Just imagining kids seeing reader with dyed hair growing their natural hair out and assuming reader is dying. They see mothers do that when they age, so human dad must be also dying. On actuality reader just can't dye their hair bc they're in space n thragg would kill them if they leave the ship. But saying that would turn the mothers against reader.

The mothers (thraxans) finding some alien fruits that dye everything they touch so now there's bunch of kids walking around with dyed hair and reader with the same hair color. Having dyed hair is punishment enough, but until natural hair doesn't grow out no one us allowed near reader. Bad influence. (Everyone forgets about it n reader is back to being bad influence)

If they take a picture n look at it in the future they can pretend that they never were thraggs soldiers.

The differences and similarities between tech jacket n invincible(pls add on):

- tech jacket represses so much while invincible emotional state is the main part of his character

- spoilers: different types of alien threats (space immune systems/alien politics)

- Zack was fascinated with space bc he felt he doesn't belong, Mark knew he was half alien n wanted to know more bc of that

-Zack doesn't give second chances, Mark is gonna die if he doesn't

-Zack dropped out of high school(at least wasnt shown attending the ceremony), mark got into college(but also dropped out)

Now to similarities:

- both bodies has been changed by aliens (tech jacket can not be taken off unless the wearer dies/viltrumite DNA didn't take full force until 17)

- both started out as 17 year-olds who want to help people

- dating someone not the same specie as them (geldarians/mark is half human but still pretty much viltrumite ie hes different specie from eve)

- spoilers: become alien royalty at some point (married into royalty/an heir to the throne)

- got tech from aliens(tech jacket itself/viltrumite technology come on)

- spoilers: parents r reasons for some type of conflict later in the series (no I'm not talking about Nolan killing guardians in the first episode/yes i do talk about zacks parents selling tech jacket without asking him)

-healthy relationships (Lin+Xi/Eve)

-space teen/young adult veterans (Zack twice with different alien wars)

All in all Zack was created before Mark as a character so Mark inherited some of Zacks traits. Which does include fucked up life. I'm so sorry for them. Can't wait for 4th season to include Zack bc I'll start using gifsets for shitty edits with Alex g songs :>
