you feel the red rise to your face at his sudden question, feeling flustered. he lets out a soft chuckle at your reaction.

"it's okay, you don't need to reply. i like you too"

"h-how did you know?"

you gently placed a blanket over your boyfriends sleeping form, shutting off the tv where you previously been watching your and seungmin’s favorite tv show, to which he fell asleep. you placed a kiss to his forehead and stood up, intending to head to your shared bedroom, as the couch didn’t have much room, but were stopped by seungmin dragging you down to lay beside him, mumbling into your hair.

You decided to write on your free day just for “fun” and Hyunjin watched every movement you made.

“You’re writing again?” he started laying his head on the table and sighs.

You spend most of your time doing school work and if it isn’t school work, it’s writing and you like writing which is something Hyunjin knows.But today he started bothering you more than usual.

“Let’s watch a drama please!! at least one episode”. You looked at him and he was all pouty.

“You spend time writing too much, shouldn’t you rest a little?”

You ignored him but the questions he kept giving you were starting to pile up from “What are you writing about?” “When will you finish?” “I’m hungry, are you?” “Why-“

“Hyunjin can you just go?! go watch the drama by yourself if that’s what you want to do so badly”

You were so focused in writing that you didn’t even pay attention to Hyunjin’s feelings. By the time you realized that what you did was wrong, he was already gone. Then your phone beeped. It was a message from Hyunjin.

“I know what you’re thinking right now… it’s okay.. you like writing but I really think you should take a break and spend time with meee”

He was right and so you stopped. On your way to the front door, you saw Hyunjin on the couch picking a drama. I guess he didn’t leave after all, you thought.

"not in front of the others," he'd say, blushing because you tried to peck his lips a few seconds before. but you didn't listen. instead, you kept pecking his lips just to see him get flustered.

he was cute when he was flustered, and that's why you loved him.

with seungmin cuddled up next to you like that, the light from the tv brightening up the room as a romantic movie played, anyone could assume that the two of you were a couple - but alas, you were just best friends.

you'd been friends since as long as you could remember but in recent years you've developed a feeling that you never thought you'd develop when you played together as children. you had a crush on him. a big one.

when the movie began nearing an end, you moved closer into his hold, his heartbeat that matched your own drowning your ears. you loved being like this, tight in his hold. you felt protected and as soon as you began drifting to sleep, the boy gently shook you.

"y/n-ah, there's only a few minutes left. stay awake for me, yeah?"

your sleepy mind stared at the screen, the final kiss playing. it made you think of seungmin - about how much you'd like that to be you and him.

"minnie," your drowsy state called his name.

"yeah?"

"i think i love you, like, more than friends."

he chuckled slightly at this, "i think i love you too."

the end credits of the movie began to screen as you finally fell into slumber, seungmin placing a kiss to your forehead and carrying you to a comfier place to sleep.
