Figured I should cross post this as an update for those of you still following me. Just some life updates on why this blog has been barren for a while.
I am still mentally working on this game. I have notes and sketches and ideas scattered around. I’m still mentally planning out battle systems and sprites and attack percentages and all that.
oops i havent touched this tumblr in years because i keep making fandom accounts instead.
i think i’ll come back here and have this kinda be an everything blog that i’ve been into LOL #noshame
so uh, hi everyone who follows me, i probably don’t remember anyone but i’d love to be reintroduced to people and say hi to people :)

i love how the sprites in dprpg (disney pixel rpg) actually make the characters from different franchises (or games, technically) have different looks to their sprites!!! the sleeping beauty characters have an animesque look since theyre from a rpg, pooh is animated similar to stardew valley since hes from a farm game, etc

i just found this and played through it a couple times, and i love it!!! any additions felt at home, the ending i got first had me delighted, + the spritework is fantastic :]]
no matter what direction you take, i'm excited to see where it goes!!
( got me to boot up rpgmaker for the first time in 3 years, too. i'm having fun bringing life to a little dp-inspired world:] )
Thank you!!! I’m always so glad when I hear that any additions I made feel right!
And I’m so happy the sprites look good. I worked so hard on them lol. And the “secret” characters were so fun to make ^^
Thank you for playing my game <3 I’m really hoping that I’ll get back to work on it soon!

I loved the dialogue of the game so much! It felt so very authentic and I'm so hungry for more. Will we ever see a fully or at least partially realized Danny Phantom fan game? If yes, do you have any estimates for the timeframe? If no, why not? There's so much potential here, it's incredible.
Aw thank you so much! I always worry my added dialogue comes off as bad or unfitting to the canon.
So to be 100% clear and honest, I AM technically still planning to release a full game. I want so bad to have a fully finished and detailed experience for fans to experience. As for a time frame, well, uh… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have not worked on this game in a long time. I’m certain I know where all my images and sprites are, so I know I don’t have to remake anything. But at the same time…
I’ve been thoroughly debating whether or not to switch from simple pixel style or if I want to go whole hog and parallax the game. For anyone who doesn’t know the difference (which I don’t blame you for, I barely knew about the difference), it’s allowing an extra depth of detail to make it feel less barren and grid-strapped. Parallaxed maps can have objects placed anywhere I want without having to fill in a thousand templates that I’ll never use again.
The issue with that is that it’s difficult for me to visualize how it all fits together. Since it’s not simple images I throw together and then have the character sprite move around. What it looks like while building it is essentially the grass and sky layer, an “unseen” layer with buildings and trees that don’t appear in the maker but do on the play test screen, and THEN I’d have to plan sprite movements around all that.
I’m short, I’m still mentally planning this game. I haven’t worked on it, but that’s because me and my husband have only just gotten settled into our new place.
(Plus I’m still waiting on a new P.C. since Newegg screwed me over for the last time).

World Map: Amity Park, Train Tracks
This one was a hard map to make. Not only was it super bright and colorful, meaning I couldn’t just steal colors from neighboring houses, but I had to hand-make all that playground equipment!
A few fun facts about this map:
- That broken Merry-Go-Round is based on the coloring of a trampoline from Nicktoons Unite. For some reason, I decided a Merry-Go-Round would be easier to make. And then I realized I should probably make it move. And then I decided it was old and “broken” because I didn’t want to deal with that.
- I made that swingset specifically for one mid-to-late-game sidequest. I’m hoping to find more uses for it since it was such a pain to make.
- The Pet Store and the Butcher Shop were originally one store when I was first making this map. I was making buildings based on my original LP of Nicktoons Unite and I didn’t get a good look at the building. I figured it was just some weird, large meat market. And then, once I re-recorded the level with plenty of jumping to get buildings and signage, I proceeded to fall over laughing.
- The reason I actually replayed NU? I had no idea what the TV store was. It was just some suddenly pink building that I had no clue as to what it looked like. So I had to order a AV2HDMI converter (since the cat peed on and ruined our first one) and then find a PS2 controller just so I could go exploring again!
- And thanks to my replay of NU, I managed to update Dash’s street to look more accurate. Nothing major changed, so I’m not going to post it. You’ll just have to check it out for yourselves ♥
I’m still missing some doors, and there’s a gate that will go across the street leading up to the railroad. And I obviously have done 0 interiors. Those will all wait until I finish the overworld map.
Map Percentage Complete: 11.6%
I had to look up the formula for calculating percentages. I haven’t been in a math class in 12 years ;-;
total size (-) completed maps = difference
difference / total size = percentage left
100 (-) percentage left = completed percentage of map
For future reference because I’m stupid and will forget.

Happy 2nd Anniversary!
AKA my bi-yearly “I’m not dead” post ♥
However, I don’t just have excuses this time, I have...
New battlebacks!
Whoo!
I know it’s not much, but it is one step further to getting an explorable overworld map!
And with the basic street bottom all drawn up, all I have to do is make a few different tops to match the street you’ll be fighting on!
I know there’s been a Butch video up for a few days, and for those of you interested I’m going to get it transcribed, I just haven’t yet.

World Map: Amity Park, FentonWorks
I decided to post this as an image instead of my usual text post so that y’all could SEE my pain!
And it’s still not complete!
I have to change the doors on the apartment, the one to FentonWorks, make a window for Tucker’s attic, add a gate to the cemetery, add GRAVES to the cemetery! And goodness knows I’ll be moving trees and bushes around until I’m completely done with this map.
But I wanted to get this posted to let you guys know I am still working on my game. It’s just that my work schedule is the worst and I’m in a constant state of exhaustion because of it. Believe me, I’m just as bummed as you that I can’t do my usual weekly updates.
But looking at this hunk of map, I realize that FentonWorks isn’t as big as I thought it looked all on it’s own.
It’ll still be slow going from here, but I’m going to do my best for you guys! I want to play this game just as bad as anyone else!
Map Percentage Complete: .3%

Here’s a fun way to ruin your day:
Get started on the next map.
Feel pretty good because it’s going smoothly.
Open One Of A Kind to get zoo reference images.
Realize that the shipping docks from the cold open are noT ON THE OVERWORLD MAP!
Realize that you now have to find a place to squeeze them onto the map.
Realize you left yourself no room for the docks!
Hope that you can get away with shoving them into Elmerton because that section isn’t mapped out yet.
Cry.
#dprpg#Danny Phantom#Overworld map#screw you box ghost#and the docks you died on#or under#i made myself sad
