AITA for 'outing' someone for writing inc*st?

I (20F) am in a moderately large fandom that got popular during the pandemic. Most of the fic for this fandom is gen and platonic pairings, which is a rarity and fantastic. One of the most popular creators in the fandom puts out a ton of gen fics that I really loved. Unfortunately, I learned after that they write fics on a different account, and not just any fics, but inc*st. I'm not talking about found family. These characters are literal brothers in canon. I can't believe anyone would ship them together, much less this person. I unfollowed them and now, whenever I see anyone talking about how much they love this creator, I inform them about the alt account and their ships. Ignorance may be bliss, but I felt awful when I found out and realized I'd been supporting them for so long and I don't want anyone else to feel that way. But someone replied to one of my comments calling me the asshole, telling me I was outing the creator, and to mind my own business. AITA?

Day 3 reminder that tumblr is now banning blogs that include posts with:

victims discussing their experiences of child sexual abuse

suggestive art of characters who are drawn in a soft, chibi, or kawaii style.

suggestive art of characters who are under the age of 18.

suggestive fanfiction of characters who are under the age of 18, including ships where all characters are teenagers/minors.

discussions and headcanons about the sexuality of characters under the age of 18.

Earlier today we shared our theory as to why proship accounts were being terminated and why these terminations were not being reversed as false/mistaken.

Our theory was that tumblr was actually enforcing the rules outlined in it's TOS change from November 2022, which appeared to be banning all depictions of underage characters in fictional text and artwork, as well as adult characters who are too short/chubby/cute etc.

As of now, this theory has been confirmed as true.

Fictional images and text about underage characters or characters who "appear" to be underage (no criteria or metric given) are no longer welcome on tumblr and are an offense receiving account termination.

This was confirmed by @proship-writing-prompts-archive who shared this screenshot regarding account termination.

Likewise it appears that victims discussing their experiences of child sexual abuse are no longer welcome on tumblr either. This info was shared by @xxlovelynovaxx and is also the likely reason for our own recent termination.

Tumblr is now officially a fiction and art hostile site. Please remember to treat it as such. If you think your content may fall under tumblr's new prohibition, please make sure to only post it at AO3, Pixiv, Inkbunny or Aethy and link to that account on your tumblr.

Likewise remember that these new rules apply equally to all members of the site, and that if you see fancops discussing child sexual abuse, or sexualizing characters who are under age those posts may (and should) be fairly reported.

I am urging all of my fellow fans in proship/comship spaces to start treating tumblr like the hostile place it now is.

if your art or fiction could in any way be understood as involving child characters or characters who appear to be children, do not post it directly to tumblr.

Post this type of content on AO3, Inkbunny, Pixiv, and Aethy ONLY.

Put a link on your tumblr account to these other accounts and alert friends on tumblr when you have updated new content on another site.

Do not use tumblr as a primary host for this type of content it is now officially against the TOS and you can be banned for posting or even discussing it.

If your theory is correct then that's absolutely terrifying especially if you consider the type of people who will always benefit when places delete or censor victims & survivors when they tell their own experiences.

Oh also do you plan on staying on Tumblr or are you thinking of alternatives? It must be draining to have to go through this process over and over again.. I hope you're doing okay and make sure you're not overworking yourself.

we will be staying on tumblr but we will unfortunately begin closely monitoring the things that we say and the tags that we use.

we will be posting other content elsewhere-- we're trying to determine where now, between aethy, dreamwidth, and a private blog.

Gods, I loathe making these posts, but here we are...

I got kicked out of my mom's house and am now homeless. My friends can no longer house me due to apartment rules. I am a disabled woman who's a victim of domestic violence, can not work, and is struggling to get accepted into housing due to messy legal issues with my ex. I am applying for legal help and disability, but until a homeless shelter can take me in, I have nowhere to sleep. I need $305 in order to get a hotel for a few days until I hear back from the homeless shelter.
