Named Casper High Students
In Danny's class
Also probably in Danny's class
Not in Danny's class
Pic 1: We all know these people.
Pic 2: Girls names are from Tucker's PDA in Beauty Marked. You can find fandom wiki pages for all of them except for poor Annie who for some reason seems to have no mention.
FANON: Agent F (Brittany)
Boys names have come up in conversations. Nathan has been called both Nathan and Lester. His full name could very well be Nathan Lester regardless of if the two different names were on purpose or they simply forgot he already had a name. (Or you could make them identical twins.)
Pic 3: We all know Jazz. Others are one-off characters who have a name but we see them only once. Spike appears in the Mystery Meat with Jazz:
"Spike, you have to open up to your parents! Be true to yourself and them."
Nate makes an appearance in Attack of the Killer Garage Sale :
"Here's your pizza, Sam."
"Thanks, Nate."
Lyle is a band kid from Splitting Images :
"Hi. I'm Lyle. Wanna help me clean my spit valve?"
This is his instrument

Ref Recs for Whump Writers
Violence: A Writer’s Guide: This is not about writing technique. It is an introduction to the world of violence. To the parts that people don’t understand. The parts that books and movies get wrong. Not just the mechanics, but how people who live in a violent world think and feel about what they do and what they see done.
Hurting Your Characters: HURTING YOUR CHARACTERS discusses the immediate effect of trauma on the body, its physiologic response, including the types of nerve fibers and the sensations they convey, and how injuries feel to the character. This book also presents a simplified overview of the expected recovery times for the injuries discussed in young, otherwise healthy individuals.
Body Trauma: A writer’s guide to wounds and injuries. Body Trauma explains what happens to body organs and bones maimed by accident or intent and the small window of opportunity for emergency treatment. Research what happens in a hospital operating room and the personnel who initiate treatment. Use these facts to bring added realism to your stories and novels.
10 B.S. Medical Tropes that Need to Die TODAY…and What to Do Instead: Written by a paramedic and writer with a decade of experience, 10 BS Medical Tropes covers exactly that: clichéd and inaccurate tropes that not only ruin books, they have the potential to hurt real people in the real world.
Maim Your Characters: How Injuries Work in Fiction: Increase Realism. Raise the Stakes. Tell Better Stories. Maim Your Characters is the definitive guide to using wounds and injuries to their greatest effect in your story. Learn not only the six critical parts of an injury plot, but more importantly, how to make sure that the injury you’re inflicting matters.
Blood on the Page: This handy resource is a must-have guide for writers whose characters live on the edge of danger. If you like easy-to-follow tools, expert opinions from someone with firsthand knowledge, and you don’t mind a bit of fictional bodily harm, then you’ll love Samantha Keel’s invaluable handbook

I haven't seen anyone else talk about this yet so I'm going to assume no one has (and if this is the millionth post about this I am so sorry), but apparently there was a leak at Viacom last month, and one of the things that got leaked was the original Danny Phantom pitch bible, and let me tell y'all, there is some interesting lore to be had. I've taken the liberty of summing up a few notable points, but feel free to read for yourself - it's pretty short.
Jack was originally written as an ex-spy, test pilot... basically if it was a daring job, he probably had it. His IQ was supposedly only one point off from Maddie's, and his bumbling was more of a result of him being more "brave than smart."
Maddie was originally written as "one of the world's most respected theoretical physicists" and the brains between her and Jack. Get this: her full name was supposed to be Madison!
Sam and Danny's psychic connection was actually a result of the accident. When he was in the hospital and still very much saturated with ectoplasm, she gave him a "get better" kiss on the forehead, which sparked the connection. The connection would've manifested in a number of ways, including a perpetual ability to "sense" the other, see visions, and hear each other's thoughts, though it was supposed to be somewhat unpredictable.
Jazz hid her brains from her cheerleader friends because she wanted to fit in with them.
Danny was supposed to be the only person able to see, hear, and interact with ghosts.
On the subject of Danny, his reputation for being a scaredy-cat was much more well-known, even to the point where Sam and Tucker gave him the nickname Danny Phantom before he even had his accident. This kid was scared of his own shadow, frogs, you name it.
Overshadowing was originally called "ghosting," and the more intelligent a person, the more difficult it would be to control them.
Jack and Maddie were hoping to break the barrier between the "Real World" (our world) and the "Unreal World" (the ghost world). They wanted to get through to the spirit realm to be able to communicate with the dead in order to help make the world a better place (think picking Einstein's brain a little more, seeing what other music Mozart has cooking, etc.). That dimensional barrier was damaged when they first tried out their experiment, and Danny - who was hiding out from Dash in the lab - would be caught in the middle.
Much like how fans have interpreted things and how the show tried to imply, Danny felt responsible for unleashing the ghosts into our world and decided to adopt the name Sam and Tucker had teased him with to help put a stop to their reign of terror.
Seriously, y'all should read this. There's a lot of interesting info in here, and really it sounds like such a cool concept?? Like I'll probably add my personal thoughts in a reblog, but there's a lot of potential for untapped creativity from the phandom here. Plus it's always nice to see what's technically official content almost 20 years after the show's premiere.

After an obscene amount of ordering, getting that ordere cancelled, ordering again, getting that package delivered to the wrong city, arguing with FedEx, arguing with Target, ordering AGAIN, and having a four week delay -
I finally got Danny Phantom A Glitch in Time!!
I’m not the best at reviewing things, but my most important thoughts are below the cut:
- I love when Danny discovers Dan (called Phantom, but he’s Dan) is loose, you can see the distress on his face in every panel. He’s not smiling, he’s pulling into himself, the stress lines are literally on his face.
- Vlad! Vlad! Vlad!
- Jazz’s magical girl transformation *chef’s kiss*
- Vlad is an unapologetic bitch, and he completely owns it.
- Dan’s design while he has Clockwork absorbed is FIRE! I love it!!
- Can I just say that I adore how much Danny CARES about everyone? He offers to help Dan, to give him a home, before they fight. He wants to give Dan a place to belong.
- Vlad’s redemption felt so natural and so right. He’s been through so much, he’s done everything in his power to get what he wants. And now he knows that, yeah, that’s not how it works. (But he has a child now, so I’m stoked for that arc) (Will Dani come back for the next issue? What will she think of Dan? I NEED sibling rivalry with those two)
- The Disasteroid is both canon and not canon now. Time travel fuckery for the win!
Was the months of fighting with various customer services worth it? 10000000% yes
Do I hope the next issue gets an in store release to I can just go grab one at Barnes & Noble? Please, god.

Okay but like, the Danny Phantom environments are like,
really cool
like I just think they’re neat
I have a lot of these saved actually, because I like them so much
This one is a gif but you get what I mean:
They all have really congruent color palettes, which is just so pleasing to me. They’re pretty good at building mood while also maintaining a togetherness that doesn’t pull attention away from the people in the scene. It works so well that sometimes, you just don’t pay attention to the backgrounds - which means they’re doing their job, sure, but they deserve some recognition too, imo.
Anyway, I leave you with this:

i just found this and played through it a couple times, and i love it!!! any additions felt at home, the ending i got first had me delighted, + the spritework is fantastic :]]
no matter what direction you take, i'm excited to see where it goes!!
( got me to boot up rpgmaker for the first time in 3 years, too. i'm having fun bringing life to a little dp-inspired world:] )
Thank you!!! I’m always so glad when I hear that any additions I made feel right!
And I’m so happy the sprites look good. I worked so hard on them lol. And the “secret” characters were so fun to make ^^

Ectober Night - page 1
[ current ] - [ Next ]
[ uncontrollable screaming ]
Phew! That’s the hardest page in chapter 1 out of the way! I’m still a bit of a newbie to drawing big ‘ol environments like this but I think by the end of this comic I’ll be a dab hand at drawing buildings!
I’m going to be aiming for a page a week at least :> hoOO Here we go! I’ll be honest my hearts a thumpin’, has been since I posted the cover, I know that may seem a little silly, but this project means a lot to me and I just really hope you guys enjoy it 💖

I loved the dialogue of the game so much! It felt so very authentic and I'm so hungry for more. Will we ever see a fully or at least partially realized Danny Phantom fan game? If yes, do you have any estimates for the timeframe? If no, why not? There's so much potential here, it's incredible.
Aw thank you so much! I always worry my added dialogue comes off as bad or unfitting to the canon.
So to be 100% clear and honest, I AM technically still planning to release a full game. I want so bad to have a fully finished and detailed experience for fans to experience. As for a time frame, well, uh… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have not worked on this game in a long time. I’m certain I know where all my images and sprites are, so I know I don’t have to remake anything. But at the same time…
I’ve been thoroughly debating whether or not to switch from simple pixel style or if I want to go whole hog and parallax the game. For anyone who doesn’t know the difference (which I don’t blame you for, I barely knew about the difference), it’s allowing an extra depth of detail to make it feel less barren and grid-strapped. Parallaxed maps can have objects placed anywhere I want without having to fill in a thousand templates that I’ll never use again.
The issue with that is that it’s difficult for me to visualize how it all fits together. Since it’s not simple images I throw together and then have the character sprite move around. What it looks like while building it is essentially the grass and sky layer, an “unseen” layer with buildings and trees that don’t appear in the maker but do on the play test screen, and THEN I’d have to plan sprite movements around all that.
I’m short, I’m still mentally planning this game. I haven’t worked on it, but that’s because me and my husband have only just gotten settled into our new place.
(Plus I’m still waiting on a new P.C. since Newegg screwed me over for the last time).
