Want to help me out with a future SMB Custom Character project? FEEDBACK NEEDED!

When Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble modding becomes feasible, I plan on bringing over several in-universe SMB characters from previous games as fully playable characters!

Yoko (Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz)

Jam (Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll)

Jet (Super Monkey Ball 3D)

With this project, I intend to fully adapt these characters to Banana Rumble's art style from the ground-up. No asset reuse whatsoever. This means brand new custom models, animations, voicework, the works! I've got some concept redesigns down for the three characters, and am working on honing in on a final design to move forward with! For that, I need your help!

This feedback form has all the concept designs laid out! If you have the time, please consider going through and letting me know which designs you're feeling! This will help me in deciding which direction to move forward with! Thanks!

Growing up as an orphan with untamed psychic powers, Yoko led a troubled childhood. Her recklessness paired with her inability to control her powers hindered her ability to make friends, and pushed anyone who grew close to her away. Her volatility made her a danger to everything around her. The people of her island would grow to fear her until she was eventually banished from her own village. Outcast from her people, Yoko was left to fend for herself. She began to question why she was given the burden that had persisted since her birth. She was lost.

One day, there came Captain Crabuchin, a burly space pirate whose pursuit of interdimensional treasure would eventually lead to him crossing paths with the wandering marmoset. Though cold and sinister in exterior, his interest was piqued by the young marmoset's curiosity. He picked up on her fighting spirit and resolve, and was taken aback by the power she had under her control. For the first time, it felt like there was finally someone who saw Yoko's powers as a gift rather than a curse. She quickly grew comfortable around the Captain and was taken under his wing.

Over the following years, Crabuchin raised Yoko as his own while teaching her to control and embrace her innate abilities. Now fully grown, Yoko acts as second-in-command to the Captain, making full use of her psychic powers to stand against anything in their way. The space pirate duo now sails the sea of stars, plundering timeline after timeline of untold riches. Their next target: The Golden Banana Bunch.

Been loving playing with Yoko's backstory as a time-traveller from the future. It suits her well. I want to do more with this and flesh it out eventually. We LOOOOVE making headcanons for abandoned characters in media :D
