually angry with her- Percy was never at fault.

I get to watch her faun over Percy’s feeling for Annabeth, gush about Annabeth kissing him, then cry over Rachel entering the playing field.

I get to watch as she squeals over Annabeth and Tyson making Percy a birthday cake, and Annabeth being Percy’s tether when he gains the curse of Achilles. How she takes a stab for him, blindly, how he raises a charge against Kronos’s army simply because of that.

I get to watch her when she reads about Percy denying immortality for Annabeth- and when Annabeth does the same for him.

I may not be able to read the series again for the first time, but I can watch someone else do it.

Can you imagine how the world’s perception of Bakugou would change if one or more of his kindergarten classmates with ‘hero-like quirks’ were afraid of fireworks? Or better yet had a bad encounter with fireworks, leading to them or some they know getting hurt?

Bakugou wouldn’t’ve been seen as a powerful kid fit to be a hero, he would have been seen as a danger.

Not to mention with his pride, he would try to prove to his classmates his quirk isn’t dangerous and he can be a hero with a dangerous quirk. And his classmates might panic, because he’s using the ‘dangerous quirk’ around them, leading to someone accidentally getting hurt in the confusion. It could just be something small, but it would lead to Bakugou being labeled a villain.

This, of course would change his relationship with Izuku. And it could grow into a stable friendship, or it could lead to a toxic one, where they hangout because they only have each other, except they each hate the other.

I see the good relationship going like this: Izuku provides someone to hangout with along with quirk analysis so Bakugou doesn’t hurt someone again (bro be scarred), and Bakugou keeps the bullies from him and is someone to hangout with.

I can also see Bakugou hating or have feelings against Izuku in either situation, simply because he has to get advice from ‘quirkless Deku(?)’ just to control his quirk.

Or you could go a with a slightly different route, (that I personally like better), where Bakugou thinks he’s the high and mighty one in the relationship, and keeps bullies from beating Izuku, and uses his quirk analysis, but Izuku is the one in control. And he’s using Bakugou to test quirk theories and what not and lets Bakugou talk down on him to manipulate him. (This reminds me of a fic I read but I don’t remember the name, so if you feel like the last part is familiar, that’s probably why.)

Anyways, yeah.

The Gorg is Alien Batman. Just. Without Alfred.

The Gorg is intimidating in costume, much like Batman.

The Gorg is sweet and dad-looking outside of costume, just like Brucie Wayne.

The Gorg turned to violence when he lost his children, I think Batman gets more violent when his children get hurt. (Not to mention the whole thing with Jason, where it got to the point where Tim stepped in because Batman was being too violent.)

I know there’s more, I can’t think of it now.

Anyone else just randomly zone out into an almost sleep state but you’re still taking in the world around you and it’s like you can now see through the illusion that is reality, into all things magical, until one thing in particular catches your attention and just before you start to inspect it, you are pulled out of the world you deem Wonderland, wondering if it was not meant to be or if you just got to close?
