2024 New York vs. 2013 London.

Different time and place, same stare and smile.

Chris stared at Zach in the same way and with the same smile as he did eleven years ago.

With all the pride and delight, admiration and contentment, tenderness and fondness.

It was as if time had never passed.

I'm happy that finally after years, on TV, there is a healthy couple. Usually we are used to seeing something else but what we are seeing between Oliver and Josh is something unique.

They have had an uphill journey, at the beginning their differences, their characters kept them apart but little by little they understood each other, they got closer in a natural way. It is Josh who most of the time made Oliver change his mind (Roman's decision) and who made Oliver reason (when he was on drugs and the risk he ran and made Dana run).

Dealing with Oliver, a doctor, is not easy. He is so brilliant, so out of context, so stubborn, he doesn't listen to anyone and this leads to difficulties.

Then there is Oliver, a person, so different from the doctor. Oliver who fights for him, for Josh, going against his mother (with whom he has many unresolved things) and above all doing things he didn't expect (finally a cell phone) but above all letting a person (who is not Carol) enter his life.

finally a healthy couple, a couple that has had a natural evolution, a couple that, even when one of the two is missing, you feel the lack of the other. josh who even buys a cell phone to hear Oliver and Oliver who accepts it just to hear Josh.

Brilliant Minds is a wonderful series, that finally shows us something else, takes us deeper into mental health and lets us know a doctor never seen before (that's why I've never accepted comparisons with other doctors and other TV series)

Finally something beautiful and genuine on TV 🤍
