idk I think the ending for the sisters relationship is fitting—they’re completely doomed by the narrative. it’s never going to work out and they’re never going to be happy and alive together, that’s how it’s always been and that’s how it always will be. like with viktor saying jayce is the only one that can save him and this is the only possibility, jinx and vi unable to exist together is also their only possibility. kinda similar to (spoilers for the umbrella academy) the ending of tua where the only answer was the siblings never existing. also a controversial ending but in that show universe, they were always doomed by the narrative and all their attempts to undo/fix that would never have worked. it’s the nature of their being. some characters don’t get what they desire, some characters are doomed by the narrative. that’s what the narrative is for.

The funniest part of Ekko going to the alt timeline is how he casually and accidentally reminds everyone of the most traumatic things to happen to them

Like imagine you go to your future-son-in-law's graduation party after presumably knowing him for years and just not seeing him for a couple months and the FIRST thing he says to you is "remember when your husband tried to fucking murder you" LIKE???

Also, imagine your bf/situationship/lab partner/ best friend, who has spent time with you nearly every day for years and KNOWS how your sister died just starts suddenly being like "Your sister died? How did it happen? DID YOU MURDER HER?"
