You need to move off of Google Docs!

I know some people have seen the news recently and may be doubtful of it. To the uninformed, Google Docs has started using AI to find "inappropriate" and "problematic" content, scraping your documents and deleting it. I know some people are unsure if this is real or think this is not going to affect them.

I regret to inform you that this is real.

As I was on a call with some writers and we were moving our documents as a precautionary measure, one person discovered entire pages missing that they did not delete themselves. This is happening to us, it's not a hoax or a rumor, it's happening right now. You need to move everything if you want to preserve it.

If you're a writer with writer mutuals, please reblog this so they know. I rarely write on Google Docs anymore, but I started my fanfics on there, and I would be devastated if I lost works more than ten years old because people decided marketing appeal is more important than creative freedom.

Clark Kent Dating Headcanons

Finally saw Superman today and literally cannot get over how much I love him. I wrote this in like 30 mins he’s in my head and won’t get outttt.

The two of you probably met working at Daily Planet. He was the first person you became friends with at the job and you became very close. Every morning he would get you coffee and a pastry. The two of you would have long conversations about whatever was on your minds, Clark’s geeky side coming out and leading to talking about Star Wars and comic books, and he always tentatively listened to your interests and passions. Everything you told him stored in the back of his mind so that he could surprise/impress you later. He walked you out to your car, even if it was pouring. He was the sweetest man you’d ever met and he never expected anything in return for his kindness.

He was too shy to tell you about his feelings for you, so after weeks of watching him stare at you with the look of a lovesick puppy Lois and Jimmy finally set the two of you up.

He’s 100% the greatest boyfriend you’ve ever had. He’s a romantic at heart; believes in long walks, coffee dates, and sweet handwritten letters. He holds your hand without hesitation and gets you flowers and gifts “just because”.

He’s always a gentleman. Opens doors for you, asks before he kisses you, and checks in to see how you’re doing/feeling throughout the day. He carries everything for you, whether it be groceries or your purse. You’re treated like a princess. He’d carry you if you’re tired if you asked.

He’s an amazing cook because he helped his ma, so most nights he spoils you with home cooked meals and new recipes he thinks you’ll like. It also carries into the morning, he makes you breakfast and brings it to bed.

He also makes sure to love on you a lot in the morning so he knows you’ll have a good start to your day.

Regularly says “I love you”.

Gives you compliments on compliments, and means every word he says.

Calls you cute pet names like “honey” “sweetie” “sweetheart”.

He doesn’t curse and instead says things like “what the hay” “gosh” and “golly” and it makes you laugh seeing a grown man scared to curse.

He loves helping you around the house. Even before the two of you move in together, he insists on helping you wash dishes and do laundry and just likes taking care of you any way he can.

He’s a big cuddle bug and wants you in his arms whenever possible. At night he whines if you have to get out of bed to go to the bathroom or get water. Sometimes he gets up with you just so he can stay close to you.

it's no secret you're fond of edd. in fact, fond isn't a strong enough word to describe just how you feel about him. he's kind. he's charismatic. he makes you laugh with those stupid jokes he loves to tell. he has a knack for his career in art, and his love for his favorite fizzy drink is downright laughable. he's a bit of an asshole, but you suppose that makes him that much more endearing. but most of all, he cares deeply about the people he loves. and you're honored that he's integrated you into his own wacky little world. it makes the moments like these, spent together in a cozy silence on the sofa, all that more precious. you're seated on one side, with him on the other. there's a sketchbook in his lap with an unfinished draft of his latest work on the open page. you've had the privilege of being able to browse his work every now and then. it was surprising to learn how shy he actually was about showing it off, but it was a part of him he chose to share with you.

✩‧₊˚ "it's not my best work, honestly. pretty sure i was coming out of art block with this one.." edd mutters as he slides his sketchbook into your hands, a sheepish hand going up to his neck.

you look down at his latest piece of work, thoughtful. doesn't matter which way you tilt your head, you don't see the flaws he's speaking of. maybe it's because you're a little biased. "well, i don't see anything wrong with it.. far as im concerned, it's a great piece!" you look to him with an earnest smile, the kind that crinkles the corners of your eyes. "i think it's perfect, eddie." he blinks. those warm brown eyes of his are gazing at you as if you've hung the very stars in the sky. it steals your breath away with how reverently he's looking at you. you swear there's also this adorable shade of pink coloring his cheeks. you realize you've never actually been this close to him before. sure, you've exchanged plenty hugs, but this was something else entirely. something intimate and precious. every blemish and detail of his face suddenly seems so clear to you now. the way his shaggy hair falls perfectly into place. the rounded slope of his nose. the little patch of stubble on his chin.

has he always been this handsome?

the moment is over as you both quickly look away from one another, equally flushed. "a-anyways! here--" you hand over his sketchbook, to which he takes it back with slightly shaky fingers. "oh, uh.. thanks."

✩‧₊˚ from then on, there's been a definite shift in your relationship. something unspoken, yet mutually agreed upon. edd's brows are pinched together in focus as his pencil glides skillfully across the page. he's about to get into the finer details when a socked foot suddenly appears in his vision, toes wiggling giddily. the stupid polka dot pattern on it has his heart doing this weird happy flutter. his expression is deadpan as he looks over at you. "if you don't get your foot off my damn book." "what're you gonna do, big man?" you giggle as you prod him a little more, eager to see what he'll tolerate before he snaps back to retaliate. you paw at his sketchbook. occasionally, you nudge at his hand. then, you raise your foot and lay it flat against his cheek. that seems to be the last straw.

"you little shit--"

you squeal in delight as a sudden blur of green finds itself on top of you, pinning you against the sofa cushions. a heavy weight is right on your chest, making you wheeze as you bat at his back and shoulders. edd's a big guy-- hell, you can't even fit him in your arms whenever you go in for a hug. but he's so warm.. kind of like a weighted blanket. it'd be a lot comfier if your tits currently weren't being flattened against your ribs.

"get off!! edward, i swear to god--!"

his expression is all shit-eating and smug, even though you can't see it. "nope. i warned you, so now you're gonna suffer."

in response, your thighs lock around his waist and keep him flush against you. his face is burning, and all of a sudden he's grateful that you can't see him. after all, your thighs wrapping his torso was kinda hot--

"fine then," you hum, "but you're not going anywhere!"

edd's voice drops to a teasing croon, one that makes your heart skip a beat as he mutters in your ear. "oh yeah?"

your arms fly around his neck as his hands come behind your back, pulling you both abruptly. you're now seated in his lap, with him keeping you steady by the waist. the both of your faces are flushed, breaths coming out in heavy hot puffs of air. you look like a proper pair of idiots, but you truly couldn't care less.

the mood seems to shift as you both catch your breath. he's so close now.. edd sighs through his nose, shaking his head. yet, there's an affectionate smile on his lips as he looks back down at you.

"you are insufferable.."

you just grin up at him, index finger playfully tapping his nose. his cheeks flush a little darker at that, much to your amusement.

what a dork. "yeah, but you love me."

"..yeah." edd responds softly.

there's a tone to his voice you can't quite place. almost like he's afraid to say it any louder. one of his large hands comes up to delicately brush a few unkempt strands out of your face. it's so gentle, so tender.. a ripple of goosebumps blooms across your skin. and he's looking at you with an expression you've only ever seen on him since that day you complimented his work. those sweet doe eyes stare back into your very soul, making you feel exposed yet so safe. it's perfect.

"eddie?" his name barely leaves your lips. "hm?" "i--"

your goddamn phone goes off. the rosy lens is cracked and suddenly the two of your are jolting away from one another with flustered stammers and apologies. you swear that you're gonna throttle whoever dares to interrupt your precious moment. "sorry, i gotta-- y'know.. work and whatever!"

"no, that's-- yeah! mhm, cool! w-work's important! go, uh... yeah." you rush out the front door, phone in your hand while he's left inside. never has your face felt so hot. and dear god, your heart is beating so fast, it's a wonder you haven't fallen into cardiac arrest yet. your hand cups your cheek, reminiscent of where his own had just been. slightly calloused and rough.. but sturdy. and oh so gentle.

"..fuck." you hiss through gritted teeth. you've been aware of your feelings about edd for a while. you'd hoped that maybe things would simmer away. that these feelings, these thoughts would disappear. he's a physical lover after all. hand holding and prolonged hugs were just the norm for your two. sometimes, that even entailed cuddling! but it seems your heart is insistent at keeping you close. maybe it's wishful thinking, but the optimistic part of you hopes that maybe you aren't misguided in your thoughts. that maybe, just maybe you have a chance with this sweet boy. your thumb swipes across the screen of your phone to return the missed call from your boss.

...the entire phone call, you can still feel your cheek tingling from where edd's thumb had grazed it a few moments prior.
