Me, coming in with another of my insane Mammon theories: 💃🕺
(S3 Spoilers)
Hear me out guys:
1.) Mammon was under Michael's care before Lucifer took him in
2.) Mammon, as a demon, says that Michael's punishments were so bad that they still made him shake
3.) Mammon, as a demon, has gone through some insane punishments with Lucifer - with the whipping and tying upside down for hours on end probably being the most tame
4.) Despite this Mammon still continues with whatever actions lead to these punishments and though he's scared of a pissed off demon form Lucifer, he's not scared of Lucifer and even goes on to purposefully annoy Lucifer
Edit:
5.) Despite Mammon saying he holds no grudge against Michael he gets particularly (and unusually) cruel towards Luke when he keeps bringing him up on the train, in S3.
6.) After he realises something had happened to Simeon's powers in S4 he immediately brought up Michael as being the one behind it despite Simeon giving no indication as such
So the Question is - What exactly were Michael's punishments that they had more of an effect on Mammon even after thousands of years, while Lucifer's punishments from just last week don't stick?
5.) In Lesson 47-48 the brothers are trapped in a karaoke room and the only way to escape is to score a perfect 100 and for some reason or another all the brothers and Diavolo - with the exception of Levi & MC - fail and are sent to the "punishment room" which turns out to be a small, pitch black, soundproof closet where they're all packed up against each other. All of them seem to take this in stride. Except Mammon, who's screaming at Levi & MC and hoping they can hear him, yelling about being there, yelling at the others and asking them how they can be so calm, stuttering about how he can't breathe...
So what if the answer is - Isolation?
• The Celestial Realm is bright, with an eternal sun and sprawling woods/plains.
• Mammon, before he was taken in by Lucifer, was constantly told he would Fall if he kept acting out - presumably to the Devildom which was eternally dark and which was filled with demons - whom the angels were at war with and told are "wicked and evil"
• Mammon needs interaction. He's energetic and talkative and he doesn't like being ignored
• Since the angels seem to see themselves as being "above" demons they may consider physical punishments as being beneath them or too vulgar
So what if as punishment for his misdeeds Mammon was locked in a small, dark, isolated room for long periods of time?

One of the most significant things Satan tells MC in S1 is about the importance of knowledge and how it is power
And it very literally is power for Satan but not in the way you'd initially expect

It powers his sense of worth.
Or to expand on that^,
It gives him power over Lucifer.
Not to bring Lucifer down or humiliate him but to pull himself out of Lucifer's shadow.
To Satan, the more knowledge he has the more useful he is. The more useful he is the more it justifies his very existence.
Knowledge is something you can gain and build up and if he actively works to build that up he'll know more than Lucifer and so be able to provide answers for things Lucifer cannot and so he will be needed. He won't just be a stand in for Lucifer because he'd be able to provide a service Lucifer cannot

And that's -
That's so fucking sad

Okay here me out;
Canonically Satan was born right after the fall.
Canonically Mammon was the one who kept things together after the fall: looking after his younger brothers and stopping Lucifer from falling into a pit of self-doubt and self-hatred.
Canonically Mammon is good with kids.
Canonically Mammon’s the best at keeping his anger in check and controlling his change into his demon form.
Canonically despite being the personification of wrath Satan has the best control of his Sin compared with the other brothers and their sins, meaning he has a relatively good control of his anger.
Assumption: Mammon raised Satan after he was born (or played the biggest part in raising Satan at least until the others started moving on from the Fall).
Canonically Mammon makes the most trips to the Human World.
Canonically cats were previously only found in the Human World (until Satan brought a bunch to the Devildom)
Canonically Mammon and Satan both prefer cats.
CONCLUSION: MAMMON INTRODUCED SATAN TO CATS.

Glad to see Satan's edgy teen phase 👍
He's still going through his edgy teen phase he's just got better at covering it up now
Okay but seriously I love how they handled Satan in Nightbringer
Like of course he's like that
He just properly came into existence a year ago, the only thing he really knows how to be is angry, that's literally what created him, he doesn't know who he is as a person, he doesn't know what he is because there's no other being demon, angel or human like him, he doesn't belong anywhere because even his brothers didn't initially want him and only took him in because the Demon King asked them to and so he feels like he can't fit in properly with them or trust them
He's got to navigate this all on his own while trying to figure out who he is and how he can be a person seperate from Lucifer which is something he struggles with in the present as well since he still believes he needs to justify his existence and to do so he;
a.) needs to be different from Lucifer
b ) needs to provide something useful (knowledge)
both things he explicitly talks about in the og game.
It gives more context as to why he needs to justify his place in the family even in the present (because he wasn't initially accepted by them)
And it makes sense that this tightly knit traumatised family who had fought a war together and just lost a sibling wouldn't suddenly accept some newcomer as their new sibling.
It makes sense that it takes them a year to start accepting him and it makes sense that they still don't know how to handle him because no one's met anyone like Satan before.
It makes sense that Satan's marginally more open to MC, since;
1.) They're also a newcomer being forced to find a place in this family (which is easier for them than for him because they've already had a place in this family for years whether the othwrs know it or not)
2.) They're competent and knowledgeable and continuously prove their usefulness to the family which is something he understands
3.) They're literally the only being in existence who knows Satan, who knows who he is as a person, what he likes and what he'll become and who knows how to treat him in a way he'll appreciate
Also love how they show him with a cat for the first time;
• How he appreciates their independence and sees something of himself in them
• How it explains why, in the present, Satan calms down around cats- he was so angry and destructive for so long and then there's this little creature that fascinates him and if he ever wants to properly interact with it he'll need to learn to be patient and calm and gentle (which I spoke about before in a post but I really love that Nightbringer makes it more explicit)
I also really love how they show that, from all the brothers, Asmo is the one who starts reaching out to Satan and accepting despite how much Satan tries to fight it, because in the present they're really close and it's nice to see how that begins
+ Satan protesting while Asmo paints his nails for the first time and not realising that's Asmo's way of bringing him into the fold? 💯
Also love how Satan gets on so well with the angels. Love how the first demon Luke feels comfortable and friendly with is Satan. Love how Simeon is so kind and caring and accepting towards Satan

Right so
1.) Mammon puts a lot of emphasis on consent with MC:
• He scolds them for kissing him without asking
• He leaves the ending of the script he wrote open ended so they could pick who they wanted to romance in the film festival event
• He doesn't ask them to the dance in S2, instead he hints that he wants to be asked but if they deflect he's disappointed but doesn't bring it up
• He's so apologetic when he gets cursed and forcefully throws himself at them even though it was a 100% not his fault
• When they have sex for the first time he asks them to tell him what to do next
2.) Mammon's claustrophobic
• In s3 when trapped in a small dark room with his siblings + diavolo he's the only one who starts panicking and isn't able to breathe - he basically has a panic attack
3.) In Nightbringer, newly Fallen Mammon isn't scared of horror or ghosts at all
4.) Then Adam possesses him for some minutes, doesn't do anything malicious at all and just wants to be reunited with his lost lover. But Mammon comes out of that so terrified that he remains extremely scared of ghosts and horror (even if it's just movies) for the following thousands of years
5.) After Adam leaves, Mammon says he was trapped in his own body screaming at the others but unable to do anything or reach out to them
For someone who values consent so much & who's claustrophobic that must have been traumatic

[TRIVIA] A Compilation of Random Trivia about Sato Ryuji (Part 03)

A Compilation of Random Trivia about Sato Ryuji (Part 02): HERE
1. When he auditioned for Kamen Rider Fourze, he felt he was at a disadvantage compared to other fresh, good-looking young actors. So, he created a delinquent image because he thought being a “bad boy” would help him stand out.
He won the role of Satake Teruhiko (Hound Zodiarts).
2. He’s been scouted to be a host more times than he’s been scouted to be a celebrity, and has joked that he’s probably been scouted to be a host about 100 times. In his acting career, he’s played the role of a host in “Kizoku Tanjou -PRINCE OF LEGEND-” and “Eerie Mienai Kao”.
3. He cried when he did the read-through of the script for the “Musical Touken Ranbu ~Bakumatsu Tenrouden~”.
4. He made his debut in the entertainment industry when he was still in high school, and went to a school that offered “home correspondence courses”. Because of this, he has not properly experienced the high school life. He also missed his graduation ceremony due to work.
5. He does his own character makeup for his roles of Uchiha Sasuke from the “Live Spectacle NARUTO” and Kashuu Kiyomitsu from the “Musical Touken Ranbu”. The style of makeup he uses for The Brow Beat is his own personal style.
6. Ryuji once planned to prank Kado Shuntarou by switching KadoShun-san’s water with clear tea, which he had wanted to use as content for the MC. He got HAKUEI-san to help him do it.
Only for Ryuji to forget all about it with KadoShun-san not even realising that he had been pranked.
7. During his school days, he was a cheerleader (“ouen danchou”).
8. His role of Dean Paxton in the “Musical ‘JAMIE’” is the first time he is playing a role that has been double-cast.
9. During The Brow Beat’s collaboration with HARAJUKU POP MAGAZINE, he was styled in gothic lolita fashion. He looked so much like a girl that even he, himself, wondered if it was okay for him to be in the men’s toilet when he looked at his reflection in the mirror.

10. His weak point: Mascot characters
He finds it scary when they approach him without changes in their facial expression. When he comes across them in theme parks, he’ll avoid them. He’s also never taken a photo with them (of his own volition).
11. When he played baseball in school, he played in the position of third baseman.
12. He doesn’t like and can’t eat coriander.
13. On October 16, 2011, he officially made his entertainment industry debut in Episode 07 of Kamen Rider Fourze as Satake Teruhiko (Hound Zodiarts).
14. In addition to being a drummer, he was also a vocalist in a band during his high school years. However, it was a band that nobody was interested in, and during their live performance, they were at the venue for half an hour without being wanted.
15. For the “Live Spectacle NARUTO”, along with other stunts like trampoline and general acrobatics, he also had to do an aerial acrobatic performance. He would practice the aerial performance at a different place in the morning before joining “Live Spectacle NARUTO” rehearsals in the afternoon.
16. Since his childhood, he was told by his parents, “Don’t lead an ordinary life.” His father had told him, “My life isn’t interesting. Don’t lead an ordinary life like me.” His parents were civil servants.
17. His parents supported his decision to join the entertainment industry, and his career also became the trigger for them to quit their previous jobs. His father now owns a car shop, and his mother helps his father out at the shop.
18. He has a high alcohol tolerance. Torigoe Yuuki, who has a reputation for his hardcore drinking sessions, lists Ryuji as a top tier heavyweight drinker. And, according to Saeki Daichi, Ryuji can drink the entire night until morning, without sleeping, and still be completely fine the next day.
19. However, on the occasion that Ryuji is affected by alcohol and is tipsy, he becomes someone who is wide-eyed innocent and happy.
20. He has been and is part of a few long-running stages.
8 years > Musical Touken Ranbu (Toumyu): 2015 - Now
6 years > Live Spectacle NARUTO (Narusute): 2015 - Now *
2 years > Gakuran Kageki “Teiichi no Kuni”: 2015 - 2017; Present◆5: 2013 - 2015

Kashuu Kiyomitsu Tanki Shutsujin (2018)
I went ahead and did my best at translating the Kashuu Kiyomitsu Tanki Shutsujin (2018) concert.
Please note before downloading that:
I am not Japanese
I am only around an N3, so I'm not fluent in Japanese
These subs are not perfect
Some can (and should!) do better subs
The file is just the subtitle file
The subs were timed to the bluray version of the concert
But I thought that this would be good practice for me, and I thought it would be a good next step after helping with the Hanamaru subs. I did have a lot of fun making them, and I hope that these subs benefit someone out there!
If you have feedback, please let me know!

satan is such an interesting character to me cause like
he’s the youngest brother, but he’s arguably the most mature and composed. 3rd tallest, 4th strongest, and absolutely the most educated.
Of all the Demon Bros, he’s the only one who wasn’t an angel, but he’s also the least devilish of all of them? I already made a post about how Satan is rarely angry, despite being the Avatar of Wrath, but it should also be noted that he seems to be the most virtuous and likeable. The Obey Me! wiki specifically says “[Satan] is very good at meeting new people and building connections with them, as seen in his Devilgram story Why Do People Love Cats.”
The fandom discounts him as a mini-Lucifer sometimes, but this is a total misrepresentation of his character. The creators even made a point of making Satan’s colour scheme the exact opposite of Lucifer’s. In Lessons 9 to 11, Satan makes up with Lucifer and their relationship improves signficantly, and before Lesson 9, Satan was barely a part of the story. As well, it often seems like Lucifer is targeting Satan, not the other way around - Lucifer ignores Satan in the initial introduction of the Bros, and upon finally introducing him, Lucifer implies that Satan is not the responsible demon he apprars to be. He also says that Satan’s smile is just an act.
In the game’s lore, Satan was born of Lucifer’s wrath towards God, and he was raised/taught by the Demon Bros. The wiki says Lucifer “had the most influence on him, though not in a good way.” I don’t remember ever reading this lore in the Lessons, and it certainly seems contradictory that he was raised by demons but ended up as the least devilish of them. My theories are as follows:
1. Some of the upcoming lessons will give Satan some much-deserved screen time, and focus on why he’s such a Good Boy despite his circumstances.
2. Lucifer is right, and Satan is hiding a SIGNIFICANTLY darker side (as we occasionally see when he gets truly angry), which would be a very interesting plot twist.
Regardless of what comes to pass I will still find him sexy and mysterious
