so Icy Betch smells like vanilla cookies and conjures up a very specific 90s bitch image. and there's literal vanilla in the ingredients, and vanilla orchid. this ish smells delicious. right on that vanilla/chocolate line. maybe supposed to be liek vanilla frosting?

i’m also hearing nisipisa in my head because of the hilarious verbiage on the back. oh man. anyway-

brows: elf palette + pencil, maybelline full n soft mascara eyes: tarte icy betch lashes: pat mcgrath fetisheyes top liner: nyx epic ink bottom liner: tarte sex kitten lip: pyt deja vu & rumor over colourpop friends.. and alissa ashley X elf in the middle blush: elf glowy rose contour: fenty truffle base: covergirl tru matte d50 over sunscreen concealer: makeup revolution c12 primer: UD all-nighter isn't much of a primer but there you go. 

I don't really wear looks like this but I thought I'd show off the palette! the look is a little random because i just pounced on my mail and wanted to play with it. hope someone else swatches it, no idea what i'm doing, but stick to brushes rather than fingers i think.

The amazonian clay (kaolin) is sort of an odd texture, but it turned out well in the end. I blended the edges with a neutral red brown, cuz it's 2019, and the edge turned greenish. i have to hand it to them for blendable shadows that meld into each other at least, even if they aren't buttery.

The shimmers are AWESOME wet, but can get a little difficult to place over layers of mattes just like other palettes.

I wet my lids with UD setting spray, put down a rough layer of white (which also isn't something i'd normally do but i've been watching some YT-ers do it and figured why not). the other mattes are directly on top of it with the bright green in the middle (dry then wet) with the horizonal blue as an underliner. i think i used every color to blend actually, including highlighter.. when i misted everything again, any chalkiness of the mattes melted away.

Firebird Summer Perfumes

Firebird's Blueberry Lavender is so intriguing! I went right for a full size and was rewarded. Hard to explain the way that they perfectly balance each other, it's like you hybridized both plants together.. in your mind ;) "blueberry nectar, iced black tea, fresh lemon, lavender buds" The light sweet refreshingness is a part of each note as well, and this is fresh out of the mailbox so I'm sure it'll only get better.

Watermelon Mint, Coconut Peach, and Pineapple Sugar are also lovely though maybe less complex!

The Strange South perfume - short review

I have to remember how The Strange South makes me like notes I don't usually ever even look at! I've settled on Damn, It’s Dark Down Here (Jasmine, vetiver, clary sage, damp soil, and coffin wood) and Once is Enough (Fig, sugarplums and black cherries, almond, frankincense, and star anise) for my favorites to wear today, but I wasn't even sure I liked cherry perfumes until right this second! It’s a very sultry and lush cherry scent, lovingly blended and even more interesting because I can't stand bitter notes in most perfumes. DIDDH is very accurate and less of a surprise to my preferences but the two do mix nicely :)

Honorable Mention to The Shell’s Here, But the Nut is Gone (Spilled honey (vegan), brown sugar, and cinnamon over apple skins and peanut dust) from this collection for being yummy and nice even though I'd guess most people don't think they want to smell peanutty. 

If You’re Reading This, Get a Hobby and Kay’s Fudge are also great scents, plus Darling from a previous release is a cool use of 'bitter pomegranate seeds' (along with violet, marshmallow fluff, and frost)!

Mixed all my foundations ;) wasn't bad! Kvd sort of killed the texture though I think
